Abstract

Introduction: The differences of indication, procedures, and post delivered care between normal delivery and cesarean section are estimated to make a difference in service quality from patients perspective. This study aimed to compare service quality from patient’s perspective on normal delivery and cesarean section in PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta Hospital. Method: This research used an observational analytic study with cross sectional approach. Minimum respondents amount (n=100) were calculated based on Cohen, Manion, and Morrison table. Respondents were recruited from Annisa ward in PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta Hospital and only 97 respondents were participated and appropriated with restricion criteria during Desember 2015 until January 2016. Service quality from patient’s perspective measured by Quality Impact score (QI). Service quality from patient’s perspective as dependent variable and delivery methods as independent variable were analyzed using Mann – Whitney. Result: There was no significance difference of service quality between normal delivery and cesarean section (p=0.064)based on Mann – Whitney result. Conclusion: There was no significance difference of service quality between normal delivery and cesarean section in PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta Hospital. Abstract

Background: Adolescent in Indonesia are currently undergoing social changes from traditional society to modern society. This condition  may trigger adolescent to develop a bad behavior, for example bad sexual behavior if accompanied by bad influences such as permissive  environment or mass media. There are multiple factors that can influence adolescent behavior. Family, in this case parents educational degree and family economy status are thought to have great influence in adolescent behavior. Methods: This research was analytic observational research using  survey methods with cross sectional design. Stratified cluster random sampling was used for sampling methods. The samples are 103 students from class X, XI, and XII. Data were obtained from questionnaire that has already validated. The data were analyzed using Spearman statistical analysis with Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 17 for Windows. There are two variables, parents educational degree (low, middle and high category) and family economy status (low, middle, high). Results: There are 103 respondents which consist of 81 good sexual activity respondent and 22 bad sexual activity respondent. Spearman and Kendall-tau show that correlation coefficients between adolescent sexual activity  with parents educational degree are  0.442 and 0.431, respectively (p value <0.001), whereas correlation coefficients between adolescent sexual activity with family economy status are 0.338 and 0.329, respectively (p value <0.001). Conclusions: It can be concluded that there is significant association between parents educational degree and family economy status with adolescent’s sexual behavior.Correlation coefficient are positive, that is the higher educational degree or family economy status, the higher possibility the adolescent to do a bad sexual activity. Abstract

Backgrounds: Recently, many teenagers have an irregular menstruation periods. Physical activity is one of the risk factor that increase the incidence of menstruation periods irregularity. High Schools students had a lot of variation in daily physical activities. This research aimed to determine the correlation between physical activity and the menstrual cycle in adolescents at Warga High School Surakarta. Methods: This research used descriptive analytical study by the cross sectional design. The subject of the research were female students of X and XI grade at Warga High School in Surakarta that taken by purposive random sampling technique. Independent variable of this research was physical activity which was measured by International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). Dependent variable of this research was menstruation cycle which was measured by menstruation cycle questionnaire. The size of the sample were 90 female students who were divided into 3 group based on their intensity of physical activities. These 3 groups were divided again based on their menstruation cycle. The collected data were analysed with Chi Square formula and Coeffisient Contiquenency (CC). Results: The result of Chi Square analysis was 0,037 as p value and the value of Q was 0.261 . Conclusions: There was correlation between physical activity and menstruation cycle in adolescents at Warga Senior High Schools Surakarta but the correlation between these two variables was less closely related. Abstract

Introduction: Erectile dysfunction or known as impotency is an inability to reach and to maintain erectile function. There are many factors that can cause erectile dysfunction, one of them is hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism in male may results to erectile dysfunction because of the reduction of testoreron total rate that plays an important role in regulating sexual function in male. This study was aimed to find out the correlation between hypothyroidism and incidence of male erectile dysfunction in Ngargoyoso sub-distrct, Karanganyar regency. Methods: This study was an analytic observational study with cross sectional method. This research performed in Ngargoyoso Sub-district, Karangayar Regency with 38 samples for each hypothyroidism state. Hypothyroidism was determined by using Zulewskis clinical score and/or WHO/ICCID diagnosis criteria to found out the enlargement of thyroid gland. Erectile dysfunction was collected with International Index of Erectile Function 5 Questionnare (IIEF-5). The data was analyzed statistically using Chi-Square. Result: Percentage of male erectile dysfunction with hypothyroidism (+) was 79% and erectile dysfunction in male with hypothyroidism (-) was 45%. Chi-square analysis test of both variables showed significant correlation with p = 0.002 (p < 0.05), the strength of correlation was low, and had positive correlation (C = 0.332). Results of Odd Ratio was OR = 4,63. Conclusions: There was an association between hypothyroidism and incidence of male erectile dysfunction. Keywords: erectile dysfunction, male, hypothyroidism

Abstract

Background: Andropause represents the symptoms and signs due to the lower rate of testosteron that happened slowly along with increasing the age. One of the symptoms is vasomotor disorder, that is called hot flashes. The presence of hot flashes can be result to insomnia in males with andropause. Number of andropauses prevalence which tend to high in some area in Indonesia can indicate the amount of adult men that suffer from insomnia. This research aim to prove that there is a correlation between andropause and insomnia, especially at Subdistrict Jebres Surakarta. Method: This analytic qualitative observational study uses cross-sectional method was held in Subdistrict Jebres Surakarta. Subjects in this study are males with inclusion and exclusion criterias. Sixty males (above 40 years old) were chosen to participate in this study by purposive random sampling (30 males with andropause and 30 males without andropause). Data were collected through self-administered questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed using Chi Square (X2) test and Contingency Coefficient (C) test. Result: The data analysis, with ? = 0.05, shows p = 0.003 which means p < 0.05 and C = 0.36 or 36 %. Conclusion: There is a correlation between andropause and insomnia in males at Subdistrict Jebres Surakarta (p < 0.05, C = 0.36), where the number of insomnias prevalence is bigger at andropauses group. Abstract

Background: Since January 2015, government has enacted the National Health Insurance System (SJKN) held by Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) to achive universal health coverage. Puskesmas as primary public health service has an important role to improve customer satisfaction by providing the best quality of health services. Customer satisfaction is one of the main indicators to measure the quality of health service. This research aims to analyze the relationship between the of service and satisfaction of Social Health Insurance Customers at public health care in term of five quality service dimension (tangible, responsiveness, assurance, reliability and empathy) . Methods:This research was a observational analitic study with cross-sectional design, conducted at Puskesmas Kebakkramat I Karanganyar District. Sampling technique used in this research is random sampling technique. The samples were customers of BPJS in Puskesmas Kebakkramat I Karanganyar District that meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria of at least 93 respondents. In this research, respondents filled out some questionnaire of patient satisfaction and quality of health service, and then the data were analyzed with Kendall's tau_b correlation test. Results:The result of Kendall's tau_b correlation test showed a significant relationship between health service quality and satisfaction of BPJS customers at PuskesmasKebakkramat I Karanganyar District with p ?0.000. Conclusions:From this research, researcher conclude that there is a relation between health service quality and satisfaction of BPJS customer at Puskesmas Kebakkramat IKaranganyar District. Abstract

Background: Asthma is a chronic airway inflammatory disease that seriously impact on morbidity and mortality in the world. Most of the patients were taking medication prescribed for inhalation using a tool, not using inhalation devices correctly, approximately 90% of patients showed a wrong way to use MDI.For that, need to be investigated the factors associated with the occurrence of errors how to use MDI.This study aimed to analyze the relationship between age, education level and level of knowledge on how to use MDI in asthma patients. Methods: This analytic study was observational with cross-sectional approach. A sample of 40 study subjects was selected by purposive sampling from out asthma patients visiting the Pulmonary Clinics, RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. The data were collected by interview using suggested checklist and a set of questionnaire. The data was analyszed using chi-square and multiple logistic regression model on SPSS version 17 for Windows. Results: Patients aged ? 65 years had a good way of using MDI 4/10 times lower than patients aged <65 years (OR = 0.43; CI 95% 0. 0.07 to 2.89; p = 0.388). Patients with high education level have a good way of using MDI 2 times higher than patients with low education level (OR = 1.68; CI 95% 0.32 to 8.82; p = 0.539). Patients with a high level of knowledge of the importance of how to use the correct MDI had a good way of using MDI 14 times higher than patients with low levels of knowledge (OR = 13.58; CI 95% 2.37 to 77.76; p = 0.003).This estimate has controlled for the effects of long use of MDI as a confounding variable. Conclusions: There is a statistically significant association between knowledge on how to use MDI. There are also the association between age and education level on how to use MDI in asthma patients even though the data obtained was not statistically significant. This conclusion is drawn after controlling for the effects of long use of MDI as a confounding variable. Keywords: Asthma, how to use MDI, age, education, knowledge

Abstract

Background: Tobacco has high level of consumption in Indonesia and also has impact to the health and social-economic factors. Nearly all smokers in Indonesia considered hat smoking is a necessity. Smoking habits are influenced by some factors, some of them are theknowledge of smoking and smoking motivation. This study aims to determine the correlation between knowledge of smoking and smoking motivation with the number of cigarettes consumed. Methods: This study was an observational study with cross sectional analysis. A total of 75 subjects were selected by simple random sampling. Samples were first grade students of Veteran University Sukoharjo who smoke. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires consist of knowledge of smoking and smoking motivation to respondents. Data was analyzed by using multiple linear regressionmodel. Results: This study showed the value of the Pearson correlation r = -0.574, p = 0.000, which means there was a negative correlation that statistically significant between the knowledge of smoking and number of cigarettes consumed, and r = 0.872, p = 0.000, which means there was a positive correlation that statistically significant between smoking motivation and number of cigarettes consumed. Multiple linear regression test showed the results of Adjusted R-square value 0.783 which means the influence of knowledge of smoking and smoking motivation to the number of cigarettes consumedwere 78.3 %, while the remaining 21.7 % came from other factors. Conclusions: There was a significant correlation between knowledge of smoking and smoking motivation with the number of cigarettes consumed. Abstract

Introduction: Prevalence of dysmenorrhea in SMAN 1 Gondangrejo Karanganyar is 88%. One cause of dysmenorrhea is due to elevated levels of prostaglandin because lower consumption of omega-3 fatty acids. This study aims to know the relationship between consumption of foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids and the incidence of dysmenorrhea among the students of SMAN 1 Gondangrejo Karanganyar. Methods: This study was an analytical observational study with cross-sectional approach. 125 subjects of this study were chosen by simple random sampling from students in SMAN 1 Gondangrejo Karanganyar. Each subject was measured consumption of omega-3 with Semiquantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQFFQ) consumption omega-3 fatty acids and dysmenorrhea with questionnaire modified from Menstrual Symptom Questionnaire (MSQ). The data of this study then analyzed by using chi-square test to determine the relationship between consumption of foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids and dysmenorrhea. Results: 125 students were observed and obtained 79,2% of them consume adequate amounts of omega-3 fatty acids (?1.1 g/day) and 28% experienced dysmenorrhea. The results of data analysis using chi-square test was obtained p = 0.001 that shows there is a significant or meaningful relationship between consumption of foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids and dysmenorrhea. Conclusions: There is a significant relationship between omega-3 fatty acids and dysmenorrhea. Keywords: Omega-3 fatty acids, Dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

Background: Smoking has dangerous effect on health, not only for active smoker, but also for passive smoker. One negative effect of cigarette smoke for pregnant women and fetuses is lower than normal fetal weight. Smoking has worse effect, because it affects the next development of the fetus / infant. This study aims to know the correlation between smoking environments to pregnant women exposed to cigarette smoke to the low birth weight baby case in Surakarta. Methods: The research was conducted in September to October 2014 at RSUD Dr. Moewardi and RSUD Ngipang, Surakarta. This is an observational analytic research with cross sectional design. A Sampling study was done in incidental sampling with the inclusion criteria : 1). Low Birth Weight Baby (LBWB) and non-LBWB 2). alive infant 3.) single fetus 4). Primigravida. Respondent filled in the biographical data sheet and informed consent forms as a sign of approval and filled out questionnaire of passive smokers. A total of 35 data was obtained and analyzed using bivariat Chi-Square test analysis. Results: Pregnant women with heavy smokers environment have LBWB risk 21 667 times higher than pregnant women with light smoker environment (OR=21.667). Pregnant women with medium smokers environment have LBWB risk 3.25 times higher than pregnant women with light smoker environment (OR=3.250). Conclusions: There is a significant relationship between pregnant women who are exposed to cigarette smoke on smoker environment and low birth weight baby case. Pregnant women who were medium and heavy passive smokers have a greater risk than a light passive smoker Keywords: Low birth weight, pregnant women, passive smoker.
