Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Powtoon video learning media in an effort to improve science learning outcomes at SDN Cibuk Lor Seyegan, Sleman Yogyakarta in class VI students in the 2020/2021 academic year. This research used Classroom Action Research method with 2 cycles with 2 meetings in each cycle. The data collection instrument used an observation sheet on the implementation of learning and tests to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes. The results showed that the mastery of learning from cycle 1 to cycle 2 reached 75%. In addition, student learning outcomes also increased with the acquisition of test results from an average of 67.65 to 74.12. The use of powtoon video learning media can improve student learning outcomes at SD Negeri Cibuk Lor on plant vegetative propagation materials.

Abstract

In practice PAI teachers are allegedly not understanding the use of multiple choice question models in accordance with the guidelines in preparing questions, because PAI teachers tend to use traditional multiple choice models. This study will reveal what types of multiple choice models have been used by PAI teachers. In addition, we will see the extent of the teacher's understanding in preparing questions based on the guidelines in the guidelines for formulating multiple choice questions. This research uses a qualitative research model with a field research model or field research. In this case the researcher will describe the results of the study in answering the problem formulation, using interview, observation and questionnaire techniques as data collection in the field. The results of this study indicate that PAI teachers are more likely to use the multiple choice question model with the usual model without being varied from one model to another. Meanwhile, the teacher's understanding based on the guidelines for making multiple choice questions is in the good category even though there are several different answers.

Abstract

This study aims to see how the statistical comparison of students who have not and have taken statistics courses for non-exact students. This research is a quantitative research with a survey approach. The instrument in this study adopted the Statistical Anxiety Scale (SAS) which consists of 3 components (worry, avoidance, emotionality) with a total of 17 items with 4 scales. Respondents in this study were students of the State Islamic University of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten in the first semester until the end of the semester. The number of samples in this study was 238. The results showed that there was no difference between the anxiety of students who had not and had taken course statistics. Nevertheless, descriptively the probability of changes in student statistics between before and after taking statistics courses. At the rate of increase the percentage decreases while at the rate of increase the percentage decreases. This shows a change in student statistics after taking statistics lessons, especially in the pandemic era by still using a bold learning system

Abstract

This study aim to detect an item that biased on gender (divided by male and female) by DIF (Differential Item Functioning) on school examination test in Yogyakarta regency in islamic education subject for third grade of Senior High School based on item respons theory . This research is quantitative research and the subject for this study are 937 Senior High School students in Yogyakarta regency taken by their response sheets on 50 items test with of choices of islamic education subject in school examination at year 2016. Data analysis based on Rasch model with Winstep 3.73 software. The research found that the there are item that biased on certain gender, there are 26 items that have probabilitas value less than 0.05 and t-value outside the range of -1.96 ≤ t-value ≤ 1.96, based on plot from the result analysis there are 14 items (6, 9, 10, 13, 15, 16, 20, 25, 28, 30, 31, 32, 41, 48) tend to give advantage for Male, and there are 12 items (1, 11, 12, 14, 21, 22, 29, 38, 40, 43, 46, 50) tend to give advantage for Female.

Abstract

The ability to think at a high level is not only memorizing facts or concepts but also requires making something about these facts or concepts. Various studies reveal that the higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) of students in Indonesia are still low, coupled with the Covid-19 pandemic, which requires students to study online. For this reason, researchers develop learning models that invite students to learn, analyze, create, share and apply learning outcomes in life. The model developed is called LACSA, namely, Learn it, Analyze it, Create it, Share it, and Apply it. Lacsa learning model then saw its effect on students' high-level thinking skills. This quasi-experimental study used a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The research was conducted on two classes at SMPN 30 Tangerang City. One class is designated as a taught control class with K13 and one experimental class with LACSA learning. Data on students' high-level thinking skills and observation tests were then analyzed using descriptive statistics one-way ANOVA. The results showed that classes taught with a blended learning-based LACSA learning model received higher HOTS scores and differed significantly from K13 classes. In addition, lacsa's blended learning-based learning model has the potential to improve students' HOTS in both upper and lower academics. Therefore, the LACSA learning model based on blended learning during the Covid-19 pandemic is recommended for learning.

Abstract

This present study is set out to examine and investigate the effect of using Strategy-Based Instruction as a new approach to teaching reading comprehension, students' motivation, and self-regulatory of students at SMK Lab Business School Tangerang. 30 students were used as a sample. To complete the aim of this study, a quasi-experimental approach is used as a one-group pretest-posttest and regression analysis. Students' motivation, self-regulated learning, and reading comprehension were assessed for all students in the treatment. Analyses examined treatment effects on reading comprehension, motivation, and self-regulated learning. Results from this strategy-based instruction treatment did not reveal statistically significant results for the effect of reading comprehension ability. There was no significant difference between observed and expected motivation and self-regulated learning frequencies on reading comprehension ability. However, there was a different value between the pretest and post-test of reading comprehension ability.

Abstract

Diskursus mengenai ketersediaan informasi, ketepatan media dan aksesibilitas informasi memiliki peran penting terhadap partisipasi orang tua peserta didik di sekolah. Namun, partisipasi masyarakat (stakeholders) selama ini lebih berupa dana dan sarana, dan cenderung kurang terlibat dalam pengambilan keputusan, pelaksanaan, monitoring, maupun evaluasi program. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, dengan teknik analisis jalur (Path Analysis). Variabel pada analisis jalur terdiri dari variabel eksogen dan endogen. Pada penelitian ini variabel eksogen terdiri dari Ketersediaan Informasi (X1), Ketepatan media informasi (X2), dan Aksesibilitas Informasi (X3). Variabel endogen adalah Partisipasi (Y). Keempat variabel tersebut diduga saling berpengaruh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan seberapa besar pengaruh pada variabel-variable tersebut. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan Tidak terdapat pengaruh langsung antara ketersediaan informasi, ketepatan penggunaan media informasi sekolah, dan aksesibilitas informasi terhadap partisipasi orang tua.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the process of academic implementation, achievements and not yet achieved and strategies for achieving and following up on academic implementation at the Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Humanities, State Islamic Institute of Purwokerto 2015-2020. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. Data collection and data verification were carried out with FGDs from leaders, lecturers, and education staff. The results of this study reveal that academic implementation at the Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Humanities, State Islamic Institute of Purwokerto 2015-2020 has been carried out based on curriculum revisions that refer to the determination of graduate profiles, learning outcomes, determination of study materials, determination of courses, and curriculum preparation. To support the learning system, a semester learning plan (RPS) is prepared.

Abstract

Vocational High School (VHS) graduates as new workers are expected to be able to enter the workforce immediately after completing their education with the skills they have. But in reality, many graduates from vocational students do not work according to their field of expertise. This study aims to reveal competencies according to standards and needed by the construction industry and how much relevance is the level of competence in the curriculum and implemented in schools. The study was conducted in 15 construction industries with the characteristics of the respondents, namely directors, project and site managers, estimators, senior engineers and drafters, and architects. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The instrument, which consisted of 37 competency items, was validated using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) techniques and the reliability was based on the Average Variance Extracted and Construct Reliability (CR) values. Overall, the competency instrument has met the Goodness of Fit (GoF) of construct validity and reliability. The results of the study reveal the level of relevance of civil engineering competencies based on three aspects, namely basic knowledge, work skills, and personal, obtaining results of 80.856% with relevant categories. These results are a reflection of the percentage of the construction service industry's needs for the competencies mastered by civil engineering graduates. This can be interpreted that the curriculum used in schools has taken into account the needs of the industry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan program sekolah MTsN 5 Agam yaitu ProgramTahfidz Qur’an sebagai salah satu Mata Pelajar muatan wajib disekialh tersebut. Penenlitian ini menganalisis program pendidikan MTsN 5 Agam dengan menggunakan model evaluasi CIPPO ((komponen konteks (C), masukan atau Input (I), Proses (P), dan hasil atau produk (P), juga diperlukan evaluasi terhadap dampak atau outcome (O)). Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, kemudahan menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif ini adalah karena mudah untuk menyesuaikan jenis penelitian kualitatif ketika berhadapan dengan berbagai realitas. Hasil peenlitin ini menunjukan bahwa setiap aspek evaluasi menunjukan hasil yang sangat baik, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa program yang dilakasanakan sangat baik.
