Abstract

Introduction: This research aims to explore the factors influencing the implementation of GLAM in academic libraries considering technological, organizational and environmental factors. Method: We used a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modelling. 91 university librarians in Indonesia responded to the distributed questionnaires. Data analysis: The data was analysed using Exploratory Factor Analysis. Results: The most influential factor is technology at 31.31%, obtained from observations to 14 variables. The second influencing factor is organization with a calculation result of 27.10% obtained from the 10 observed variables. The third influencing factor is environment, with a calculation result of 17.3% based on 3 observed variables. The innovation diffusion in the implementation of GLAM in university libraries as an effort to preserve culture however is not yet ready from a technological and organizational perspective. It is noted that environment is the factor with the least influence. Conclusion: This research uses three factors, namely technology, organization and environment as a theoretical basis for answering problems. Based on the research results, technology is the most influential dominant factor in implementing the GLAM in university libraries. Organization is the second influencing factor, while environment is the third factor.

Abstract

Introduction. Using references in a study as a source of information when conducting research is important. The purpose of this research is to determine the main references used by bibliometric researchers. Research methods. Data gathered from the Scopus database, utilizing Researcher discovery tool by using “bibliometric” as a keyword from 2017-2023, utilizing the bibliometric method with the Reference Publication Year Spectroscopy (RPYS). The stages included data collection, data processing, and data analysis. Data analysis. CRExplorer software was used to import 270 research documents, which was done utilizing all import methodologies including Rstudio biblioshiny software. Results and Discussion. The findings revealed that researchers in Indonesia on bibliometric issue research used references from the European Continent, and East Asia, based on straight count and complete count main reference calculations or references in conducting research. The State University of Surabaya has made the most contributions to bibliometric research in Indonesia, while the Journal of Physics: Conferences Series contains the most publications by Indonesian scholars. Conclusions and recommendations. The references utilised by bibliometric researchers range from 1883 to 2023. To discover references or create citations for bibliometric study, the researchers refer to the main source, which are the researchers of that area.

Abstract

Introduction. Libraries, as centers of intellectual resources and information, have the potential to become environments that support collaborative learning. This research aims to describe the role of the school libraries in supporting collaborative learning. Data collection methods. This study was qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research was conducted in three high school libraries in South Kalimantan Province, namely: School A, School B, and School C. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. The collected data were subsequently analyzed using the interactive model by Miles and Huberman. Results and Discussion. School libraries currently contribute to collaborative learning by providing spaces and facilities for group work and activities. However, it showed the limited quantity of resources, including computers and internet bandwidth so no all students can leverage optimally. The space is equivalent to a classroom, however, it is inadequate for a larger audience. Conclusion and suggestions. The role of the school libraries in this research has not been optimal in facilitating and supporting collaborative learning in the schools. The library can make plans to address this gradually, particularly in terms of preparing supporting infrastructure.
