Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT Terrorism posed a real threat to regional resilience of the West Java region. One of the challenges in addressing terrorism was that deradicalization efforts often fall short, particularly during the assessment phase. This research aimed to sheded light on the role of intelligence in the assessment of deradicalization programs for convicted and ex-convicted terrorists. The study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach. Researchers classified terrorism convicts and ex-convicts based on their responses to deradicalization programs, to identified priorities for intelligence support in the assessment process. Primary data in the form of notes from observations and interviews with eleven former terrorism convicts in West Java was used, along with secondary data from previous research and online news sources. This was the first study on intelligence assessment in the context of deradicalization efforts and was therefore expected to provided valuable insights in this area. The research findings indicated that the West Java region was particularly vulnerable to terrorism, with a concerning number of recidivism cases. Based on the classification of terrorist convicts and ex-convicts in this study, there were two categories of individuals who required more in-depth assessment, supported by intelligence information. Intelligence could help identified opportunities for deradicalization and carried out thorough assessments that would otherwise be difficult to obtained. Proper assessment was crucial for effective deradicalization and reducing the likelihood of terrorist recidivism. This wouldl ultimately increase regional resilience against the threat of terrorism.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis article raises problems that are being experienced and felt directly by Indonesia at this time. Indonesian people have to survive amidst air pollution, which is mostly caused by forest and land fires. These forest and land fires then have an impact that is also detrimental to various other sectors. Forests have various natural resources that contain a lot of energy and other potential that can be used in various forms of life. This impact can then gradually weaken the state of energy security in Indonesia. In order to overcome the negative impacts of air pollution caused by the spread of land and forests, it is important to understand that this is not just the task of "policy makers" but is a collective task to create a balance between human energy needs and the preservation of forests and land which play a role in maintaining air quality and a healthy climate and blue skies again.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Bligon goats, as one of the local livestock resources, had significant potential to improved the welfare of coastal communities in Bantul Regency. The aim of the research was to analyzed the contribution of the viability of the bligon goat business in realizing food resilience, livestock empowerment, and the foundations of national resilience in the coastal areas of Bantul Regency. The research was conducted in Bantul Regency at two kapanewons which represent coastal areas, namely Sanden and Srandakan. This study used an approach to economic conditions over the past year. The calculations carried out included total production, added value, the function of livestock as savings, insurances and fertilizer producers. The average age of farmers in the research location was 53 years 10 months, with an average of 13 years of farming experience and an average of 7 goats. The results of calculating the Net Benefit-Cost Ratio (B/C), Payback Period (PP), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) in calculating the financial feasibility of the Bligon goat farming business in coastal areas showed that this business was worthy of development. The development of Bligon goat cultivation could be used in efforts to alleviated poverty in the community and supported sustainable economic growth in the coastal areas of Bantul Regency. The sustainability of this economic dimension was expected to make a positive contribution to food resilience and national resilience by encouraging an increase in the number of farmers and goats.
