Abstract

Speaking skills and role-playing learning methods are variables used to determine their impact on student achievement. Students' learning achievement is expected to be known through discussion of novel subject matter where students can interpret their knowledge by speaking and interacting with the novel's contents through role-playing. The population of this study was students of VIII-C SMP Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Medan with a total of 24 research samples. One group pretest-posttest design was used to test the research hypothesis about the effect of the role-playing learning method on student achievement. On the other hand, this study also interprets the results of observations, questionnaires, and interviews as primary data to strengthen the analysis of the hypothesis testing obtained. In the end, this research shows that there are 27.8% of students do not master speaking skills with a total of 73.6% of students whose speaking skills need to be improved and only 26.4% of students who have speaking skills. The results of the study also illustrate that appearing in public places, asking questions when studying in class, and discussing lesson topics while studying in class are the 3 main factors that need to be optimized by students. The hypothesis test shows the value of sig > which means accepting H0 that there is no difference in the students' pretest and posttest scores so that the role-playing learning method has not had a different effect on student achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of technology-based learning models through classroom media for elementary/MI children. This study uses a qualitative approach because it aims to provide information, understanding and description of the content and quality of the content that occurs as the target or object of research. The term description is research that is intended to make a description of the events that took place. Data is collected and analyzed and abstracted, and theories will emerge that will show the results of qualitative research findings. Then the results of this journal research show that: First, the development of technology-based learning models is an effort made to develop learning that is in accordance with the demands of an increasingly modern era and full of advanced technology. Second, the use of classroom media on Google is an alternative to continue to carry out learning during this pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the Hybrid learning model at SD Negeri 163080 Tebing Tinggi during the Covid-19 pandemic.  Various obstacles in implementing distance education require an appropriate learning model, including a Hybrid learning model. To improve students' understanding of the social science subject, done with class action research refers to the model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which consists of four components, namely: 1) planning, 2) implementation of the action, 3) observation, 4) reflection. A total number of 30 respondents were used as the samples determined based on qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The results showed there was improvement of student learning outcomes characterized by increased every cycle, namely pre-cycle (60%), the first cycle (76,67 %), cycle II (90 %) and complete learn the clasical equal to 90  %. This conclution is the application of problem solving method has real effect toward learning outcomes of students grade V at SD Negeri 163080 Tebing Tinggi in academic year on 2021/2022.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of developing, knowing the feasibility, and knowing the effectiveness of the inquiry-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) using 3D Pageflip Professional on Theme 8 My Living Area Class IV SDN 173538 Tampubolon Balige. The type of research used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE research model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data collection techniques in this study are test and non-test techniques. From the results of the validation carried out by material experts, design experts, and education practitioners, it shows that the inquiry-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) using the professional 3D Pageflip developed is valid. The average percentage of the results of material validation shows 95% in the very feasible category, the results of design validation show 94.4% in the very feasible category, and validation by education practitioners shows 96% in the very feasible category. From the results of the effectiveness test on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 173538 Tampubolon Balige at the time of pre-test and post-test, there was an increase. The average pre-test score was 68.7%, while the post-test average was 91.5%. This shows that the students' post-test scores are higher than the pre-test scores.

Abstract

Many research studied that realistic mathematics education (RME) can be an alternative solution to students’ difficulties in learning mathematics. Various forms of technology additionally are further employed to support students' mathematical achievements. However, research on the implementation of virtual learning environments (VLE) with the RME approach is still lacking. The main goals of this research were to create an instructional process of virtual learning environments on realistic mathematics education to improve seventh graders' mathematical modeling abilities and to examine the effect of designs on mathematical modeling ability. Theory of realistic mathematics education and virtual learning environment literature were integrated. The design model developed was verified by experts to be tested. The pre-test / post-test test method was carried out to see the effectiveness of the design. The sixty-seventh graders from a secondary school in North Sumatera were selected as samples. The instructional process developed consists of four stages, namely (1) purposing contextual problems, (2) defining situations from contextual problems, (3) solving problems individually or in groups, and (4) reviewing and comparing solutions. The developed virtual learning environment consists of 5 components, namely (1) users management, (2) content and activities management, (3) resources management, (4) visualization and communication management, and (5) evaluation and assessment management. The mathematical modeling ability concerning experimental group students is significantly higher after being taught through a realistic mathematics education instructional process via a virtual learning environment. Comparison of the experimental group with the control group also showed the same results.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how the use of technology affects the learning outcomes of Class III students at St. Petrus Private Elementary School Medan. This study's participants were all third-graders at Medan's St. Petrus Private Elementary School, which had three classes with 100 students each. Class IIIC was chosen as a sample of 30 students for this study, and the method of sample collection that was used was simple random sampling. A survey-type quantitative approach is utilized in this study. to use the product moment correlation t test to test the hypothesis. According to the findings, the use of gadgets received an average score of 80.17 in the high category, while learning outcomes received an average score of 74 in the lower category. This is supported by the results of the hypothesis t test. If the value of t_count > t_table is 6.809 > 1.697, then Ha is accepted, indicating that third-grade students at St. Petrus Private Elementary School in Medan benefit significantly from the use of technology.

Abstract

The ability of students in reading literacy is still low, this is indicated by the decline in student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of literacy culture on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students in learning Indonesian. The target of this research is the students of SDN 1 Paciran class V which is divided into two classes, totaling 28 students in class VA and 28 students in class VB. Using quantitative research methods using experimental research design, namely pre-experimental design, the research design used was control-group design.  Prestest Posttest Control Group Design using non-parametric data analysis techniques. In the experimental class, students were given treatment or treatment for reading literacy culture for 15 minutes before learning began, and for the control class they did not give any treatment. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence on student learning outcomes in learning Indonesian between the experimental class and the control class, which is seen from the difference in the average value of the experimental classwhich is higher than the control class.
