Abstract

AbstractThe roof frame is a building structure that is above ringbalk. The roof frame serves as a retaining roof from pressure provided by the roof . Constructs of trusses are generally made of the same type and dimensions of wood use for short, medium, or long spans. Therefore, it needs analysis wood requirement of truss. This study aims to determine the dimensions and volumes of truss and compare volume of efficient timber requirements of the planned. In this research,volume requirement analysis of truss.The first, selection of wood used in the span of 8 meters. Then make 4 types of truss. Then, load analysis using SAP2000 to get the force. Having obtained value of force, then performed an analysis of the pull force and press so that the dimensions used are safe. Furthermore, the calculation of the volume of wood demand on each type of the planned, so that obtained efficient comparison volume of the 4 types.In the analysis, the dimensions of each type are type 1 (6/6 cm, 6/8 cm, 8/8 cm and 8/10 cm), type 2 (4/6 cm, 6/8 cm, and 8/8 cm), type 3 (4/6 cm and 6/8 cm) and type 4 (4/6 cm, 6/8 cm, and 8/10 cm). Then the volume of wood demand on type 1 (0,2038 m3), type 2 (0,1383 m3), type 3 (0,1229 m3), and type 4 (0,1797 m3). Based on the stem rod analysis, it was concluded that the most efficient roof truss type of the 4 types, namely the 3rd type.Keywords: Roof frames, truss, volume of wood

Abstract

ir Anak River and Talang Bandung River is upstream of the Way Besai River that is the largest in West Lampung District. Problems which often occur in the upstream region is land erosion causing sedimentation. The purpose of this study : to analyze the hydrograph measured units, to determine the sediment rate and determine the amount sediment HST Air Anak River and Talang Bandung River.The location of this research was conduced in the Air Anak watershed and Talang Bandung watershed, Sumber Jaya district, Lampung Barat. Data required in this study is automatic rainfall and suspended sediment data.From the result of the measurement unit hydrograph analysis Air Anak watershed and Talang Bandung watershed average sediment obtained in Air Anak watershed in a 10 minutes of 28,068 ton/tahun, 30 minutes period of 24,875 ton/tahun an a 60 minutes period of 23,9047 ton/tahun. While at Talang Bandung watershed period 10 minutes 26,0315 ton/tahun, 30 minutes period of 25,3898 ton/tahun and 60 minutes period of 26,903 ton/tahun. Keywords : HST sedimentation, DAS Air Anak, DAS Talang Bandung. AbstrakSungai Air Anak dan Sungai Talang Bandung merupakan bagian hulu dari Sungai Way Besai yang merupakan sungai terbesar di Kabupaten Lampung Barat. Permasalahan yang serimg terjadi di daerah hulu adalah masalah erosi yang menyebabkan terjadinya sedimentasi. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu : untuk menganalisis Hidrograf Satuan Terukurnya, mengetahui besarnya laju sedimentasi dan mengetahui besarnya HST sedimen Sungai Air Anak dan Sungai Talang Bandung. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di DAS Air Anak dan DAS Talang Bandung, Kecamatan Sumber Jaya, Kabupaten Lampung Barat. Data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini adalah data curah hujan otomatis dan data sedimen suspended. Dari hasil analisis Hidrograf Satuan Terukur (HST) Sedimen rerata yang didapat pada DAS Air Anak pada periode waktu 10 menitan sebesar 28,068 ton/tahun, periode waktu  30 menitan sebesar 24,875 ton/tahun dan periode waktu 60 menitan sebesar 23,9047 ton/tahun. Sedangkan pada DAS Talang Bandung periode waktu 10 menitan sebesar26,0315 ton/tahun, periode waktu 30 menitan sebesar 25,3898 ton/tahun dan periode waktu 60 menitan sebesar 26,903 ton/tahun.Kata kunci:HST sedimen, DAS Air Anak, DAS Talang Bandung.

Abstract

One causes of construction failure on flexible pavement is changed composition of the aggregate gradation in asphalt mixture of the plan due to mechanical or non-mechanical process. Aggregates can occur degradation, ie gradation changes due to aggregate breakage of grains. Aggregate degradation can be caused by both mechanical and chemical processes. The decrease in quality occurring in the asphalt mixture is thought to be due to the aggregate gradation change in the asphalt mixture. To find this out, a study on the degradation level of flexible pavement construction is conducted,from Asphalt Mixing Plant to overlay location. Used mixture are Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course produced by PT. Manggung Polah Raya for location on Sultan Agung Street, Bandar Lampung, Lampung and PT. Rindang Tigasatu Pratama for location on Teuku Cik Ditiro Street, Bandar Lampung, Lampung. Test of samples performed are extraction test and sieves analysis test. From the research result, it is founded that there is degradation during transport of asphalt mixture from Asphalt Mixing Plant to the location. Average degradation percent of location I, location II and location III PT. Manggung Polah Raya and PT. Rindang Tigasatu Pratama is %CA decreased by 5.17%, %FA increased by 3.67% and %filler increased 1.50%. Factors affecting degradation are due to work execution, specific gravity of aggregate and time of transport.Keywords: Road Pavement, Asphalt Concrete, Degradation

Abstract

In Indonesia, bridges normally use a simply-supported system or a multisimple-span system withexpansion joint. Several problem occurred due to the use of expansion joints in bridge, iecorrosion problem on girders and supports due to rainwater intrusion, users discomfort, high costmaintenance, as well as reduction in bridge lifetime as well. In the design, the existing expansionjoints in the bridges were replaced by using continuous slab construction with link slab system.Design of link slab use classic method by Caner and Zia 1998. The design was conducted on theprestress bridges with length of span 2 x 50 m. The loadings adopted for the design referred to the1725 2016 SNI standard and dimension of girder from WIKA Beton standard. From design werefound that length of link slab zone of 7,55 m and length of debonding zone of 5,05 m. The rotationgained by 0,0058 caused by the truck load. The link slab used reinforcment stool bar D16-125 mmfor the main reinforcement and D12-300 mm for shrinkage-temperature reinforcement. It isexpected that link slab analysis can then use more variable beam types and span lengths.Keyword: Prestress bridge, Link Slab, Expansion Joint

Abstract

Gradation indicated has a considerable influence on interlocking which will subsequently affect the carrying capacity / stability. Therefore, the research was conducted with the aim to know the extent of the effect of aggregate degradation on the asphalt mixture quality decline. In this research, laboratory testing is done by taking asphalt samples at 2 Asphalt Mixing Plant (AMP) and different onsite location. Furthermore, as secondary data obtained Job Mix Formula on each AMP. After obtaining asphalt samples and Job Mix Formula, laboratory testing is conducted to determine the level of aggregate degradation of the asphalt quality decline. In laboratory test for asphalt samples of PT.Manggung Polah Raya obtained a crude aggregate fraction of 4,35%, a fine aggregate fraction of 6,23%, and a filler fraction of 1,87% indicated the higher gradation change becomes smoother. The value of mixed characteristics produced on Marhsall Test according to DGH specification 2010 for density > 2gr / cc, VMA > 15%, VIM 3,5%-5%, Flow > 3mm, And Stability > 800Kg. From the test result of asphalt samples of PT.Rindang Tigasatu Pratama obtained a crude aggregate fraction of 0,98%, a fine aggregate fraction of 0,12%, and a filler fraction of 0,86% indicating gradation increasingly coarse.Keywords: Gradation, Interlocking, Asphalt Mixing Plant (AMP) Marshall Test, Office of Highway 2010 Specification.

Abstract

Concrete is one of the construction materials that has the advantage of being able to withstand a high compressive strength but has a low tensile strength.To overcome the weaknesses that exist in the concrete, one of the efforts applied is to add fiber in the form of bendrat wire in the concrete in order to increase the tensile strength and flexural strength of concrete. The specimens of this research are concrete cylinder with diameter 15 cm and height 30 cm and concrete beam object with dimension of length, width and height 60 cm, 15 cm, and 15 cm respectively. Tests were performed at 28-days of concrete. While the addition of bendrat wire fiber is done based on the percentage of volume fraction (Vf) addition to the volume of concrete by 0%; 0,299%; 0,695%; and 0,990%. Each variation was made 9 test specimens consisting of 6 cylinders and 3 beams.The average compressive strength in high quality concrete without bendrat wire has the highest value of 50,0118 MPa. For the average compressive strength value at Vf 0.299%, 0.695%, and 0.990% were 42,2741 MPa, 41,8967 MPa and 39.6320 MParespectively. While for splitting strength and flexural strength in high quality concrete with volume fraction (Vf) 0,990% has the highest value with the splitting strength of an average of 4,6945 MPa and the average flexural strength of 7,9133 MPa Keyword : High quality concrete, bendrat wire fiber

Abstract

Feasibility Analysis is an appropriate analysis of parameters to determine a successful implemented project or not. Feasibility analysis is divided into two parts economic and financial analysis that both affect the feasibility of a project. The purpose of this study is to determine the costs incurred in a railway shortcut project, to analyze delay times before and after a railway shortcut, and to find out which railway shortcut project meets the economic and financial feasibility requirements. In this study, an analysis of the economic and financial feasibility and summarize the economic viability benefits of the Tegineneng - Tarahan shortcut project was conduct. A project is declared feasible or not by doing comparison with the feasibility method that is NPV> 0, BCR> 1, PP faster than the specified time, IRR> capital cost, and PI> 1. This study uses full occupancy rate with discount rate of 5% , 10%, and 15%, respectively.Based on the results obtained in terms of economic feasibility analysis that investment evaluation does not qualify due to the amount of benefit is too small so that economic analysis is not feasible. The aspect of financial feasibility analysis and analysis by summing the two financial and economic benefits is eligible so that the Tegineneng - Tarahan shortcut project is categorized as feasible. Keyword : Economic Feasibility, Financial Feasibility, Feasibility Method

Abstract

The soil occupies an important role in the construction of a building, the main benefit of the soil isas a foundation of the construction, there are several soil shear strength tests, such as DirectShear Test, and Vane Shear Test. Each test can produce different test results for the same testobject. This may occur due to different testing procedures and workings of different tools as wellas the main test result targets of each equipment in the determination of soil parameters.Therefore, a careful soil investigation is needed, especially to determine the degree of saturationin peat soils by using soil shear strength test. In this study, the soil tested is a type of peat soiloriginated from the Rawa Seragi area, Belimbing Sari Village, Jabung District, East LampungDistrict.The tests were conducted directly in the laboratory for 12 (twelve) points and at differentdepths with Vane Shear and Direct Shear tools used to calculate the soil and maximum readingability on the torsimeter dial. Based on the test results obtained the average shear strength valueof Vane Shear on saturated soil at 30cm with an average value of 0.0379 and at a depth of 50cmwith an average value of 0.0384 and on unsaturated soil at a depth of 30cm with an average valueof 0.0434 and at a depth of 50cm with an average value of 0.0406 thus obtained a decrease of0.0066.Keywords: Degree of Saturation, Peat Soil, Shear Strength Test

Abstract

Lampung University as one of the first and oldest universities in Lampung Province is one of the best universities in Sumatra and continues to improve its academic quality, and have A Accreditation. The improvement of Lampung University facilities and infrastructure is continuously conducted in order to improve both academic and non-academic quality. The form of non-academic quality improvement is environmental arrangement with the drainage system planning. It is intended to solve some of the flood puddles that occurred during the rainy season due to the lack of optimal condition of existing drainage in the University of Lampung.The analysis conducted in this research includes hydrological analysis and hydraulics analysis. Hydrological analysis aimed to calculate the discharge plan using rational method and hydraulic analysis aims to calculate the capacity of existing drainage channels. So we can know the position of the flood point and planning the new channel dimension.Based on the analysis of the flood point occurred at DN15 cross section with 9.5 m long overflow which is located in front of the entrance portal of Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences. There are also some new drainage section design at DN63 point along 56 m, DN64 along 45 m and DN65 along 67 m as they are still a natural drainage. It is also necessary to give the drainage channel maintenance by channel normalization, garbage retaining lattice installation, and periodic cleaning of channels.

Abstract

One of the causes of construction failure on asphalt pavement is segregation. Which  is the separation of small and large aggregate grains within a mixture, so that in a part of the coating of the pavement will be concentrated aggregate coarse and in other part will be concentrated fine aggregate. One of the factors causing segregation is the hauling distance from Asphalt Mixing Plant to the slap location. To understand this, task a study on the impact of the transport process on segregation on hot asphalt mixture from Asphalt Mixing Plant to the location of the spread. The mixture used is the Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course type or the laston coated wear of Asphalt Mixing Plant PT. Gigging Polah Raya for work location which is 28.9 km on Jalan Sultan Agung, Bandar Lampung, Lampung and PT. Rindang Tigasatu Pratama for work location located 53.3 km on Jalan Teuku Cik Ditiro, Bandar Lampung, Lampung. Examination of sample is done trough extraction test and sieve analysis test. From the result of the research, it’s found that there is being segregation during the transport of asphalt mix mixture from Asphalt Mixing Plant to the slap location. For sample PT. Manggung Polah Raya, gradation aggregate is still within the upper and lower limits of the general specification Bina Marga 2010. As for the sample of PT. Rindang Tigasatu Pratama, the aggregate gradation is out of the upper and lower limits of the general specification of Bina Marga 2010. Factors affecting segregation are haulage distances and aggregate density. Keywords: Road Pavement, Asphalt Concrete, Segregation.
