Abstract

This main research goal is to provide a knowledge or information about west java market, especially higher educational institution consumer for foreign higher educational institutions whom have plan to reach Indonesia higher educational market. This research investigated the relations among satisfaction, trust, and intention to persuade student candidate to continue their education to higher education. This research shows that trust has a relationships with intention to persuade, and shows that trust is a consequence of learning process satisfaction and physical evidence satisfaction, but not a consequence of faculty satisafaction. The results shows that students of university would like to persuade students candidates if they are satisfied with learning process and physical evidence, and these satisfactions are the antecendent to trust, so that trust is an antecendent to intention to persuade

Abstract

Three main issues which growing in Indonesia in the field of human resource management is: outsourcing, mergers-acquisitions, and contractual workers. These issues effect on job insecurity among workers in company. Job insecurity can decrease workers performance directly and company performance indirectly. Authors describe the practice of those issues in several companies in service industries. Authors give recommendation that organization should manage those issues by concern on motivation function through extrinsic and intrinsic motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Transformational Leadership and Organizational Culture into Innovative Behaviour in PT Bank Danamon Indonesia. Sample data were taken from questionaires that were distributed among employees of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia. Data were analysed with structural equation modeling (SEM). The result shows that transformational leadership and organisational culture have signficant impact toward innovative behavior in PT Bank Danamon Indonesia. It is advisable that further research might use more in depth information in order to have more comprehensive and significant information. The results of the t-test results of all the variables that affect the innovation, companies can improve organizational culture with a characteristic which is upheld by the organization and become a role model for the organization. Transformational leadership is concerned with the interests shared by explaining the importance of the company's goals so that members willing to subordinate his personal interests. In terms of internal and external situation of the organization, transformational used in terms of strategic and not raw.

Abstract

The Bank of Indonesia Certificate is one of monetary instruments that used by government to influence IDR Exchange Rate Movement Over USD. The purpose this research is to obtain the describe more detailed about influence Certificate Bank of Indonesia toward an IDR Exchange Rate Movement Over USD which try to give an information in a common manner to be concerned outsider espacially relate to government policy. This research using the secondary data with limit that analysis during 20 months that are from November 2005 to June 2007. In compile this thesis, the author carry out the causality relationship analysis (causality) with Granger Causality Test (GCT) and relationship closeness analysis which using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regresion analysis. The Granger Causality Test (GCT) analysis result explains that from analysis result obtained as model considered valid is the rate interest of SBI has influence toward an IDR Exchange Rate Movement over USD. This was proved on GCT test too much significant for Y = f (x) and not on contary X = f (y). The analysis result of Ordinary Least Square (OLS) was obtained Ftest (2,18) is 266,081 > Ftable 6,01. This means as variable an independent influence variable dependent. Beside that was obtained ttest 16,312 > ttable 2,21009 that mean the rate interest level of SBI has the influence signicant toward an IDR Exchange Rate Movement Over USD. Because the Certificate of Bank of Indonesia has negative influence towards IDR Exchange Rate Movement Over USD, the author suggests the Indonesia Government to defend and to optimalyze the existing instrument, so that the monetary condition is more controlled and the stability can be maintained.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find an empiric proof and analysis that stock return and financial performance of the companies could be improved through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Good Corporate Governance (GCG) at The Indonesian Capital Market. Populations of this research are companies that go public at Indonesia Capital Market. Technic Sampling used purposive sampling, and finds 62 companies. These companies then were divided into two categories according to its total assets. From its, 31 samples categorized as big companies, while others as small companies. And the hypotheses were tested using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS) program. The result showed that (1) CSR had a significant positive effect towards stock return in big companies categorized, while small companies categorized had a significant negative effect of it, (2) GCG had no significant effect towards stock return in both categories, (3) Financial performance had no significant effect towards stock return in big companies categorized, but it had a positive significant effect towards it in those small, (4) CSR had a significant positive effect towards financial performance in big companies categorized, whereas in small companies it could not be found, (5) GCG had no significant effect towards financial performance in both categories, (6) as well as the GCG had no significant effect towards CSR in both categories.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the business partner companies perceived of trust, commitment and relationship quality at PT. XYZ (a non bank financial institution). Theoritically, this research aims to provide empirical evidence of the influence of trust and commitment on relationship quality, and the mediation effect of commitment to the influence of trust towars the relationship quality. Data were gathered from 31 business partner companies of PT. XYZ. Multiple Regression/Path Analysis was used to test the hypotheses. Descriptive analysis shows that there is a high trust and commitment in business partner companies of PT. XYZ. They also give a high respons to the relationship quality. Regression analysis shows that trust and commitment influence the relationship quality. It also revealed that there isi mediation effect of commitment to the influence of trust towards relationship quality. This study has limitation by using respondent perceived only. This can be overcome by conducting comparative analysis using actual performance indicator evaluated by PT. XYZ.

Abstract

This research was conducted to provide empirical evidence about the effect of bank’s financial performance using CAMEL ratios (CAR, NPL, BMPK, BOPO, LDR), and SIZE as control variable toward bank’s bond rating in Indonesia from 2005 to 2009. The source of research data are financial reports obtained from Direktori Perbankan Indonesia and the source of bond rating data are obtained from official website of Pefindo. In data processing, researcher used ordered probit method analyzed using Eviews 4. From the research, it appeared that the capital adequacy and the size have positive effect toward bond rating. Asset quality, earnings, and liquidity have negative effect toward bond rating. There is no significant effect between management quality and bond rating. It can be concluded that the bond rating of banks in Indonesia from 2005 to 2009 influenced by capital adequacy, asset quality, earnings, liquidity, and size.

Abstract

This study proves that underpricing is a robust factor on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research examines the pricing of IPO, the allocation of shares to groups of institutional investors, the underwriter reputation toward underpricing, price stabilization and excess returns in three regression models and some sub models. Regression results provide evidence that the IPO pricing and allocation of shares to groups of institutional investors affect the underpricing. This evidence supports book building models that developed by Benveniste and Spindt (1989). This study provides evidence that underpricing has a positive effect on price stabilization. Underpricing is also a positive effect on excess returns. Expected proceeds are strong support factor explains underpricing as a central factor. Age and expected proceeds are the support factors, together with underpricing explain price stabilization. Partial price adjustement is support factor together with underpricing explain excess returns.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of safety climate on job accident at employees of PT. Panca Wana Indonesia with safety behavior as intervening variable. The research was conducted on supervisor and employees at operational and production department with a sample of 87 persons. The analysis technique used is a path analysis. The independent variable in this research is the safety climate (X), is the intervening variable safety behavior (Z), and the dependent variable is job accident (Y). Results of this study indicate that safety climate has direct effect and significant on job accident is proved, because it has a significance value (Sig) t 0,000 less than the significance level (α) of 5% t, and safety climate is proved has a effect on job accident with safety behavior as intervening variable, because the value of significance (Sig) t variable safety climate to safety behavior, and safety behavior to job accident are 0,000, is smaller than the value significance level (α) by 5%.

Abstract

Human resource is critically important aspect of organizations. The functions and roles of human resource have developed from administrative matter into supporting the organization to run the managerial and strategic processes. Expertise, knowledge, and experience of existing human resources in organizations should be suitable and allocated at the right time and place. By properly manage the human resources, organization would be able to obtain qualified human resources that have high commitment to organization. High commitment to organizations will lead to a higher effort in supporting organizational success. In order to gain employees’ commitment to the organizations, management should put some efforts that ensure all aspects of employees’ commitment are fulfilled. This paper is intended to find the significant influence of perceived organizational support (POS) on the dimensions of employee’s commitment, comprising of the affective commitment, continuance commitment, and normative commitment, and to find which one of those dimensions are dominantly influence by POS. This paper employed 50 respondents that were sampled using convenient random sampling. Result showed that there were significant influences of POS on employee’s commitment either in affective commitment. POS can influence the employees’ organizational commitment in all dimensions. This implies that in order to improve organizational commitment, management should provide appropriate managerial supports and ensure that the supports are in line with employee’s aspirations and needs.
