Abstract

One of the very needed natural resources on our planet is water. A total of 70% of the Earth's surface is water utilized for human development such as drinking, irrigation and cultivating fish. Contaminated water will have a bad effect on all living creatures and their environment [7]. Sources of water pollution can be derived from manusi stool containing coliform bacteria. The research purposes will be monitoring colifom number and Escherichia coli on some samples of drinking water as a bioindicator of drinking water pollution considering the higher the population consuming drinking water refill. This resource is pure resource experiment that use design of resource descriptive analitic. The data obtained will be displayed in the frequency distribution table to see the figure of coliform and E.coli in refill drinking water. From the results of this study, of 20 samples of drinking water refill there were 14 unqualified samples where the coliform figures exceeded quality standards. And 5 positive samples of E. Coli bacteria

Abstract

An environmentally friendly agricultural system with organic fertilizer is used to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers, thus producing healthy agricultural products for consumption. Liquid organic fertilizer from bamboo shoots is an alternative substitute for chemical fertilizers in the planting of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frustescens L.) hydroponically. This study aims to determine the effect of bamboo shoot liquid organic fertilizer on hydroponic cayenne pepper pre-antithesis growth. The study was conducted at the Biology Laboratory of UIN Raden Intan Lampung, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments with 3 replications. The treatments included negative control (water), positive control (AB mix), P1 = 10%, P2 = 15%, P3 = 20%, P4 = 25% ml. The parameters include plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, plant fresh weight. Data were analyzed using One Way Anova (SPSS 17.0), followed by LSD at the 5% level. The results show the effect of treatment on all parameters. Control positive (AB mix) gave the best results on all parameters, then successively treated P4, P3, P2, P1, K0 (negative control). Although not as good as using an AB mix solution, the administration of bamboo shoots POC with a concentration of 25% can support the growth of hydroponic cayenne pre-synthesis.

Abstract

Nypa is a mangrove plant that acts as a food source, such as nata. Research has shown that nipah plant waste, such as frond fibers and nipah fruit skin fibers, can be used as a raw material in making nata fruticans. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of nipah fiber (Nypa fruticans Wurmb.) in nata production using soybean sprouts as a nitrogen source. The samples of nipah fiber (Nypa fruticans) used were leaves (DN), midrib (PN) and fruit skin (KB), taken in the Kuala Tungkal area, West Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province. This research method includes making the mother solution, making nata starter, and producing nata sheet by using soybean as a source of nitrogen with a concentration of 5%, 10% and 15% and ZA as a control. The results of this study indicate that the best volume and thickness of nata fruticans can be seen from the midrib substrate with a concentration of 10% soybean sprouts. The yields produced for all treatments were still lower compared to controls. Meanwhile, the water content of all treatments was better than the control. The best quality of Nata Fruticans based on thickness, yield and average moisture content was generally obtained from the substrate from the leaf midrib fibers with a concentration of 10% soybean sprouts
