Abstract

Lelakaq adalah ungkapan tradisional yang menyerupai pantun, terdiri dari empat baris, dua baris sampiran dan dua baris isi yang biasa di gunakan dalam adat tradisional suku Sasak.Lelakaq bertujuan untuk menyampaikan pikiran masyarakat yang tumbuh dan berkembang dari waktu ke waktu, khususnya dalam acara sorong serah pada ritual pernikahan adat sasak. Penelitian ini adalah tentang kajian terhadap lelakaq yang merupakan ungkapan tradisional. Masalah dalam penelitian ini berkaitan dengan bentuk, fungsi dan makna lelakaq.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis wacana berdasarkan teori pragmatik semantic ( Kempson 1984) Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui observasi,wawancara dan analisis dokumen yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data interaktif (Miles & Huberman 1994).Kajian bentuk yang meliputi tipologi, diksi, dan stilistika yang mengungkapkan beberapa pokok persoalan yang berkaitan dengan aspek fungsi dan makna lelakaq. Fungsi lelakaq dalam Sorong Serah adalah sebagai mencakup fungsi imformasional,Expresif,Direktif,Estetik dan Fatik . Adapun analisis makna lelakaq menunjukan bahwa lelakaq mempunyai makna pragmatik,yaitu makna lokusi,ilokusi dan perlokusi(Kempson,1984) Sedangkan makna semantic lelakaq adalah: makna konsepsional, konotatif, sosial, afektif, reflektif, kolokatif, dan makna tematik. Menurut ( Leech 1981).Kata Kunci : Lelakaq,Analisis wacana,Sorong serah . Lelakaq is a traditional expression which is similar to traditional poetry that consists of four lines, the first line being sampiran and the others are contents its usually used in sasak traditional ceremony. Lelakaq aim to communicate society thought which rises and develops from day to day especially when the process of sorong serah sasak ritual.This research inspect on lelakaq which is used as traditional expression.In this study the discussion is limited to looking at the form,function and meaning of lelakaq. The research use the discourse analysis based on the semantic Kempson(1984)speech act Searle(1969) and pragmatic meaning in lelakaq. The methology used in this research by observation, interview and analysis documents than analyzed by using interactive data.The result of the research conclude that Lelakaq in Sorong Serah have form, function and meaning.The form of lelakaq include the typology, diction and stylistic that expression that correlation with the form,function and meaning of lelakaq. Functions of Lelakaq in Sorong Serah are: As Entertainment, tool of education, cultivation of moral value, medium fastener of brotherhood and advice.The analysis of meaning,in term of pragmatic meaning as proposed by Kempson(1984) are locution, illocution and perlocution meaning,while the semantic meaning as proposed by leech(1981)are conceptual, connotative, social, affective, reflective, collocative and thematic meaning.keyword : Lelakaq,Analisis wacana,Sorong serah

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan (1) bentuk sintaksis yang berkaitan dengan frasa, klausa, dan kalimat, (2) makna semantik, dan (3) fungsi pragmatik yang terdapat dalam sesenggak Sasak. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data primr dalam penelitian ini dari buku kumpulan sesenggak Sasak karya Drs. H. L. Muhammad Azhar, SH Msi, yang berupa dokumen data sesenggak Sasak sebanyak 150 data. Kemudian sumber data sekundernya adalah hasil wawancara dengan para tokoh masyarakat penutur sesenggak Sasak, berupa penjelasan-penjelasan yang berkaitan dengan makna, fungsi, tujuan dan konteks sesenggak digunakan. Objek penelitian difokuskan pada bentuk, makna, dan fungsi sesenggak. Teknik dokumentasi digunakan untuk memperoleh data primer, dan teknik wawancara untuk memperoleh data sekunder. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif. Kegiatan analisis data terdiri atas (1) reduksi data, (2) penyajian data, (3) Verifikasi. Ada tiga temuan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu (1) sesenggak Sasak dari sisi bentuk sintaksis terdiri atas frasa nominal, frasa verbal, frasa ajektival, frasa adverbial, frasa numeral, dan frasa preposisional. Kemudian terdapat juga klausa yang meliputi: klausa nominal, klausa verbal, klausa bilangan, dan klausa depan. Berikutnya ditemukan juga kalimat majemuk setara dan kalimat majemuk bertingkat. (2) sesenggak Sasak yang mengandung aspek makna semantis berupa makna konotatif, sosial, afektif, reflektif dan kolokatif. (3) Analisis fungsi menunjukkan bahwa fungsi pragmatik bahasa yang muncul dalam sesenggak Sasak meliputi: fungsi informasional, ekspresif, direktif, dan estetik. Kata Kunci : sesenggak, form, function, and meaning This study aims to analyze and describe (1) syntaxtic form related to phrase, clause, and sentence which are found in sesenggak sasak. (2) Semantics meaning, (3) and Pragmatic function. This study is a descriptive research in which it applies qualitative analysis. The procedure of overcoming the problem applied in this study was library observation, then the data were analyzed and interpated by giving conclusion. The research results indicate that: (1) Syntactic form of sesenggak Sasak consists of: Phrase which covers noun phrase, verb phrase, adjective phrase, adverb phrase, numerical phrase, and prepositional phrase. Then, clause covers noun clause, verb clause, numerical clause, and prepositional clause, (2) semantics form of sesenggak Sasak consists of: konotation meaning, social, affective, reflective, and collocative, (3) function analysis shows that pragmatic function appears in Sesenggak Sasak cwhich covers: informational, expressive, directive, and estatic function. Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan (1) prinsip organisasi tuturan guru (2) pola organisasi tuturan guru; dan (3) teknik pengembangan tuturan guru di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Selong. Subjek penelitian adalah seorang guru bahasa Indonesia kelas XI. Objek penelitian ini adalah prinsip organisasi tuturan, pola organisasi tuturan, dan teknik pengembangan tuturan guru di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Selong. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara disertai pencatatan lapangan dan perekaman. Analisis data dilakukan tiga tahap, yaitu (1) reduksi data, (2) penyajian dan klasifikasi data, (3) penyimpulan dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian bahwa tuturan guru dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Selong adalah (1) prinsip organisasi tuturan guru bahasa Indonesia meliputi prinsip koherensi, kesatuan, dan penekanan. Ketiga prinsip itu saling berkaitan satu sama lain untuk menciptakan tuturan yang informatif; (2) pola organisasi tuturan guru bahasa Indonesia berupa pola urutan kronologis, topikal, kausal, dan pemecahan masalah; (3) Teknik pengembangan tuturan guru bahasa Indonesia berupa teknik induktif, deduktif, sebab akibat, menjelaskan, contoh, dan perulangan. Dengan demikian, tuturan guru dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Selong ditinjau dari retorika memperlihatkan adanya prinsip organisasi tuturan, pola organisasi tuturan dan teknik pengembangan tuturan yang bervariasi yang digunakan untuk mempersuasi dan menjelaskan pelajaran.Kata Kunci : tuturan, retorika, guru, pembelajaran This research used a descriptive qualitative. The purpose of this research was to describe and explain (1) The principle of teachers’ speech organization (2) The pattern of teachers’ speech; and (3) The technique of developing teachers’ speech on the conversation at the eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Selong. The subject of this research was Indonesia Teachers who were teaching at the eleventh grade. The object of the research were; The principal of teachers’ speech organization, The pattern of teachers’ speech, and The technique of developing teachers’ speech on the conversation at the eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Selong. The data of this research were collected by using obseravtion technique and interview accompanied with note taking on the field and recording. Analyzing the data were done into three phases, Namely (1) data reduction, (2) presentation and classification of data and, (3) summary and verification of data. The result of the research shows that teachers’ speech in teaching Bahasa Indonesia at the eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Selong are as follows: (1) The principle of teachers’ speech organization in teaching Bahasa Indonesia used the principle of coherence, unity, and stressing. All these principles related each other to create informative speech; (2) The pattern of teachers’ speech organization in the form of chronological, topical, causal, and porblem solving. (3) The technique of developing teachers’ speech in teaching Bahasa Indonesia in the form of inductive, deductive, causity, explanation, examples, and review. Thus, the teachers’ speech in teaching Bahasa Indonesia at the eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Selong viewed from the rhetorica shows that there is the principle of speech organization, pattern of speech organization, and technique of developing speech variously which is used to persuade and explain the lesson. keyword : Speech, rhetorica, teachers, and Learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair and Share terhadap kemampuan berbicara Bahasa Inggris ditinjau dari tingkat kreativitas siswa kelas VIII MTS NW Lenek dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen post test-only control group design dengan rancangan factorial 2x2. Dari populasi sebanyak 126 siswa diambil 102 siswa sebagai sampel yang kemudian dimasukkan pada kelompok eksperimen dan control menggunakan teknik random sampling. Instrument yang digunakan dlam penelitian yaitu tes keterampilan berbibicara bahasa Inggris berupa tes kinerja dan kuesioner kreativitas siswa. Kemudian data dianalisis dengan menggunakan ANAVA dua-jalur, selanjutnya dialakukan Uji Tukey. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) ada perbedaan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran model TPS dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. (2) ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dengan tingkat Kreativitas terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris pada siswa kelas VIII MTS NW LENEK. (3) ada perbedaan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris antara siswa dengan tingkat Kreativitas tinggi yang mengikuti model TPS dengan siswa yang mengikuti model Konvensional.(4) ada perbedaan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris antara siswa dengan tingkat Kreativitas rendah yang mengikuti model TPS dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran model Konvensional.Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif TipeTPS (Think Pair and Share), Model Pembelajaran Konvensional, Tingkat kreativitas siswa, Kemampuan Berbicara This research aims at investigating the effect of cooperative learning type Think Pair Share on English speaking skill viewed from creativity of eight grade students of MTS NW Lenek using experimental method of posttest only control group design with 2x2 factorial. Form the population of 126 students, 102 students were taken as the sample which then divided into experimental and control group using random sampling technique. Instruments used for this research were English speaking skill performance test and students’ creativity questionnaire. Data were analyzed using two-way anova and followed using Tukey test. The result of the research shows that: (1) there is a difference of English speaking skill between students following Think Pair Share model and those following conventional model, (2) there is an interaction between learning model used and creativity on English speaking skill, (3) for those having high creativity, there is a difference of English speaking skill between students following Think Pair Share model and those following conventional model, (4) for those having low creativity, there is a difference of English speaking skill between students following Think Pair Share model and those following conventional model.keyword : cooperative learning type Think Pair Share, conventional learning model, speaking skill.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan jenis, macam, dan fungsi tindak tutur yang digunakan para pengawas dalam supervisi akademik pada guru SMA di Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengambilan data secara etnografis melalui teknik rekam. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa tindak tutur dalam kegiatan supervisi akademik pada guru SMA di Kabupaten Lombok Timur menyimpulkan tiga hal sebagai temuan, yakni: (1) jenis tindak tutur yang meliputi tindak tutur langsung, tidak langsung, literal, tidak literal, langsung literal, langsung tidak literal, tidak langsung literal, dan tidak langsung tidak literal dan yang paling dominan digunakan peserta tutur adalah tindak tutur langsung; (2) macam tindak tutur yang meliputi tindak lokusi, ilokusi, dan perlokusi dengan tindak lokusi sebagai tindak yang paling dominan muncul pada ujaran-ujaran para peserta; dan (3) fungsi tindak tutur yang meliputi fungsi direktif, komisif, ekspresif, representatif, dan deklarasi dengan fungsi direktif yang paling dominan muncul dalam ujaran para peserta tutur. Kata Kunci : tindak tutur, supervisi akademik, etnografis This research aims at analyzing and describing types and functions of the speech used by supervisors in academic supervising of senior high schools in East Lombok Subdistric. It used qualitative approach which data were taken ethnographically using recording technique. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive. The results of this research are (1) the type of speech involves direct speech, indirect speech, literal, non-literal, direct literal, direct non-literal, indirect literal, and indirect non-literal, while the most dominant used by the speakers is direct speech; (2) the kind of speech involves locution, illocution, and perlocution with the locution is the most frequently used on the speech of the speakers, and; (3) the function of speech involves directive, commisive, expressive, representative, and declarative with the most frequently used is the function of directive form the speech of the speakerskeyword : speech, academic supervision, etnografis

Abstract

Suardhana Nengah I (2013), " Ketrampilan Berkomunikasi Para Pemandu Wisata dalam Penanganan Pelanggan". Tesis ini telah disetujui dan diperiksa oleh: Pembimbing I: Prof Dr PK Nitiasih, MA dan Penasehat II: Prof Dr N. Adi Jaya Putra , MA. Kata kunci: verbal dan non-verbal komunikasi, pemandu wisata. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguraikan keterampilan bahasa pemandu wisata dalam hal komunikasi verbal dan non-verbal dalam berurusan dengan wisatawan asing. Penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan observasi, interview, kuisoner dan dokumentasi. Dua puluh kuesioner diisi oleh wisatawan dari dua Biro perjalanan wisata. Jan’s toursTours & Trave Ltd, yang terletak di Denpasar dan Destination Asia Travel, yang terletak di Padang Galak, Sanur. Data terdiri dari pita rekaman percakapan, menggunakan random sampling. Kuesioner ini meneliti kemampuan komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal dari Pemandu wisata yang ada di Bali. Sebuah rekaman verbal setiap pemandu wisata juga diperoleh sebagai data pendukung. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa dalam komunikasi verbal, keakuratan informasi menduduki peringkat "baik" dalam 40% kasus, kelancaran komunikasi menduduki peringkat "baik" dalam 35% kasus dan pemahaman itu peringkat "baik"dalam 35% kasus. Dalam hal keterampilan komunikasi nonverbal, bahasa tubuh dinilai "baik" dalam 25%, ekspresi wajah, 50%, kontak mata, 60%, gerakan berjalan, 55% dan 55% bersalaman. The purpose of this study was to describe the language skills of tour guides in terms of verbal and non-verbal communication in dealing with foreign tourists. Besides, this study is descriptive analysis. This study is a descriptive analysis. Data was collected using observation,, interview and documentation. The data consist of completed by tourists from two travel agents. Jans Tours and Travel Ltd, located in Denpasar and Destination Asia Travel, located in Padang galak , Sanur. These questionnaire examined the verbal and non-verbal communication skills of Balinese tour guides. A verbal recording of each tour guide was also obtain as supporting data. The results of this study revealed that in verbal communication, the accuracy of the information was ranked as "good" in 40 % of cases, the fluency of the communication was ranked "good" in 35% of cases and the comprehension was ranked " good " in 35 % of cases. In terms of the non-verbal communication skills, body language was rated "good" in 25%, facial expression, 50%, eye contact, 60% , walking gesture, 55% and hand shaking 55%. keyword : verbal and non-verbal communication, tour guides

Abstract

This research is to evaluate the implementation of English school-based curriculum (ESBC) in SMP Negeri 3 Sakra Timur. This evaluation research used Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) model from Stufllebeam (1986). Context variable is limited only in school’s geography, school’s vision and mission, school program, school management/organization, and school’s SWOT. Input as the supporting point of the program concerns curriculum (SBC), teachers’ characteristics, facilities, school’s environment, and school’s budgeting. Process includes program development plan, teaching practices, assessment of students’ learning, and decision making. Product or output can be measured from two aspects, namely: students’ non-academic achievement, and students’ academic achievement. There were 5 participants used as the subjects of the present study and they were headmaster, vice headmaster of curriculum, and 3 English Teachers in year 2012/2013. The data were collected by using questionnaire, guided interview, observation and document analysis. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative method. The result shows that: (1) context, input, and product variables were positive ( + ) means good, (2) process variable was negative ( - ) means not good. It could be concluded that the English teachers in SMP Negeri 3 Sakra Timur in East Lombok regency were good enough in implementing school-based curriculum in academic year 2012/2013. From the evidence, it is suggested that English teachers should be facilitated to strengthen their awareness in teaching English.keyword : evaluation study, curriculum implementation, school based curriculum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kesulitan mahasiswa dalam penulisan skripsi. Penelitian ini mengikuti penelitian deskriptif yang dikemukakan oleh Sapsford (di Cohen, Manion and Morrison, 2007: 209) yang meliputi definisi masalah, penyeleksian sampel, desain pengukuran, dan fokus partisipan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa dari departemen bahasa di Universitas Mahasarwati. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar penilaian para ahli, kuesioner dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengidentifikasikan tiga faktor utama yang memengaruhi kesulitan siswa dalam menulis skripsi. Pertama, faktor psikologis yang meliputi kekurang percayaan diri dalam memutuskan judul skripsi, memiliki pengetahuan dasar mengenai topik skripsi, dan menulis skripsi yang baik. Kedua, faktor sosial budaya yang meliputi kemampuan untuk menghubungkan dan membentuk kalimat menjadi penulisan skripsi yang baik, untuk memiliki pengetahuan yang baik dalam penulisan skripsi, dan untuk memahami budaya akademik di jurusan atau universitas mengenai penulisan skripsi. Akhirnya, faktor ketiga adalah faktor linguistik yang terdiri dari kesulitan dalam mengurangi kesalahan penggunaan tata bahasa dalam penulisan skripsi, dan dalam mengetahui dan/atau memutuskan bagian tata bahasa mana yang seharusnya dihapus, digantikan, ditambahkan dan diatur kembali dalam penulisan skripsi. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi pada pengajaran menulis akademis, terutamanya dalam penulisan skripsi.Kata Kunci : Penelitian Deskriptif, Penulisan Skripsi, Faktor Psikologis, Faktor Sosial Budaya, Faktor Linguistik This study aimed at finding out the factors affecting undergraduate students’ difficulties in writing thesis. This study followed the descriptive survey research proposed by Sapsford (in Cohen, Manion and Morrison, 2007: 209) which involves problem definition, sample selection, design measurement, and concern for participants. The subjects of the study were the undergraduate students in the English Department of Mahasaraswati University. The data were collected through expert judgment sheet, questionnaire, and interview. The findings of the study identified three major factors that affected undergraduate students’ thesis writing. First, psychological factors that comprised lack of confidence in deciding thesis title, having prior knowledge due to thesis topic, and writing a good thesis. Second, sociocultural factors that covered ability to connect and form each sentence into meaningful thesis writing, to have knowledge of proper lexical items and linguistic units, and to have an understanding about the culture department of the university regarding the format of the thesis writing. Finally, the third factor is the linguistic factors that consisted of difficulties in minimalizing grammar error, and in knowing and/or deciding the grammatical items which should be deleted, replaced, supplied and reordered. Abstract

Studi eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh strategi komik yang diunduh dan gaya belajar terhadap kemampuan membaca naratif kelas sebelas siswa SMAN 2 Singaraja. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain faktorial 2x2. Data kemampuan membaca naratif siswa dikumpulkan dengan instrumen yang merupakan tipe tes pilihan ganda. Sedangkan, data gaya belajar siswa dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistik dengan ANAVA 2 jalur and uji Tukey. Temuan penelitian ini adalah; 1) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca naratif antara siswa yang diajar dengan komik yang diunduh dengan yang diajar dengan strategi konvensional, 2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca naratif antara siswa field dependent dan siswa field independent, 3) terdapat pengaruh interaksi yang signifikan antara strategi mengajar (komik yang diunduh dan konvensional) dan gaya belajar siswa (field dependent dan field independent) terhadap kemampuan membaca naratif, 4) tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca naratif antara siswa field dependent yang diajarkan dengan strategi komik yang diunduh dan yang diajarkan dengan strategi konvensional, 5). terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca naratif antara siswa field independent yang diajarkan dengan strategi komik yang diunduh dan yang diajarkan dengan strategi konvensional.Kata Kunci : komik yang diunduh, gaya belajar, kemampuan membaca naratif This experimental study aims at investigating the effect of the Downloaded Comic Strategy and learning style on students’ narrative reading competencies of eleventh grade students of SMAN 2 Singaraja. The design of this research was 2x2 factorial design. The data of students’ narrative reading competencies were collected by using a multiple choice type test. Meanwhile, the data of students’ learning style were collected by using questionnaire. The acquired data were analyzed statistically by two way ANOVA and Tukey test. This research discovers: 1) there is a significant difference in narrative reading competencies between the students taught with Downloaded Comic Strategy and those taught with Conventional Strategy, 2) there is a significant difference on students’ narrative reading competencies between field dependent students and field independent students, 3) there is a significant interaction effect of teaching strategy (downloaded comic and conventional) and students’ learning style (field dependent and field independent) on students’ narrative reading competencies, 4) there is no significant difference in narrative reading competencies between the field dependent students taught with Downloaded Comic Strategy and those taught with Conventional Strategy, and 5) there is a significant difference in narrative reading competencies between the field independent students taught with Downloaded Comic Strategy and those taught with Conventional Strategy.keyword : downloaded comic, learning style, narrative reading competency

The study administrated a 2X2 factorial design, which 175 students were involved as the sample. The data were collected by using qquestionnaire and a reading test then analyzed by Two-way ANOVA.
