Abstract

Since 2010, National Character Development has been a program. Thisnationwide initiative faces fairly significant issues due to the dynamics andchanges in the life patterns of individuals. To revitalize the national program, the national movement of mental revolution was then established in 2016. Thisprogram's implementation was crucial, but it did not appear to have a preciseevaluation system to measure its success. Therefore, a system of evaluationthat could generate index documents of the success rate was required. SocialPiety Index was the community behavior survey that had been conducted(Indeks Kesalehan Sosial-IKS). This survey examined the level of social pietyand produced a document with an index of accomplishments. Consequently, the IKS record may be utilized as a depiction of the evolution of thecommunity's character. Utilizing a quantitative approach with statisticalanalysis, the survey method employed was quantitative. The acquired resultrevealed that both the knowledge and attitude data were strong, but the levelof correlation between the two was poor. The combination of a high pietyindex and a low correlation suggested that it was necessary to addressadditional concerns. These additional characteristics required specializedinvestigation to be revealed. The establishment of the IKS was essential, particularly if it served as an evaluation system and measuring tool for theaccomplishment of national character building.

Abstract

Agriculture and climate change have a complex causal relationship. Theagricultural sector produces large amounts of Green House Gases (GHG)such as CH4, CO2, and N2O which affect the climate. One of theconsequences of climate change is an increase in rainfall. This has caused2,971.51 ha of submerged and damaged rice fields in the Tabalong District. This study aims to determine the climate change adaptation and mitigationstrategies of the agricultural sector in the Tabalong District. Emissionmeasurements and mapping of the distribution of GHG emissions are shownto support strategy determination. The GHG inventory is calculated usingthe Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry method, mapping thedistribution of emissions using the geographic information system method, and determining the best adaptation and mitigation strategies using theAnalytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with Expert Choice Software. Theresults showed that GHG emissions from the agricultural sector of theTabalong District until 2030 amounted to 191,384 tCO2e / year. There arefive Sub-districts identified as the largest GHG-producing districts from themapping of the distribution of GHG. The results of the AHP synthesis showthat there are three strategies for climate change adaptation and fourstrategies for climate change mitigation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure the performance of service qualityby using students' perceptions of service quality performance at theDepartment of Industrial Chemical Engineering, Faculty of VocationalStudies ITS Surabaya Indonesia through the Higher Education Performance(HEdPerf) measurement scale using six structural dimensions consisting ofNon-Academic Aspects, Academic Aspects, Reputation, Access, ProgramIssues, and Understanding. Quantitative descriptive method, questionnairesurvey with Probability Sampling technique, and Proportioned StratifiedRandom Sampling collecti0n technique were used as methods in thisstudy. The results of the analysis using Importance-Performance Analysisshow the similarity of the measurement results between each service itemmeasurement and the measurement of the factor/dimensional structureinstrument. The reputation factor is a top priority for improving servicequality. Academic and Access factors have service quality that must bemaintained. Understanding Program Factors and Problems is the secondpriority for improving service quality. Then non-academic factors indicatethat the quality of service exceeds student expectations.

Abstract

Earned Value Management (EVM) is a method used to monitor and to predictproject completion time. This method uses a linear approach in predictingproject time completion. Unfortunately, most of the projects run in dynamicenvironments with complex characteristics, causing project progress torequire a non-linear approach. That is why the use of EVM in monitoring andpredicting non-linear project completion time is less effective. This studyproposes a more realistic alternative approach using non-Linear EVM basedon the Support Vector Regression (SVR) - Growth Model. The SVR-growthmodel is used to accommodate the non-linear progress of the project, while theEVM is used to represent the predicted results of the project completion time. For model validation, 5 data on oil and gas field development constructionprojects in Jawa, Bali and Nusa Tenggara Regions were used as case studies. The results of this study indicate that the results of project completion timeprediction using the SVR-Growth Model provide high accuracy and precisioncompared to the traditional EVM method.

Abstract

Littering behavior studies are essential amid high waste conditions inIndonesia. This study aims to analyze student littering behavior changesthrough a reinforcement program in Junior High School in Depok, WestJava. Using an explorative-qualitative approach and collecting data throughin-depth interviews with key informants, the study found that students'littering behavior can be categorized as active and passive. Active litteringbehavior is based on students' lack of concern for the environment due toinsufficient knowledge of the impact of waste. Then passive litteringbehavior is caused by habits that delay littering even though they are awareof the waste dangers. Continuous reinforcement at school in positive andnegative reinforcement through the "Green School Program" can reducestudent littering behavior, both actively and passively.
