Abstract

Abstract

Early reading is a stage of learning reading for elementary school students of early grades. They learn to acquire the reading skill and techniques  tosuccessfully  decode  passages.  Learning  atmosphere should be created through the language plays for reading. It goes with their characteristic of enjoying playing, Language playsplay a vital role to support their cognitive and social development. The current study aims to describe the process as well as the results of  early reading  through  a  language  play  at  early  grades  of  elementary school.   Qualitatively   approached,   the   current   study   involves participants  of  the  first  graders  of  the  elementary  school  SDN Bulakrejo Madiun.  Data  were  collected  through  observation  and documentation. Results show: (1) high achievement of average 80.7; (2) high enthusiasm specifically on the play batuloncatan (stepping stone); (3) the play could be carried out in and out of classroom and increasing their interest; and (4) headmaster, teachers and students appreciate the learning reading through the play. Key words : Early Reading, Play

Abstract

The parameter of the nation’s achievement is that of youth in the future, because maintaining the achievement is usually more difficult than fighting for it. Youth are young generation who are ablidged to maintain leadership and struggle to stay fit around the stricker competition in all aspects due to the higher velocity of service capital throughout the world, which influence the national integrity of a nation. This can only be resolved by producing human resource with high competitive advantage. Globalization has become the term to call a world condition which takes place without boreder. The globalization progress has evidently stood aside local wisdoms of a nation. Abstract

Multiple intelegensi ialah kecerdasan ganda yang dimiliki oleh seseorang. Intelegensi adalah sehimpunan kemampuan dan keterampilan. Multiple intelegensi terdiri atas sembilan kecerdasan, yakni: kecerdasan linguistik, logis-matematis, spasial, musikal, kinestik, antarpribadi, interpribadi, naturalis, dan ekstensial. Setiap kecerdasan memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda. Strategi pembelajaran berbasis multiple intelegensi merupakan suatu cara mengakses informasi melalui jalur intelegensi yang ada pada tiap individu. Mengaktifkan multiple intelegensi dari seluruh indra anak dapat dilakukan dengan melatih mendengar, membaca, keterampilan menulis, dan melatih kecerdasan yang berimbang. Penerapan teori multiple intelegensi dalam program pembelajaran dikembangkan oleh guru dengan berorientasi dengan siswa. Langkah dalam menerapkan strategi pembelajaran adalah memberdayakan semua intelegensi tertentu berdasarkan intelegensi yang menonjol pada siswa.Kata Kunci : Multiple Intelegensi, Strategi Pembelajaran

Abstract

This research aims to improve student achievement by improving the learning process using methods that make students more active in participating on social studies and improve the quality of teachers in the subject of social studies at MIN Manisrejo. This study uses a class action research design composing of two cycles and pre-action. In each cycle has steps of planning, action, observation and reflection. Research subjects used are IVC grade students of MIN Manisrejo consisting of 28 students. Learning model used is STAD, which is in collaboration with a social studies teacher IVC grade of MIN Manisrejo. The results showed that the STAD can be used as a means to increase student achievement in describing an overview of natural disasters in social studies, namely the average total score of 47.87 in the pre-action increased to 61.87 in the first cycle which uses only media images and the second cycle which uses STAD increased 74.8. Learning at the pre-action is considered ineffective, while the first cycle that uses media images is considered effective enough. The first cycle that uses STAD is considered very effective. Based on the research results, it can be suggested that in social studies learning at IV grade of MIN Manisrejo especially in subjects describing the causes of natural disasters using STAD. In addition, the results of study can also be used as guidelines for further research.Keywords: Achievement, STAD Learning

Abstract

Learning social studies in elementary dominated by the monotonous teaching methods, conventional and less effective, the teacher dominated learning, teaching by lecturing andrecorded material, and using instructional media. This needs to be an improvement oflearning. Researchers trying to implement cooperative learning methods through the mediagame of snakes and ladders as an attempt to create learning interesting, active, and canmotivate student learning. This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learningthrough the media cooperative game of snakes and ladders on learning outcomes of fourthgrade students in academic year 2014/2015 Tembi Bantul. The study population was allstudents in fourth grade Tembi as experimental class and fourth grade students Bangeran asthe control class. The samples were overall Tembi fourth grade students were 22 students andfourth grade students Bangeran as many as 11 students. This study design used quantitativeresearch methods. Collecting data in this study used the test method. The test method used isthe pre-test and post-test were given to the experimental group and the control group.Analysis of the data used is a statistical method t test (t-test). Results of the data analysis t test (t-test) obtained value = 12.7754. At the significance level (α) = 0.05 earned value = 2.0441.Then thitung ≥ t tabe is 12,7754 ≥ 2,0441, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. The conclusion of this study was the influence of cooperative learning through the medium of snakes andladders game on learning outcomes of students Subjects IPS in Tembi Bantul elementaryschool year 2014/2015.Keywords : Cooperative Model, Media Snakes and Ladders, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This research is the development of instructional media developed macromedia flash animation-based teaching model directly in SDN Mangkujayan II Ponorogo. Based on the research got enthusiastic excellent student this is evidenced by the results of the data questionnaire responses following students on learning to use media such as macromedia flash animation, developed the data obtained by 36 students (100% ) expressed interest. Data questionnaire responses of students to the language used in textbooks and media animation data obtained by 32 students (88.9%) expressed understandable and 4 students (11.1%) said it was difficult to understand. Data questionnaire responses of students to the illustrations in textbooks and media animation data obtained by 35 students (97.2%) expressed delight and 1 student (2.7%) were not happy. Mastery of student learning outcomes after the use of instructional media macromedia flash animation-based teaching model directly based on analysis of data on student learning outcomes results obtained by 28 students completed the individual, the individual is not finished 8 students from 36 students who take the post-test. Mastery of cognitive learning outcomes for students in classical 77.78%. Abstract

The purpose of this research is: to improve understanding of social problem concept of social studies through  applying cooperative learning model type think-pair-share in the students of Elementary School. This is classroom action research (CAR) with two cycles performed. Each cycles consist of four steps, there were planning, implementation of action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research is fourth grade students in Elementary School State 2 Kedungputeri Ngawi. Data collecting techniques in this research was observation, test, interview and documentation. For data analyzing techniques was reducing data, presenting data, and taking research conclusion or verification. The research result can be conclude that there is an improvement understanding of social problem concept of social studies in fourth grade students of Elementary School State 2 Kedungputeri Ngawi. On initial conditions, the class average value is 61,31 by the number of students who complete learned is 11 students (40,74%). In cycle I, the average value is 79,51 with students who complete learned is 22 students (81,48%). In cycle II, the average value is 91,26 with students who complete learned is 25 students (92,59%). Keyword: think-pair-share teaching, understanding concept.

Abstract

Language learning is aimed to achieve proficiency properly. To achieve objectivesof language learning cannot be separated from aspects of grammar. One way toachieve the grammatical aspect is by using a test. The purpose of language test isability and skill in language not knowledge about language. Range of aspects aremeasured based on the types of tests used in the test questions at the end of thelearning/ formative. This research aimed to determine language aspects tested at theend of each semester. This study used a qualitative approach and data sources in theform of the exam end of semester 1 and 2 grade 1 to grade 6. Techniques of datacollection is done by collecting data source in the field and read the data source.Data analysis phase consists of three stages: data reduction, classification,presentation of data and drawing conclusions.The results showed there were aspectsof language such as phonology, morphology aspect which consists of free and boundmorpheme, the process of reduplication or repetition, syntactic aspects that formphrases and sentences as well as aspects such as semantic meaning.Keywords: Final Exam, Linguistic aspects

Abstract

In a cooperative learning model, students tasked to construct their own knowledge under the guidance of a teacher who acts as a facilitator and mediator. One model of a cooperative learning is Group Investigation (GI). In its application, found the problem that made the implementation of classroom teaching and learning process is less than optimal. One of the problems that occur are not the evaluation in step group. By reviewing the existing theories and facts that are running in the field, has found a solution to these problems, resulting in improvements in learning steps GI. Key word : Problematics, Group Investigation, Troubleshooting
