Abstract

Celebrity endorsement on social media has become a trendy way to advertise today. Examining the effectiveness of celebrity endorsers using the familiarity variable is deemed necessary, considering the risks that arise from selecting inappropriate celebrities. It is also important to explore whether different categories lead to different responses. The aim of the study was to analyze the effect of differences in endorser familiarity and product categories on compatibility with products, attitudes towards advertisements and brands and purchase intentions of Y generation consumers in cosmetic advertisements. This research is a 2x2 factorial experimental study using Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). There were 2 stages of the research, the first stage was the pre-test with 30 research participants to select celebrities and the second stage was the main test with 156 participants who were divided into 4 experimental groups. The results of the study stated that differences in celebrity familiarity had no effect on compatibility with products and attitudes towards brands, but had an effect on attitudes towards advertisements and purchase intentions. Differences in product categories and interactions between familiarity and categories show insignificant results. Celebrity endorsers with high or low familiarity currently both have the same potential and each endorser has its own market. Companies should increase consumer product involvement by repeating information. Keywords: attitude towards advertising and brand, endorser familiarity, experimental study, purchase intention, product categories

Abstract

Unemployment is one of the economic disorders that affect the economic growth rate. In addition, the recent pandemic outbreak has turned the medical crisis into a global financial downturn, threatening the health and employment of people around the world. Unemployment insurance is intended to assist workers with partial and momentary income replacement, access to skill training, and job placement assistance during their unemployment period. The scheme was launched in Indonesia on March 2021. This study analyzed the intention effect toward participation and the effect of attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control towards the intention to participate using the Theory of Planned Behaviour. The total number of registered companies in DKI Jakarta Regional is 111.855, while the registered workers are 5.853.717. The quantity of samples based on the minimum sample calculation findings with the minimum number of samples obtained is 170 respondents. There were 200 participants of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan in the DKI Jakarta regional office who participated as respondents during the research period. SEM analysis methods are used in this study. The result showed that attitude toward behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control positively and significantly influence the intention to participate. Subjective norm is significant as an intervening variable between attitude and perceived behavioral control toward the intention to participate. Thus, strategies focusing on these factors can increase participation in the unemployment insurance scheme. Keywords: attitude toward behavior, participation intention, perceived behavioral control, subjective norm, unemployment insurance

Quantitative data was collected by distributing questionnaires to the citizen who applied for permits in January-May 2022, with as many as 321 samples. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) on LISREL 8.8 software. The results all show excellent except for transparency which has good. Therefore this research model could be applied further to measure the performance of e-government. Keywords: e-government, online single submission, performance, structural equation modeling, website

Abstract

This article aims to explore how the symbolic assessment of actors in the phytopharmaca herbal market arena in Indonesia uses one of the market assessment criteria, namely the symbolic value of cognitive anchoring. Based on digital research of the phytopharmaceutical market, The primary data obtained was then visualized using Gephi software and analyzed using a mixed method technique in a corpus-based TNA and SNA to map actor positions and network characteristics between actors. The results show that the consumption of phytopharmaca is a social behavior that manifests in meaning. This reflective process becomes the basis for deciding the community choosing phytopharmaca as medicine. In addition, knowledge and decisions to consume phytopharmaca are influenced by practical considerations, both the influence of individual and group reviews, personal experience, and information that forms a specific understanding. Therefore, the conclusion of this research is that network position visualization pattern actors, including companies, government institutions, educational institutions, and communities that develop research on phytopharmaceutical products to compete in the global market.
