Abstract

Previous research has proven that the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) can increase the efficiency of human work. However, the design of the usefulness of UAV is considered to be limited. This limitation, for example, is that the UAV's lifting capacity is only capable of lifting 3-5 kilograms of load on average. In addition, the main material of the UAV frame also uses carbon fiber produced by build-up factories abroad, this makes the UAV design less economical. Furthermore, this study discusses the development of the UAV's lifting capacity of 25 kilograms to be able to lift the pesticide liquid load and considers the economic value. The hexacopter type multicopter UAV design was chosen in this study, equipped with 6 main propulsion rotors capable of carrying out its main task of lifting heavy loads, compared to the multicopter type of fewer than 6 rotors. The design is carried out by calculating the lifting force and analyzing the strength structure of the frame material with the help of AutoDesk Inventor software. The final result of the study was that the aluminum-based heavy-lift hexacopter drone was able to support heavy loads, as evidenced by structural analysis simulations resulting in a safety factor value of 1.67 ul, equipped with a 120KV rotor, 23x88 inch propeller, and 6S lipo battery 16,000 mAh, with a total weight of the frame 15kg drone flying for 19 minutes, with an additional 10kg of load the drone can fly for 6 minutes. This research can be developed by adding a nozzle or griper so that it can lift the pesticide spraying tank on a large enough agricultural land.

Abstract

This study examines the system’s performance with implementation of the energy harvesting (EH) techniques at source node, S and relay node, R. The RF signals which are used to energy harvesting proccess are broadcasted by destination node, D. The information signals from S are sent to D via a R in a cooperative communication framework. The R uses the amplify and forward (AF) protocol to forward the received signal from S to D. We propose a network system which contain of three femto cells, and an access point of each femto cells work as a relay (R), in a macro cell with a base station or eNB as a destination (D). To find the  best R for forwarding the information signal from S to D, we choose the partial relai selection strategy.   From the simulation results can be shown that the throughput system and the outage probability system are affected by the location of S or the distance of between S-R and S-D. Also affected by the access point power of femto cell that is connected to electric source, and  time swithing factor, ρ which is used to harvest energy at S and R nodes. The shorter distance of between S-R and S-D results a better value of  throughput system and the outage probability system, since the gain channel value will be high and increases the SNR value at D. More bigger the power from battery of access point femto cell that is used together with the harvested power by R to forward the signal will result a better value of  throughput system and the outage probability system. More smaller time swithing factor, ρ results more time period for transmitting signal by S and forwarding sinyal by R, therefore increases the transmit power at S and R. Increasing the transmit powers result the increasin SNR value at D, and result a better value of  throughput system and the outage probability system.

Abstract

Online learning has become a trend for the current generation of students who have been exposed to advanced information and communication technology. Smart education can use pattern recognition. Manual assessments are subjective and inconsistent. To overcome these problems, pattern recognition can be used in the non-verbal aspect assessment system. This study describes pattern recognition in online learning about the functions, modalities, and algorithms and specifically related to the recognition system of non-verbal aspects of teaching skills. The literature study was carried out through the stages of planning, selection, extraction, and selection. There are 86 articles reviewed. The first result is the functions of implementing pattern recognition in online learning are engagement recognition, attention detection, emotion recognition, learning behavior, learning activity recognition, authentication, teaching training, etc. using four classifications of modality: visual, audio, biosignal, behavioral, and CNN as the most widely used learning algorithm. Secondly, all modalities (except behavioral) and CNN algorithm can be used for assessing teaching skills. Early development of the non-verbal aspect assessment system can use Facial Expression Recognition (FER) and Hand Gesture Recognition (HGR). The future analysis needs to focus on technology characteristics, the meaningfulness of the content, and the proper teaching mode. In the end, hopefully, prospective teachers will acquire technology that can make it easier for them to practice teaching and get objective assessments.
