Abstract

The purposes of this study are to determine what factors affect the students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and to find out how important the experience of organizing in forming soft skill student. The type of this research is qualitative research with ethnography method. The subject of this research are students of Accounting Education Faculty of Teacher Training and Education UMS. The results of this study claimed the organization’s experience can develop the students’ soft skills, advantages acquired in organization that are developing leadership skill, communication skill, teamwork, networking, problem solving, and managing conflict. This results claimed that three intrinsic factors consisted of interest, talent, and perception. The factor of perception becomes fundamental’s factor is to influence students to join the organization. The students have a viewpoint that the organization activities can develop and improve the students’ soft skills.

Abstract

The coastel region in Indonesia is one of the densest areas of settlement and development, even some of the major cities in Indonesia located in the coastel area and become a major tourism destination. However, behind the beauty there is a threat in the form of natural disasters, if the management of tourism is not optimal for facilities and infrastructure can increase the risk of disaster. This study aims to recommend planning for disaster based tourism development with structural mitigation. This research is a qualitative research. The data collection method used in this research is to conduct literature studies, observations, and documentation. The result of this study indicate that the facilities and infrastructure available at Drini Beach are classified as incomplete in terms of structural mitigation against disaster, so there is a need for planning in developing disaster resilient tourism, with the aim of creating a friendly an resilient tourism climate.

Abstract

The aims of the research are to describe about: 1) Source and conflict types; 2) Conflict handling;and 3) Control conflict. Research type is qualitative. Research approach used is phenomenology. Researchsubject are headmaster and teachers. Data collecting methods are: in-depth interview, observation anddocumentation. Data analysis technique applies triangulation. The research result showed that 1) Source ofconflict, that is person or individual about differences in purpose, job (activity interdependence, difference ofvalues or perception about work load, and organizational about attainment of school programs; 2) Handling ofconflict is executed by constructing the side of related to conflicts, existence of communications to finalize activeproblem and role together, for example by the way of persuasion, drives a bargain, and self correction, and 3)Controlling conflict through competition, evasion, accommodation, compromise, and collaboration

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of self-awareness to mediate the effect of academic supervision of school supervisor and managerial skills of principals on teacher competence. The research method is quantitative research with path analysis. Samples were taken by using proportional random sampling of 198 respondents from 452 people who became teacher population. Results of path analysis with AMOS found that the direct influence of the academic supervision of school supervisor significantly to the competence of teachers and self awareness respectively 0.154 and 0.174. Direct influence managerial capacity principals are not significant to the competence of teachers. Hypothesis influence significant managerial skills principals to teachers’ self awareness to the value of coefficient are 0.289. Similarly, the effect of self-awareness hypothesis significantly to the competency of teachers with coefficient is 0.591. Self awareness as an intervening variable proved able to mediate significant effect relationship between exogenous variable to endogenous variable shown by the results of Sobel test.

Abstract

The existence of kepramukaan subject (scouting) is one of many ways to acquire vision and mission of PPKn FKIP UMS. The study found three major findings. First of all, the implementation of subject kepramukaan was related to responsibility and independency characteristic reinforcement held in first and second semester and followed by field activity in fourth and sixth semester. Secondly, students assumed that this subject was critical, especially on character building as a teacher candidate and extracurricular tutor at school. Thirdly, the alumni and stakeholders thought that Kepramukaan studies was very supportive in term of responsibility and independency character building and finally improve the graduate quality.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) analyze and describe the assessment of accounting learning conducted by high school teachers in Surakarta City-Central Java. (2) the development of lesson study based contextual accounting learning assessment. This study uses the research and development approach. Research subjects of high school accounting teachers in Surakarta City. Methods of data collection, interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use interactive analysis which includes data collection, data reduction, data display and verification. The validity of the data uses triangulation methods and sources. The results of the study indicate that the judgments carried out include affective assessment, cognitive assessment and psychomotor assessment. The evaluation of accounting learning in high school of Surakarta City for affective aspects are using two ways, namely the assessment of spiritual attitudes competency and social attitudes assessment. Assessment of spiritual attitudes uses self-assessment techniques. Social attitude competency assessment uses observation techniques, self-assessment journals, and peers. Assessment of accounting learning for cognitive aspects using tests and assignments. There are three learning assessments for psychomotor aspects, namely project appraisal, performance, and portfolio. Development is carried out on assessment instruments for both affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. The development of the affective aspect is carried out by the spiritual attitude competency assessment instrument and the social attitude competency assessment instrument with observation techniques. The development of cognitive aspects is carried out on the instrument for assessing cognitive aspects and the timing of the implementation of cognitive instruments. Development of psychomotor aspects is carried out on the implementation of psychomotor instruments.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the influence of choosing outstanding /nonoutstanding class variables, learning supporting equipment, study motivation,towards students achievement of economics lesson. Both partially or integrally.The kinds of research is descritive quantitative. Population used around 200 students, classVIII, SMP Negeri 3 Colomadu. Sample taking is 127 students, consits of 40 outstandingstudents and 87 non outstanding students by using proporsional stratified random sampling.Data collection by using questionaire and documentation, while data analysis used threeways anava techniques. The researcg result show that partially outstanding and nonoutstanding class choosing, students study motivation, learning supporting equipment usagehad influenced students study achievement, but altogether these variables did not influencethat students study achievement.

Abstract

Teachers who can help the leadership task optimally, it needs a leader who is able to direct and adjust the behavior of subordinates to achieve organizational goals to the fullest. This is a qualitative research, and an ethnographic design. Object of research are teachers of Watukarung elementary school. Interviewees in this study include the principal and teachers of Watukarung elementary school. Data collection are observations, interviews, and documentations. Validity data tested by triangulation. Site analysis Data. The results showed that: (1) the principal Watukarung elementary school in an effort to increase labor participation of teachers use a variety of styles in his leadership; (2) the principal Watukarung elementary school in an effort to increase labor force participation by using a democratic leadership style, discretionary, charismatic, participative and sometimes militaristic, it can be determined strategies undertaken; and (3) the principal of Watukarung elementary school in an effort increase in labor participation received very good response from teachers, school employees and even all citizens, it is because the principal made in accordance with desired by subordinates.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor dan menetapkan  rencana strategis yang tepat dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan di SMK Negeri 1 Sayung. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian R and D (research and development). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan obsevasi, wawancara dan FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Teknik analisis Matrik Perencanaan Strategis Kuantitatif (QSPM) digunakan untuk menentukan pilihan strategi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan strategi yang tepat adalah strategi integrasi vertikal. Strategi ini menghendaki agar sekolah melakukan pengawasan yang lebih terhadap kinerja sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan. Rencana strategis untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan adalah: (1)Mengoptimalkan implementasi Kurikulum 2013, (2)Melaksanakan diversifikasi kurikulum, (3)Meningkatkan komitmen seluruh warga sekolah, (4)Meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, (5)Mengembangkan kurikulum muatan lokal, (6)Pengembangan bench marking, (7)Mengembangkan kualitas dan kuantitas fasilitas pembelajaran, (8)Meningkatkan kualitas lulusan, (9)Meningkatkan pelaksanaan program Ekstrakurikuler dan program pembinaan kesiswaan, (10)Meningkatkan suasana ketentraman dan ketenangan belajar dalam mewujudkan ketahanan sekolah, (11)Mengefektifkan peran dan fungsi Komite Sekolah, orang tua siswa, dan masyarakat sebagai mitra kerja sekolah, (12)Meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pembiayaan pendidikan.

Abstract

Purspose of the study was to determine : (1) Describe the learningplan on applying MYOB version 17, (2) Describe theimplementation of learning to apply MYOB version 17, (3) Describethe evaluation of learning apply MYOB accounting computerversion 17 on accounting class XII students in SMKMuhammadiyah 2 Ngawi.This research is a qualitative descriptive study, the object of study is accountingclass XII in SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Ngawi. Data collection techniques used arein-depth interviews with a number of informants, observation and documentation.Techniques of data analysis in this study using the interactive model of Milles andHuberman. Test validity of the data in this study through triangulation techniques,sources and triangulation time.The results of research conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Ngawi shows that :(1) Learning begins with the preparation of teachers of in making teaching devicethat consists of several learning planning document accounting computerapplication owned by teachers, education calender, the annual program, thesemester program, syllabus development, lesson plans enrichment and remedialprogram. (2) Implementation of learning accounting computer applicationsimplemented in a computer laboratorium and claasroom space with time of 8hour everyweek of face to face learning every class. CTL-based learning methodperformed by the teacher is lecturing, discussion and assignment through directpractice of manvally then applied to computer. Media practice learning iscomputer with application software MYOB version 17 and Microsoft power pointused when presenting material to students. Infrastructure in the implementation oflearning is still lacking, resulting in students can not focus in practice. (3)Evaluation of learning is done in the form of formative and summative, materialarranged in the form of essay and about the practice of manual. Assessmentpractices applied to computer based on the achievement of competencies derivedfrom components valve of weight multiplied by a score components remedialconducted for students who has not reached the KKM.
