Abstract

As one of the universities in Indonesia that focuses on teaching Arabic, University of Darussalam Gontor requires all its students to use the language well, especially Arabic in various scientific fields. But the problem faced is the unavailability of special textbooks for Agro-industrial Technology study programs. This research is intended to design Arabic language teaching materials based on maharatu al-qira’ah in the Agro-industrial Technology Study Program at the University of Darussalam Gontor using the Research & Development methodology. The results of this research are the Arabic textbook Maharatu al-qira’ah improves the ability of students in Arabic material, especially in reading skills.

Abstract

One of the preaching media that is becoming popular today is social media, such as Facebook, Instagram YouTube and WhatsApp. The purpose of this study was to find out how the Ponorogo community's perceptions related to the da'wah conveyed by Islamic religious leaders through social media. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data obtained through the process of interviews, observation and surveys with open questions. The interview subjects in this study were 15 people and 27 people who filled out the survey through Google Form, as additional data. The subjects are Ponorogo people who are in their ramaja age until late adulthood, that is, their active age as social media users. Research shows that the Ponorogo community is familiar with the use of social media, including WhatsApp, Instagram, FaceBook, YouTube, Line, Twitter and Podcast. This social media is widely used by the community in various activities, especially in studying the science of religion, namely by seeing da'wah through social media. The people of Ponorogo consider social media to be effective as a means of preaching for several reasons including, easy access or reach, efficient time and place, being able to choose the content or lecture content that they want to find, and not monotonous or in accordance with the times. However, social media is also considered ineffective for several reasons, including, it is feared that the content delivered by the speaker has unclear sources.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence is a person’s ability to recognize self emotions, manage self emotions, motivate oneself, rocognize other people’s emotions (empathy) and the ability to foster relationships (cooperation) with others. While learning achievement is the result of learning from a learning activity carried out based on measurements and assessments of the results of learning activities in the academic field which are realized in the form of numbers in the report card. According to the results of recent research in the field of psychology prove that IQ is not the only factor that affects one's learning achievement, but there are many other factors that influence one of them is emotional intelligence. If students have high emotional intelligence, it will improve learning achievement.   As is well known that learning achievement on Tarikh Islam, especially in class 4th grade KMI in Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Putri Campus 2 is still relatively low. From these studies researchers have new ideas to improve learning achievement by studying and increasing emotional intelligence.

Abstract

The Islamic boarding school of Darussalam Gontor (PMDG) is well-known for being an educational institute that uses both Arabic and English in the educational curriculum. One of the Arabic subjects studied in it is al-Insyā al-‘Arabī al-taḥrīrī, which aims to raise students' language proficiency in the field of Arabic writing. And al-khiṭābah al-‘Arabīyah, which is an important activity in raising students’ language proficiency in the field of Arabic speech. This research wanted to explore the effect of al-Insyā al-‘Arabī al-taḥrīrī on al-khiṭābah al-‘Arabīyah for female students, the second grade of the Islamic boarding school of Darussalam Gontor for Female in First Campus, in order to obtain an answer about the influence of the ability of the Arabic written skill on female students’public speaking efficiency or lack of influence. This research is a field research in the form of a quantitative study. The data collection method used is the test method and written documents. The method of data analysis is statistical analysis and product-moment correlation. The result of this research indicated the absence of the influence of al-Insyā al-‘Arabī al-taḥrīrī on al-khiṭābah al-‘Arabīyah of female students. This can be seen from the statistical analysis that the result is 0.207 smaller than the value of the table r, which is (0.213).

Abstract

The pandemic of corona virus covid-19 has changed various aspects of life, both politically, culturally, economically and educationally. To avoid the spread of this epidemic from becoming more widespread, the government decided to shift the classical learning model to distance learning. With its various weaknesses, self-regulated learning becomes a solution to strengthen students' motivation and achievement of learning goals. This study was conducted to find a relationship between the role of Islamic religious education and self-regulated learning. Through literature research with a descriptive analysis approach, the results show that Islamic religious education can play a role in: 1) strengthening students' self-control in the learning process, 2) building learning motivation with various media in accordance with Islamic teachings, 3) building learning goals oriented to the goodness of the world and the afterlife

Abstract

The research was conducted at Muadalah Islamic Boarding School which in this case was Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School branch 2. Researchers conducted research on the Effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching Learning Learning Model on religious lessons. Gontor's modern cottage was chosen because it is possible to practice CTL teaching model in class, so that the research objectives can be achieved. The general objective of this research is to know the experimental learning patterns by using the Contextual Teaching and Learning method in Gontor boarding schools, knowing the effectiveness of the Contextual Teachng Learning learning model in improving understanding of religious material in Muadalah Modern Islamic boarding schools. The initial stages of this research will be carried out by field observations. Then proceed with class grouping into two groups, groups A and B. Group A is a control group that is not given experimental treatment. The next stage is to carry out treatment by giving learning with the CTL model on object B. The final stage is a post test aimed at finding out the effectiveness of the religious learning model at the institution. The method used is a quantitative method, with the type of experimental research. The population in the design of this study were all 4 KMI students or equivalent with 1st grade of high school. Presentation of data is done by a combination among qualitative and quantitative method. Qualitative methods are intended to describe the details of learning activities with the CTL model, while the quantitative method is used to present the results of the post test validity. The specific targets of this research are 1) to find out how students' cognitive competence in the religious field before treatment 2) to find out the effectiveness of the contextual teaching learning model. The results of this study found that the significance of the calculation of the free sample t test with SPSS was 0,000 <0.05, with the conclusion that the CTL method was effectively implemented on religious lessons in Muadalah Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

AbstractK.H. Imam Zarkasyi was a successful figure with his modern boarding school educational system in accommodating various diversity in Indonesia. This study discusses the Implementation of Wasathiyatul Islam in the curriculum of Modern Islamic boarding School Darussalam Gontor with a focus on the study of K.H. Imam Zarkasyi’s Thought. The problem in this research is how the concept of Islamic thought Wasathiyah according to K.H Imam Zarkasyi, then how was The Wasathiyah Islam implemented in the curriculum of Modern Islamic Boarding school Darussalam Gontor and the reason why Wasathiyah Islam implemented in the curriculum at Modern Islamic Darussalam Gontor. While the purpose of this thesis is to analyze and describe the concept of Islamic thought of Wasathiyah according to K.H Imam Zarkasyi, and then reveals how Wasathiyah Islam implemented in curriculum at Modern Islamic Boarding school Darussalam Gontor and explain the reason why was the Wasathiyatul Islam implemented in curriculum at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor. The kind of research instrument is biographical research, with rationalistic postpositivism approach, using descriptive analysis, by data collecting method with interview, observation, and documentation. The source of data obtained from the books author by K.H.Imam Zarkasyi, interview towards his sons, Director of KMI, and teachers in Modern Islamic boarding school Darussalam Gontor. Data analysis techniques performed after data collection, data reduction, and presentation of data then performed conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the concept of Islamic thought Wasathiyah (Wasathiyah al-Islam), in K.H. Imam Zarkasyi’s thought is a frame of mind based on philosophical values, with the consideration of al-khoiriyah wa al-afdholiyah, proportional, and balance, within the framework of shari'ah.

Abstract

In the era of 4.0, life in Indonesia has progressed, this certainly means that human resources must continue to make improvements, both in terms of science, technology, and morals. One of these improvements can be carried out by adopting an education system as the moral message contained in the story of the prophet Yusuf. which is contained in the word of Allah swt Al-Qur'an surah Yusuf. In the story of the prophet Yusuf, there are many educational values that can be used as a source of learning, especially regarding the faith of faith and the greatness of the morals or morals of Islamic youth. However, along with the times in the era of 4.0, the all-digital era has caused the moral degradation of adolescents. Therefore, researchers are interested in knowing the solution of the al-quran surah Yusuf in overcoming the moral degradation of adolescents through the example story of the prophet Yusuf as. In its implementation, the type of research used is the type of library research which emphasizes library analysis. The data taken is literature data that uses library sources in obtaining research data. Research conducted, researchers see the objectives and data of this study using a qualitative approach

Abstract

Mental Hygiene is a branch of psychology that talks about the treatment of human mental health. One of the scientists who focuses on this field is Zakiah Daradjat. He succeeded in reformulating his mental hygiene concept so that it has its own characteristics. Not only speaking in theory, but he has also applied his concept in fostering community mental health in his home clinic and also formal educational institutions through the foundation he founded, namely the Islamic Foundation Ruhama. In his thesis, he is interested in researching the problems of adolescents in Indonesia. This is because adolescence is a transitional age from children to adults who need more attention in dealing with life problems. Formal education institutions become one of the mediators to play a big role in dealing with their problems. This research is interesting because the mental hygiene of zakiah daradjat is able to be a solution in dealing with adolescent problems that are applied through his formal education. This is grounded research by making the main research objects of Islamic Junior High School and Islamic Vocational High School Ruhama, South Tangerang. Data collection by interview and studying the curriculum in both schools. After conducting the research, it was found that the application of Zakiah Daradjat's mental hygiene concepts at the two high school institutions was successful and exemplary. This success is driven by three factors. First, there are mental hygiene values of zakiah daradjat which are in line with Pancasila. Second, attractive and innovative application methods. Third, holistic and integrative application techniques in the three education centers.

Abstract

The poetic tale is obviously considered as the high-level literary of the fine arts in the Arab art tradition. This is because of its inner factors that firmly influence the reader and audient apprehension and imaginativeness which, then, establish the thinking perception. One of the upmost examples of this story is the tales of the Prince of Poets ‘Ahmed Syauqy, the pioneer of the poetic tale in the modern era with consists of more than fifty five tales including the Noah’ Ark. This story is characterized by outstanding beautiful poetic style, which varying from the sounds to significance of the story. For this reason, this study aims to analyze semantically the stylistics side of the story. With regards to the methodology, this study primarily utilizes the descriptive methods with chiefly employees the contemporary semantic for analyzing the semantic phenomenon of this literary art. In the final result of this study are primarily encompasses two focuses; the semantic fields and the intertextuality of the story. The observation results variation of the semantic fields occurrence in this story that literalized in semantic fields on the animals, the silent nature, the feelings and traits, the locations, and parts of the body. Furthermore, this story contains two basic intertextuality stylistics, both are: external intertextuality derived from the Holy Qur’an and the internal intertextuality from the story of Noah's Ark its self.
