Kreativitas produk, khususnya dalam pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran, perlu dimiliki calon guru biologi, dan hal tersebut masih rendah di Prodi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kreativitas produk pada mahasiswa melalui penerapan STAD-PjBL. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini melibatkan 35 orang mahasiswa yang menempuh mata kuliah Perencanaan Pembelajaran Biologi. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar penilaian keterampilan produk yang diisi oleh 3 orang observer selama 3 siklus berlangsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan rerata kreativitas produk sebanyak 18 point (Pra Siklus: 63; Siklus I: 71; Siklus II: 76; Siklus III: 81). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan implementasi STAD-PjBL mampu meningkatkan kreativitas produk pada mahasiswa calon guru, meskipun masih pada level “baik”.

This research is based on the fact that teaching materials are not yet available as a best friend for teachers in delivering Indonesian language learning at the SMA / MA class X semester 1 of KD 3.7 and 4.7. The purpose of this study was to produce teaching materials for Indonesian language for class X semesters 1 KD 3.7 and 4.7 based on Banjarnegara Regency folklore. This research is a development research with a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. According to experts teaching material has a percentage of validity level 88.5% with a valid category, according to media experts teaching material has a percentage of validity level 80% with a valid category, according to learning experts namely Indonesian language subject teachers have a percentage of validity level 83.7 % with valid categories. Based on the results of research according to class X students of SMA Muhammadiyah Banjarnegara as users, this teaching material greatly facilitates students in understanding folklore. This can be seen from the result of filling out the questionnaire about response student of class X to the teaching materials of the developmet result which have a percentage of validity 91.5%. Suggestions include for product utilization, product dissemination, and further development needs.

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk (1)mengetahui sejauh mana penggunaan media pembelajaran Plano Kalender Bekas untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dan (2)mengetahui dampak penggunaan media pembelajaran Plano Kalender Bekas pada materi pidato persuasif di kelas IX SMPK Virgo Fidelis Maumere. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Media plano kalender bekas merupakan media non-digital real-visual yang memanfaatkan barang bekas sebagai peantara dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas IXC SMPK Virgo Fidelis dengan subjek penelitian 30 peserta didik. Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media plano kalender bekas dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan partisipasi (aspek sikap) dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Sikap peserta didik pada siklus I menunjukkan 3 dari 5 kelompok mendapat kategori BAIK dan pada siklus II menunjukkan peningkatan yakni 5 kelompok mendapat kategori BAIK dan AMAT BAIK. Hasil belajar siklus I menunjukkan perentase daya serap mencapai 74,1% meningkat menjadi 80,5% pada siklus II. Persentase ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I mencapai 73% meningkat menjadi 90% pada siklus II.

Today’s technology plays a critical role in human activities, including education. However, it is shown that the integration of technology into education did not improve students’ critical thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effect of blended learning through Edmodo based on project-based learning (PBL) to improve critical thinking skills. Quantitative approach was employed with a quasi-experimental method. Samples of this research were students of the undergraduate Biology Education Program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. These samples took Learning Strategy subject with class A as the experimental group, and class B as the control group. Results show that blended learning based on PBL significantly improved students’ critical thinking skills.

Statistics are studied in many fields of study including in Governmental Science, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). However, in reality, many UMM Government Science students do not understand the material and still have difficulty applying statistical methods, so it is necessary to provide mini research-based learning and analysis of interpretation abilities. The purpose of this research was to analyze students’ interpretative abilities in mini-research on research-based learning. The research used a qualitative descriptive method. The research sample consisted of 1 student who carried out mini research-based learning. The results of student’s reports were analyzed according to the indicators of interpretation ability. The result of the research indicated that the application of research-based learning in statistics subjects has a positive impact on students’ mathematical interpretation abilities can be seen from the achievement of the mathematical representation indicators found in the mini-research conducted by subject 1 in class. However, several things need to be improved in the mini-research conducted by subject 1, namely presenting problems and solving them in other forms. The descriptor wrote the notation in other forms and communicates the notation according to the idea.

Gender difference can be assumed as an individual difference generally existing and catching attention in the foreign language teaching and learning.This research aims at finding out the strategies used by the students in learning English and students’ perspective on the learning strategies based on their gender. The data are gathered through questionnaires and interview which are given to the students of English Language Education Department. This study discovered that male and female students differ in the learning strategy, and the female students score higher in the use of learning strategy than the males. Metacognitive and social learning strategy were highly used by female students. On the other hand, male students score compensation, metacognitive and cognitive learning strategy as their attempts to learn English. The result also found that females use all the strategies more often than males particularly on metacognitive strategy. Moreover, there are differences in the use of other strategies, but the finding is not remarkable.

Mathematical representation is one of the mathematical recognition’s form. This study aimed to compare the ability of students' mathematical symbol recognition between learning using Student Activity Sheets characterized by mathematical representation and learning using group presentation assignment activities. The research method employed Posttest-Only Control Group Design, between the control class and the experimental class. The control class is a class with group presentation learning assignments while the experimental class is a class with learning that uses MFIs characterized by mathematical representations. The data were obtained by providing tests to measure students' mathematical recognition abilities. The data were analyzed by using the t-test. The results of calculations with the help of SPSS showed that data from both classes are normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of data analysis conducted by t-test showed sig. ≥0.05 so H1 is rejected and H0 is accepted which means that there was no difference in the ability to recognize mathematical symbols between the control class and the experimental class. There was no difference in recognition abilities between the control class and the experimental class because learning activities in both classes are student-centered learning.

The current Covid-19 pandemic has severely impacted education where learning must be carried out online. Canvas is among polysynchronous e-learning platforms available. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of open-ended teaching materials through Canvas-assisted Polysynchronous Learning. This topic was chosen considering the importance teaching materials to support the implementation of Polysynchronous Learning. This study developed learning modules and power points as learning media, and Google form as evaluation media. Research and Development (R&D) approach was employed with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. These materials were validated by material and media experts to measure their effectiveness. Results show that the teaching materials are valid and feasible. These teaching materials were implemented through a polysynchronous learning where student activities reached 89%. It is implied that these materials could enhance student learning. Students’ learning outcomes (final test) are categorized good with the average score of 80.8; the distribution of 44 points for A, 24 for B+, and 12 for B.
