Abstract

This research was aimed to evaluate the content of dry matter, organic matter and crude protein of palm oil fronds as an alternative feed substitution of native grass, which was enhanced through fermentation biotechnological innovation with the addition of carbohydrate soluble.  Fermentation palm oil frond done using local microorganisms resources rumen content andLactobacillus. The experimental design used was factorial on complete randomized design 2x3 with 3 replication each treatment.   Factor A were the  source of inoculums fermentation, A1=. lactobacillus, A2= local microorganisms resources rumen content.  Factor B were the source of soluble carbohydrates where B1 = without a carbohydrates, rice B2 = e bran, B3 = tapioca starch.  Parameters measured were content of dry matter, organic matter and crude protein of palm oil fronds.  The results of this research showed that no interaction effect between the source of microorganisms with carbohydrates, and the treatment had no effect (P > 0.05) on dry matter content.  No effect Factor A for all parameters while the  factors B Influential were significantly (P < 0.01) on the content of organic matter and crude protein.  The highest crude protein content in the fermented palm oil fronds with a source of carbohydrates from rice bran (6.55%)

Abstract

This study was conducted from January to March 2013 in the Laboratory of Nutrition and Chemistry, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of the State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau and analysis of the nutrient content in Ruminant Nutrition Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Andalas University in Padang. This study aimed to determine the effect of buffalo feces with different levels of fermentation fruit oil palm fiber (SBKS) for 21 day against pH, fermentation quality, dry matter content, crude fiber, crude protein, ash and BETN. The method used in this study is completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment given is the number of buffalo feces levels (0%, 10%, 20% and 30%). The results showed that the addition of up to 30% buffalo feces fermentation SBKS gave highly significant effect (P <0.0 l) on the pH, but not significant effect (P> 0.05) increase levels of dry matter, crude protein and BETN, and declining levels of crude fiber and crude fat levels.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase oosit kerbau yang matang dalam media TCM-199 yang disuplementasi serum sapi pesisir fase berahi secara in vitro. Selanjutnya untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi embrio in vitro pada ternak kerbau dengan suplementasi serum sapi pesisir fase berahi. Oosit ternak kerbau dimatangkan dalam media TCM-199 pada inkubator Co2 5% dan masing-masing perlakuan ditambahkan serum sapi pesisir fase berahi dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda (0%, 10% dan 20%). Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah persentase oosit kerbau yang matang tanpa penambahan serum sapi pesisir fase berahi, persentase oosit yang matang dengan penambahan serum sapi pesisir fase berahi 10 % dan persentase oosit kerbau yang matang dengan penambahan serum sapi pesisir fase berahi 20 % secara in vitro. Persentase oosit kerbau yang matang dengan penambahan serum sapi pesisir fase barahi sebanyak 20% menunjukkan perbedaan yang sangat nyata (P<0.01) yaitu 70.04% bila dibandingkan dengan pematangan dengan penambahan serum sapi pesisir 10% yaitu 56.00 %  dan tanpa serum sapi pesisir fase berahi  yaitu 36.96% secara in virto. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi serum sapi pesisir fase dengan konsentrasi 20% dalam media pematangan TCM-199 nyata (P<0.01) meningkatkan tingkat maturasi oosit kerbau secara in vitro dibandingkan dengan penambahan serum sapi pesisir fase berahi 10% dan tanpa penambahan serum sapi pesisir (kontrol).   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase oosit kerbau yang matang dalam media TCM-199 yang disuplementasi serum sapi pesisir fase berahi secara in vitro. Abstract

This research aims to know the diversity of the nature of qualitative and quantitative kuantan cows age on many levels in Benai District of Kuantan Singingi regency. The number of samples was observed 88 cows kuantan which consists of 71 cows female and 17 male cows with levels 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months and 18-24 months. The parameters observed in the qualitative nature of hair and skin color is, horns shape and color away, while the nature of quantitative measurements of the body namely chest circumference, length, shoulder height, in the chest and hip height. The results showed that the qualitative nature of the cows kuantan females include the dominant hair color that is the color of tanned 35,21% white, curved Horn shape up and short horns and small alike 29.5% and the dominant leg color is 68% white and male cow whereas in kuantan, the dominant hair color that is the color of tanned 35,30% white, horned 53% not horned and short small 29% , and the dominant leg color is white 76%. Quantitative trait cow kuantan females include the dominant length is age 18-24 months 96,28 ± 10.70 cm, chest circumference: 20,71 ± 12.52 cm, in the chest: 43,28 ± 0.14 cm, shoulder height: 96,57 ± 7.25 cm and a height of hips: 101,71 ± 9.94 cm and while the average body size of cow kuantan males include the dominant length is aged 6-12 months 87 ± 6.05 cm, chest circumference of 6-12 months ± 16,52 112,75 cm chest, in 12-18 months 41,33 ± 1.53 cm shoulder height, age 18-24 months orders of 4.16 ± 91,67 cm high hip and age 12-18 months of 6.08 ± 101 cm.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was conducted with the aim to know the quantitative performance of post-wean PO cattle in SPR Maju Sejahtera Tanjungsari District, South Lampung Regency. The observation was conducted on PO cattle in each group member. The sample of observation was determined by purposive sampling. The survey method used in this study was conducted from October to November 2017. The observed variables were quantitative performance (body length, height, chest circumference, and body weight) PO cattle in age group P1 (> 12 - 24 months) and P2 (> 24-36 months). The result of the observation was analyzed by descriptive method. The results showed that the average quantitative performance of PO Cows age group P1 (12-24 months) ie body length 115,00 ± 7.45 cm, height 119.70 ± 8.75 cm, chest circumference 141.19 ± 5.62 cm, and body weight 177,66 ± 21,39 kg. Average quantitative performance PO cows age group P2 (24 - 36 months) ie body length 139.73 ± 4.33 cm, height 128.32 ± 7.19 cm, chest circumference 154.21 ± 10.43 cm, and body weight 258,16 ± 29,91 kg. Keywords      : PO cattle, Quantitative Performance, Sentra Peternakan Rakyat

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penamban cairan oviduct terhadap kualitas spermatozoa cauda epididimis sapi peranakan simmental sesudah ekuilibrasi pada suhu 5°C meliputi  persentase hidup, motilitas dan abnormalitas. Cauda epididymis sapi peranakan simmental diperoleh dari Rumah Potong Hewan Kota Solok dengan umur berkisar 3-4 tahun yang dikoleksi menggunakan metode slicing dan dievaluasi secara mikroskopis. Semen diberi perlakuan cairan oviduct P1 (0%), P2 (10%)  dan P3 (20%) dengan waktu ekuilibrasi 4 jam. Setelah diekuilibrasi, dilakukan evaluasi persentase hidup, motilitas dan abnormalitas spermatozoa. Hasil penelitian persentase hidup spermatozoa pada masing-masing perlakuan adalah P1 (60,16±2,71%), P2 (78,83±6,83%) dan P3 (71,33±13,42%). Motilitas spermatozoa masing-masing  perlakuan P1 (58,33±3,38%), P2 (72,25±9,11%),  dan P3 (67,25±9,47%). Abnormalitas spermatozoa pada masing-masing perlakuan adalah P1 (11,91±0,91%), P2 (11±1,26%) dan P3 (11,66±0,93%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan cairan oviduct 10% berpengaruh nyata (P<0,01) terhadap persentase hidup dan motilitas spermatozoa cauda epididimis sapi peranakan Simmental.

Abstract

This research is the first step, with aims to determine the production and reproduction ability of Crossbreding between male native chicken with female Isa brown strain leghorn, to be the parent in the next stage of research . This study used  3 male native chicken 12 -24 months of age. and  and 28 females of Leghorn chicken 14 month of ege,  with body weight 1100-1200 gram, crossbreding using artificial Insemination methode, semen domestic chicken dilution rate using physiological NaCl,  ratio sperm dilution 1 : 4. They were put in grower flocks with density of one birds per cage. Feeds during experiment were given in phases, starter Feeds  (Protein 21% and Energy 3000 kcal/kg), for layer (Protein 17% and Energy 2900 kcal/kg). Drinking water during experiment were given adlibitum. The result of the study illustrate crossbreeding between male native chicken and female leghorn chiken Isa Brown strain is  egg weight: 51.50-54.17 gram, egg index: 0.76 to 0.79%., Hatching weight: 39.34-39,39 grams, egg fertility 65,70-78,00%, hatchability 76.83-78.75%. In conclusion: egg weight of 52.42 eggs, egg index 0.78, eggs fertility 74.43%. hatchability 77,93%, and F1 body weight of 1 days of ege :  39.37 gram, and heritability DOC weight 0.43

Abstract

Ampas tebu merupakan Iimbah pabrik gula yang banyak ditemukan dan dapat mencemari lingkungan apabila tidak dimanfaatkan. Saat ini belum banyak peternak menggunakan ampas tebu tersebut untuk bahan pakan ternak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui mengetahui pengaruh proses ensilase dan penambahan biomas Indigofera terhadap fraksi serat tepung ampas tebu. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penambahan biomasa Indigofera belum mampu menurunkan kandungan neutral detergent fibre (NDF), acid detergent fibre (ADF), dan Acid detergent lignin (ADL) tepung silase ampas tebu.

Abstract

Pakan merupakan salah satu faktor yang penting dalam usaha peternakan. Eceng gondok dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu pakan alternatif dengan cara fermentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama fermentasi terhadap kualitas fisik dan nutrisi eceng gondok. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Mei 2016 di Laboratorium Agrostologi, Industri Pakan dan Ilmu Tanah serta Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Kimia Fakultas Pertanian dan Peternakan Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini adalah lama fermentasi A = 7 hari, B = 14 hari dan C = 21 hari. Parameter yang diamati berupa fisik (pH, warna, aroma, tekstur dan jamur) dan nutrisi (protein kasar dan serat kasar). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa lama fermentasi memberikan pengaruh dalam meningkatkan kualitas pH, warna, aroma dan protein kasar. tetapi tidak dapat meningkatkan tekstur, dan menurunkan serat kasar. Disimpulkan bahwa fermentasi sampai 41 hari sudah mampu meningkatkan protein kasar dan belum mampu menurunkan serat kasar.

Abstract

 Meat protein hydrolyzate can be used as an ingredient in making instant cream soup. The application of mutton protein hydrolyzate as an ingredient in making cream soup has never been done. The purpose of this study was to develop instant cream soup products from goat meat hydrolyzate as a functional food product prototype, and to know the characterization of instant cream soup in terms of its physical and chemical properties. This research is an experiment with a completely randomized design, with replications 3 times. The treatment is the addition of goat meat protein hydrolyzate which consists of 6 levels, namely, 0%, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8% 1.0% and commercial cream soup as a comparison. Data on physical properties and chemical composition were analyzed statistically by diversity analysis. The results showed that the addition of goat meat protein hydrolyzate at different concentrations was able to increase bulk density and pH value and reduce the water binding capacity of instant cream soup produced. The addition of goat meat protein hydrolyzate at different concentrations increases the water content and protein content, decreases the carbohydrate content of instant cream soup, but does not affect the ash content and fat content. It can be concluded that the addition of goat meat hydrolyzate to 1% produces instant cream soup with the same pH value and water binding capacity as commercial cream soup products and produces higher protein content than commercial products.
