Abstract

Mahasantri have heavier study demands than students who only attend lectures because Mahasantri must participate in activities at the dormitory and on campus. This study employs a quantitative approach using a theoretical model development research design, followed by statistical testing using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The study involved a sample size of 180 Mahasantri, who were deemed suitable and met the criteria for SEM analysis using the Maximum Likelihood method. The results of this study successfully developed a theoretical model explaining that academic achievement (PA) of Mahasantri is significantly influenced by self-esteem (HD), self-regulation (RD), and achievement motivation (MB) of Mahasantri.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of group guidance with psychodrama techniques in overcoming learning saturation among university students. This mixed-method study employed an embedded design with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest approach as the dominant quantitative component. The sample consisted of nine university students from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at FKIP UNCEN, selected through purposive sampling based on high learning saturation scores from a 30-item questionnaire measured on a 5-point Likert scale. The results demonstrated a significant reduction in learning saturation levels following the psychodrama intervention, with paired t-test analysis showing a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (t = -4.739, df = 8, p = 0.001). Qualitative findings further revealed that students experienced improved self-control, increased relaxation, and enhanced learning motivation after participating in the psychodrama sessions. These findings indicate that group guidance with psychodrama techniques is an effective approach for reducing learning saturation among university students.

Abstract

Life in Pesantren not only develops unique cultural values of the archipelago, but also Islamic values in a culture of behavioral change by prioritizing principles such as education (ta'dib), paying attention to social situations and conditions (i'tibar ahwal an-nas), and gradual implementation (at-tadrij). In this context, it is important to consider the application of guidance and counselling pesanren theory so that the guidance and counselling process is in accordance with the context of the conditions of santri/students in Islamic boarding school-based educational institutions. This research uses library research methods and content analysis as data analysis techniques. The research results show that the role of Islamic boarding school guidance and counselling is not only in shaping behaviour, but also in developing the interests and talents of students so they can compete with advances in general science. The function of Islamic boarding school guidance and counselling is a preventive and curative function which is translated into several positive activities in the form of a study of akhlakul karimah, a student's etiquette towards his father and mother, a santri's etiquette towards his Ustadz/Ustadzah, learning etiquette, and other etiquette that will prevent him from doing bad or negative thing.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of differentiated instruction and the storytelling model on student learning outcomes through social-emotional skills in social studies learning for fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Kampungdalem. Using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method, this research explores the relationships between these variables. The results indicate that differentiated instruction and storytelling significantly influence students' social-emotional skills, which act as a mediator in improving learning outcomes. However, neither has a direct significant effect on learning outcomes. This suggests that strengthening social-emotional skills can be a key factor in enhancing students' academic achievement. These findings highlight the importance of instructional strategies that focus not only on academics but also on the development of social-emotional skills. Teachers are encouraged to optimize differentiated instruction and integrate storytelling with other methods. Schools are advised to provide teacher training and develop programs that support students' social-emotional skills. Future research can explore other factors influencing learning outcomes and adopt more in-depth research approaches.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the Covid pandemic that occurred in 2020, and left an impact on children's language development. The Covid pandemic limits space and time for everyone to communicate, as well as children's communication. Schools are closed, communication is done online so that children and teachers have limitations in learning. For more than two years, the warning conditions have been running, children spend their time with gadgets as a connection and the rest is used as a tool for entertainment. The problem is whether gadgets as software trigger speech delays? The purpose of the study was to determine the main causes of speech delays in children. Of the 43 students of TK Negeri 1 Pembina, 4 children experienced speech delays, 2 were in the moderate category and 2 were in the high category. Of the 4 children, 3 were boys, 1 girl experienced speech delays. Speech delays occur due to lack of communication due to parents working, childcare patterns are carried out by grandmothers. Another triggering factor is the unlimited use of gadgets above an average of 2 to 3 hours per day without supervision.
