Abstract

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students in developing critical thinking skills and problem solving and the lack of student motivation to develop science and link chemistry with other science. This research is a quantitative research. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of STEM-based modules on learning outcomes and student motivation. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The data collection method used was a multiple choice test to measure learning outcomes and a questionnaire to analyze learning motivation. The results showed that the use of STEM-based modules had an effect on student learning outcomes and learning motivation in selected subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of applying ornamental flora using collage technique using origami paper media for students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Medan and also to find out the results of applying decorative collage techniques using origami paper media for students at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Medan. This study applies a collage technique using origami paper materials, especially in decorative materials. The population of this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Medan, totaling 170 students, and a sample of 30 students with collage decorative works determined by the cluster sampling technique (Area Sampling). The indicators for the assessment of the work are the ability to produce attractive colors, neatness and also the composition of the collage decorative works. Data collection techniques used literature study, observation, documentation and interviews. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative. The results of this study indicate that the quality of the results achieved by students in the good category with an average value of 74.99.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Chase method and Team Base Project-based learning model on learning outcomes in the basic physics and chemistry concepts course of PGSD FIP UNIMED students. The research method used is a quantitative research method with a type of correlation research. The research population is all PGSD FIP UNIMED students in the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The sample taken was 42 students using purposive sampling data collection techniques. The data in this study were obtained through a learning outcomes test. The test results used have been tested for validity and reliability. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is correlation. From the calculation results obtained t count is 56.414, then the result is compared with t table at a significance level of 5% which is 2.018. This shows that t count > t table which means that there is an influence of the Chase method and Team Base Project-based learning model on learning outcomes in the basic physics and chemistry concepts course of PGSD FIP UNIMED students. Meanwhile, the use of the Chase method and Team Base Project-based learning model contributed 98.8% to learning outcomes in the basic concepts of physics and chemistry courses of  PGSD FIP UNIMED students, while the remaining 1.2% was influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to speak English in students in Medan. In this study, research data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation methods. The data sources for this study were students at SMA Negeri 6 Medan in class XI MIA2. By applying the Student Team Achievement Division learning model and using dialogue media. the research instrument is test, observation sheet, interview (Classroom Acton Research) . This study uses a qualitative and quantitative design. The research data analysis technique uses three steps, namely 1. Data reduction, 2. Data presentation, 3. Making conclusions. Findings from data analysis, Before applying the Studnet Team Achievement Division (STAD) learning model, there were 30 students (96%) who did not complete with a score of 44.46-66.67. and 6 (4%) students 78.78 - 88.89 completed with grades. And after applying the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) learning model, in the first cycle there were 35 students (99%) who scored 78.78. 88.89 this value has exceeded the KKM score of 75% and 1 student (1%) did not complete. There was an increase of 26.15. The conclusion is that the application of the Student Team Achievement Division learning model is very effective in improving students' speaking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of student lectures at the fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas. Components that refer to the implementation of courageous learning, factors and barriers to lectures, the value of character education and the benefits of lectures. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using a survey method conducted online. Data was obtained through filling out all questionnaires and answering questions distributed to respondents in the form of a google form. Based on the data analysis, the conclusions obtained from this research are 1. Lectures dare to be effectively used in the implementation of learning. 2. Lectures dare to be effective in the application of character education values, namely discipline, honesty, independence and responsibility.3. Online lectures are effective in applying the value of character education, namely hard work. 4. Online lectures are less effective in terms of obstacles and inhibiting factors for online lectures.5. Bold lessons are less effective in terms of the benefits of brave learning in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of student bullying on student learning outcomes in class V SD Negeri 173416 Pollung. The population of this study were all students of class V SD Negeri 173416 Pollung totaling 62 students. The sample used was 62 students to be used as samples in this study. In this study, researchers used a survey type quantitative method. To test the hypothesis using the product moment correlation t test. The results showed that student bullying had an average of 85 with sufficient category and learning outcomes had 68.72 in the less category. This is supported by the results of the t test hypothesis testing where the value of t_count > t_table is 1,714 > 1,669 then Ha is accepted, that is, there is an effect of student bullying. There is a significant relationship between student bullying and student learning outcomes on the theme of our friend's environment, sub-theme of humans and the fifth grade environment of SD Negeri 173416 Pollung, Humbang Hasundutan Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether Simalungun Traditional Dance has an effect on Children's Character Education in the Marsialop Ari Purba Art Studio. The population of this study were all children aged 9-13 years at the Marsialop Ari Purba Art Studio. The sample used in this study was purposive sampling in this case the researcher used 35 children aged 9-13 years. In this study, the researcher used a quantitative survey type method where this type of research tested the results of the study using a hypothesis technique, and the hypothesis technique chosen was the t-test hypothesis.The results of this study indicate that the traditional Simalungun Tortor Haroan Bolon dance has an average tcount of 24,843 which is greater than ttable of 1,683 in the high category and character education has an average tcount of 24,843 which is greater than ttable of 1,683 in the high category. HO accepted that there was a relationship between the traditional Simalungun Tortor Haroan Bolon dance and character education for children at the Marsialop Ari Purba art studio

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of OCB motives for HMJ FIP Unimed administrators. This research is a quantitative descriptive research that is ex post facto. The study was conducted on samples taken in total from the research population totaling 115 students of HMJ FIP Unimed management. OCB motif data collection uses a Likert scale and data analysis uses calculations that are not generalizations, but apply to research subjects. The results showed that the overall OCB motive of HMJ-HMJ administrators at FIP UNIMED was at a sufficient level. Based on the aspects of the OCB motive, it is known that the OCB motive in the prosocial aspect and the concern for the organization of HMJ FIP Unimed is of low level, while in the aspect of impression management it is at a sufficient level.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding and creativity in arts and culture subjects. By introducing the arts of eight tribes, students recognize factors such as the participation of 27 students in the city, such as participation in SDN 101769 Class V Medan Tembung. This research uses classroom action research method with two cycles. The results showed that the application of the Integrated Fine Arts Learning Model can increase understanding of traditional cultural arts in the North Sumatra region by introducing art to eight tribes carried out at SD Negeri 101769 Medantenbun City. To increase the understanding and creativity of regional traditional arts and culture, a learning model that can integrate all elements of art and culture can be used, such as, Using an integrated art learning model that has been proven to increase students' understanding of art subjects.
