Abstract

Budidaya ikan lele termasuk salah satu jenis usaha yang sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan karena Permintaan pasar yang tinggi, kondisi lingkungan yang mendukung serta memiliki daya adaptasi yang tinggi terhadap pakan lokal alternatif yang  banyak tersedia. Kelompok petugas kebersihan Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu ini mempunyai peluang yang cukup besar untuk terlibat dalam pemanfaatan limbah sayuran sebagai pakan ternak dalam upaya penguatan ekonomi di masa pandemic covid 19, beberapa diantara anggota kelompok pernah memiliki usaha sampingan beternak ikan lele namun harus gulung tikar dikarenakan harga pakan yang terus meningkat. Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan mengatasi permasalahan ekonomi dan pengolahan limbah, memanfaatkan limbah sayuran pasar sebagai bahan pakan ternak lele yang murah dan ramah lingkungan merupakan solusi yang tepat untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini dapat mendorong Kelompok Petugas Kebersihan SMAN 4 Kota Bengkulu yang tangguh dan mandiri karena dalam usaha dilengkapi dengan teknologi pemanfaatan limbah sayuran, serta manajemen usaha yang baik. Bentuk kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan adalah pelatihan pembuatan pelet ikan lele berbahan limbah sayuran pasar; pelatihan penyusunan ransum ternak lele; pembuatan demplot dilokasi yang sudah disiapkan oleh kelompok, pelatihan manajemen kolam. Adapun indikator dari kegiatan ini adalah Terlaksananya kegiatan PKM secara lancar, diaplikasikannya teknologi pembuatan pellet ikan lele, teknologi penyusunan ransum ternak lele, banyaknya anggota yang mengikuti kegiatan, meningkatnya motivasi berwirausaha serta dihasilkanya pellet ikan lele yang memiliki kualitas nutrisi yang baik.Keyword : Limbah Sayuran Pasar, Pelet Ikan Lele

Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the effect of S, P minerals and cassava leaves supplementation on utilization of ammoniated palm oil leaves in rumen sheep. The research used randomized block design with five rations as treatments and four groups as replication. The treatments were A= grass as control; B= ammoniated palm oil leaves; C= ammoniated palm oil leaves + 0.4% S and 0.27% P; D= ammoniated palm oil leaves + 5% cassava leaves; and E= ammoniated palm oil leaves +y 0.4% S, 0.27% P and 5% cassava leaves. The parameters measured were dry matter intake and digestibility of dry matter and fiber fraction (NDF, ADF, cellulose, and hemicelluloses). Dietary treatments had not significant effect on dry matter intake but significantly increased dry matter and fiber fraction digestibility, especially ADF. Diet E indicated the highest digestibility which supplied the entire nutrient required to growth and optimize activities of rumen microbes.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama penyimpanan terhadap produksi VFA Total, pH dan NH3 pada pakan wafer limbah sayuran. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan A = Penyimpanan 0 hari, B = Penyimpanan 7 Hari, C = Penyimpanan 14 Hari, D = Penyimpanan 21 Hari. Parameter yang diamati adalah pH, NH3 dan VFA Total. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pH dan VFA Total berpengaruh sangat nyata, namun NH3  tidak berpengaruh nyata. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini lama penyimpanan pakan wafer limbah sayuran berpengaruh terhadap pH cairan rumen dan VFA Total. Namun tidak berpengaruh pada NH3. Lama penyimpanan yang terbaik pada hari ke 14. Konsentrasi pH, VFA Total dan NH3 berada pada kondisi optimal untuk pertumbuhan aktivitas mikroba.Kata kunci : Lama penyimpanan, pH, NH3 dan VFA TotalEffect of Storage Duration on In-vitro Total VFA and NH3 Production of Vegetable Waste as Wafer Feed ABSTRACT. This study aims to determine the effect of storage duration on total VFA and NH3 production of vegetable waste as wafer feed. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. Treatment A = duration-storage 0 days, B = duration-storage 7 Days, C = duration-storage 14 Days, D = duration-storage 21 Days. This study was observed pH, NH3, and a total of VFA. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA). From the results of the study, it is shown that there are significant differences in the pH of the rumen (P<0.05); the pH value of rumen fluid is still under normal circumstances (6,86-8,91). The duration of storage of the vegetable waste feed had a significant effect on total VFA (P<0.05). Total VFA production ranges from 91.65 – 115.15 mM, which is still the criteria for the optimum level of VFA production. However, in this study, the storage duration of vegetable waste wafer feed had no significant effect on NH3. The NH3 average value of the study was 8.46-9.90 mM, which is still in the optimum condition for microbial protein synthesis. The result implies 14 days of duration storage is the best treatment. The concentration of pH, Total VFA, and NH3 were at the optimal conditions for the growth of microbial activity.

Abstract

The research was conducted in Sumber Arum Village, Seluma Regency from April to August 2018. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of feed material (solid and fermented palm fronds) on female cows on the birth weight of calf Bali cattle. The material of the research was 7 months old pregnant cattles as many as 10 heads aged 2-4 years with initial Body Condition Score (BCS) of 3. Observations was conducted for 3 months with 1 month preliminary. The treatments used are: introductory treatment is forage 10% (palm fronds and leaves 12.5 kg/head/day, field grass 12.5 kg/head/day) + fermented solid 2 kg/head/day while the existing treatment is only given field grass as much as 10% of body weight + concentrate 2 kg/head/day. Each treatment consisted of 5 animals as replicates. The results of the analysis with the t test concluded that calf body weight at birth was not significantly different (P>0.05) between treatments.

Abstract

This research was aimed to evaluate the content of dry matter, organic matter and crude protein of palm oil fronds as an alternative feed substitution of native grass, which was enhanced through fermentation biotechnological innovation with the addition of carbohydrate soluble.  Fermentation palm oil frond done using local microorganisms resources rumen content andLactobacillus. The experimental design used was factorial on complete randomized design 2x3 with 3 replication each treatment.   Factor A were the  source of inoculums fermentation, A1=. lactobacillus, A2= local microorganisms resources rumen content.  Factor B were the source of soluble carbohydrates where B1 = without a carbohydrates, rice B2 = e bran, B3 = tapioca starch.  Parameters measured were content of dry matter, organic matter and crude protein of palm oil fronds.  The results of this research showed that no interaction effect between the source of microorganisms with carbohydrates, and the treatment had no effect (P > 0.05) on dry matter content.  No effect Factor A for all parameters while the  factors B Influential were significantly (P < 0.01) on the content of organic matter and crude protein.  The highest crude protein content in the fermented palm oil fronds with a source of carbohydrates from rice bran (6.55%)

Abstract

Palm fronds are one of by-product plantation that ware potential used as animal feed. But the weaknesses were low digestibility and low nutrition. The processing of palm fronds with fermentation technology which combined with the addition of jengkol peel was one of method to improving the nutrition quality. The purpose of this study was to measure the digestibility and characteristics of rumen fluid in fermented palm oil fronds supplemented with jengkol peel powder. This study was designed in completely randomized with four treatments supplementation of jengkol peel powder at 0, 2, 4, and 6% and four groups as replications. Parameters analyzed were pH value, NH3 concentration, total VFA production, dry matter and organic matter digestibility. The data were analyzed using ANOVA and different among treatments means examined by Duncan Multiple Range Test. The result showed that the addition of jengkol peel powder at 2-6% to fermented palm fronds decreased (P<0.05) in-vitro dry matter and organic matter digestibility, rumen pH value, VFA Production and NH3 concentration. From this study it can be concluded that supplementation of jengkol peel powder on fermented oil palm fronds can reduce the digestibility of dry matter and organic matter in vitro, affecting the characteristics of rumen fluid (pH, VFA and NH3), but is still at optimal conditions for normal fermentation in rumen.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain the level of supplementation of cassava leaves as a source of branched chain amino acids in improving nutrients digestibility of ammoniation palm leaf, and characteristics of rumen fluid ( in-vitro). The experiment was designed by using randomized block design with 6 treatments of supplementation of cassava leaf (A = 0% as control, B = 5%, C = 10%, D = 15%, E = 20% and F = 25% of dry matter) with 4 replications. Parameters were: 1) Digestibility of nutrients (dry matter, organic matter, crude protein) 2) Digestibility of fiber fractions (NDF, ADF, cellulose and hemicellulose) and 3) Characteristics of rumen fluid (pH, NH3, and VFA) by in- vitro. The results showed cassava leaves supplementation significantly (P <0.05) increased the in-vitro digestibility of palm leaves ammoniation. The highest dry matter digestibility obtained at cassava leaf 5% (24.09%) in comparing controls (45.49% vs. 56.45%), and ADF digestibility increased by 36.91% compared to controls (37.25% vs. 51.00%). Cassava leaves maintained rumen fluid characteristics for microbial rumen growth and activities. It concluded, the level of supplementation cassava leaves as a source of the best branched chain amino acids in palm leaf ammoniation was 5%.

Abstract

This research was designed to study about effects of supplementation jengkol (Archidendron jiringa) peel powder on VFA molar proportion, production of methane, and hydrogen balance in vitro. The experiment used randomized block design with 4 treatments (0%, 2%, 4%, 6%) and 4 replications. The research observed of VFA molar proportion, production of methane, and hydrogen balance. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and the Duncan Multiple Range Test examined the differences among treatment means. The results showed that the supplementation of jengkol (A. jiringa) peel powder until 6% did not affect (P>0.05) VFA molar proportion but the treatment without supplementation of jengkol (A. jiringa) peel powder had the highest (P<0.05) methane and H2 production. It was concluded that the supplementation of jengkol (A. jiringa) peel powder until 6% decreased methane and hydrogen production but did not affect on VFA molar proportion.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pemanfaatan pelepah sawit sebagai sumber hijauan dalam ransum sapi potong. Pelepah sawit yang telah diamoniasi digunakan sebagai pengganti 100% rumput dengan suplementasi nutrient precursor mikroba rumen yaitu daun ubi kayu, mineral Sulfur dan Fosfor Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 5 ransum perlakuan dan 4 kelompok sapi sebagai ulangan. Sebagai perlakuan adalah ransum A= yaitu rumput lapangan, sebagai kontrol, B = pelepah sawit amoniasi , C= pelepah sawit amoniasi + suplementasi 5% daun ubi kayu, D = pelepah sawit amoniasi + suplementasi 0,4% mineral S dan 0,27% mineral P, dan E= pelepah sawit amoniasi + suplementasi mineral S,P dan daun ubi kayu. Parameter yang diukur adalah 1) Konsumsi bahan kering, dan 2) Pertambahan bobot badan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tidak berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi bahan kering, namun berpengaruh terhadap pertambahan bobot badan. Pertambahan bobot badan terendah ditemukan pada ransum pelepah sawit amoniasi tanpa suplementasi (perlakuan B) namun pertambahan bobot badan pada ransum perlakuan C, D dan E hampir sama dengan perlakuan A yang menggunakan rumput. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pelepah sawit amoniasi dengan suplementasi daun ubi kayu dan mineral S, dan P dapat menggantikan 100% rumput dalam ransum ternak sapi dan memberikan performan yang sama dengan ransum kontrol (rumput)
