Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of cooperative learning of jigsaw method in social studies on student achievement of class III SD Pakualaman Bantul and SD Gandok Islamiyah in 2014/2015 school year. This research design uses quantitative research methods. Collecting data in this study uses the test method. The used test methods in this research are the pre-test and post-test given to the experimental group and the control group. While the data analysis is a statistical method t test (t-test).The results of data analysis t test (t-test) obtained value = 3.34. At the significance level (α) = 0.05 and with db = 38 obtained value = 1.6859. So that is 3.34 ≥ 1.6859, therefore Ho is rejected H1 accepted. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect on the use of cooperative learning of jigsaw model in social studies on student achievement of class III SD Islamiyah Pakualaman at school year 2014/2015.Keywords: Cooperative Model Jigsaw Type, Learning Achievement

Abstract

Profesionalisme dalam bidang pendidikan di negeri ini dari waktu ke waktu memperoleh tempat untuk dikembangkan, dan bahkan telah menjadi tuntutan. Berbagai cara ditempuh oleh para pengambil kebijakan di bidang pendidikan untuk mewujudkan tuntutan tersebut. Salah satu tuntutan tersebut adalah melalui program sertifikasi guru. Pelaksanaan program sertifikasi guru pada dasarnya mengacu antara lain pada Undang-Undang Nomor 19 Tahun 2005 tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan, dan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 74 Tahun 2008, tentang Guru, yang mengamanatkan bahwa guru wajib memiliki kualifikasi akademik, kompetensi, sertifikasi pendidik. Tujuannya sangat mulia, yaitu meningkatkan kualitas pengalaman berkarya dan berprestasi yang dicapai oleh masing-masing guru selama menjalankan tugasnya sebagai guru dalam interval waktu tertentu. Harapannya adalah setelah para guru memperoleh sertifikasi guru, sehingga disebut tenaga yang profesional, mampu memberi motivasi belajar siswa di sekolah, khususnya siswa sekolah dasar.Kata kunci: Profesionalime, Memotivasi Belajar

Abstract

Critical thinking in education has been widely practiced following the awareness that it helps a lot the students specifically in science subjects. In accordance with critical thinking ability in science, students who show ability on critical thinking will successfully cope with problems they encounter. Such ability hopefully works in their learning achievement. The objective of this research is to investigate the influence of creative and critical thinking on the achievement of the students of the Department of Primary Education IKIP PGRI Madiun in the class of Science Concepts II. The current study makes use of the descriptive correlational. As many as 191students enrolled the class of science concepts II in the academic year 2012/2013, out of 366 populations, serve as the sample through the proportional random sampling technique. Tests were administered to collect the data analyzed by applying descriptive analysis of double regression to assess the hypothesis in which SPSS PASW Statistics 18 was applied. Results show that there is significant correlation on the variables of creative and critical thinking on their achievement. The creative thinking contributes 20.13% while the critical thinking contribution is 21.53%. Other variables beyond this research contribute 58.34%.Key words: Creative Thinking Ability, Critical Thinking, Student Achievement

Abstract

The   goal   of   research   to   determin   the   relationship   among concentration  and  critical  thinking  with  learning  achievement  of grade V for the student SDN Manisrejo 1 Magetan. This research applies  descriptive  correlasional  and  expost  facto  method  with quantitative approach. The population of this research consist of 33 student. The result of the analysis show that: (1) there is significant relationship between the concentration with learning achievement by t (2,564), (p) 0,016; (2) there is significant relationship between the critical thinking with learning achievement by t (2,063), (p) 0,048; and (3) there is significant relationship between the concentration and critical thinking with learning achievement by F (10,802), (p) = 0,000. Abstract

Children are not only endearment but also the determinant for afterlife happiness. In addition, they are successors of the former generation, a family’s pride and evidence when humans are on the judgement day of yaumulmakhsyar. Such claims are available on holly scriptures including Al Quran. Since children are so highly valued, every single mother hopes to raise excellent children. In such perspective, pregnancy and child birth become among life cycles most paid attention to. A ritual for such event, tingkepan, is therefore, usually very well arranged to do. Parents, however, are advised to be well informed about the ritual to find bless rather than sins. They are to select values good for themselves as well as for their young such as through prayers in accordance with Islamic teaching and Javanese local wisdom. Both, Islamic teaching and Javanese local wisdom have been the worldview of Javanese ancestors who are faithful to Lord God.Key words: Tingkepan, Culture, Islam

Abstract

Educational assessment standards were prepared in order to complete the assessment standards. This study aims to describe the ability of teachers in assessment of thematic learning. Based on the results of the research, which shows the performance evaluation based on the curriculum 2013, has not been fully implemented by Shanta 1 SD Negeri Malang and MI Nurul Islam sub district of Tajinan. The obtained data will be very useful for determining measures or policies relating to the assessment standards, which in turn is expected to improve the quality of the school.Keywords: Assessment, Thematic Learning

Abstract

Supervisi pengajaran bertujuan mengembangkan situasi pengajaran yang lebih baik, membimbing pengalaman mengajar guru, dan membantu guru menilai kemajuan siswa. Pemberian motivasi supervisor kepada guru dapat menjadi potensi untuk peningkatan komitmen guru. Para ahli mengemukakan berbagai macam pendekatan supervisi dan dimensi dalam mengklasifikasi guru, sehingga supervisor dapat memilih pendekatan dan gaya dalam melaksanakan supervisi. Abstract

Miskonsepsi merujuk pada suatu konsep yang tidak sesuai dengan pengertian ilmiah atau pengertian yang diterima para pakar dalam suatu bidang. Konsep yang dibawa siswa diperoleh dari pengamatan atau pengalaman mereka di masyarakat atau dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Miskonsepsi pada siswa yang muncul secara terus menerus dapat mengganggu pembentukan konsepsi ilmiah. Pembelajaran yang tidak memperhatikan miskonsepsi menyebabkan kesulitan belajar dan akhirnya akan bermuara pada rendahnya prestasi atau hasil belajar siswa.Dalam pembelajaran yang berorientasi konstruktivistik, guru tidak hanya sekedar memberikan pengetahuan pada siswa, siswa harus membangun sendiri pengetahuan di dalam benak siswa. Implikasi dari pandangan konstruktivisme di sekolah ialah pengetahuan itu tidak dapat dipindahkan secara utuh dari pikiran guru ke siswa, namun secara aktif dibangun oleh siswa sendiri melalui pengalaman nyata. Peran guru otomatis berubah, dari sumber dan pemberi informasi menjadi pendiagnosis dan fasilitator, sehingga eksistensi dalam mendidik tidak terfokus pada pendidik melainkan pada pembelajar.Cognitive diagnostic assessment (CDA) atau penilaian diagnosis kognitif untuk pendidikan disusun untuk mengukur struktur pengetahuan secara khusus dan proses kemampuan siswa untuk menyediakan informasi tentang kelemahan dan kekuatan kognitif mereka.Kata Kunci: Tes Kognitif Diagnostik, Deteksi Kesulitan

Abstract

A  means  of  empowering  students’  self-potentials  is  through  art performance.  By  so  doing  they  may  get  first-hand  experience, knowledge, skills, creative thinking, and sense of beauty. Their sense of arts guides them to do their  works creatively, innovatively and aesthetically.  An art performance which can be taught  to them is dance. It helps them grow up and possess an awareness of multi-culture both locally and globally which in its turn creates actions for respect, tolerance and harmony amidst the multi-cultural society. The sort of dance taught could be those which do not require pains-taking movements, while the themes could be about plays, daily activities, or animals. Semut (ant) dance is an example. Through practicing it, they not only have fun but also learn how to cooperate. Accordingly, it can serve as a medium to get them develop their characters through good deeds therein. Among the characters they can learn are: (1) respect and polite; (2) cooperation (gotong-royong); and (3) adaptation. Key words: Semut Dance, Students’ Character Development
