Abstract

Many obtacles and problem for woman if use public transportation, including cost, policy, convenience and most important is the increasingly widespread violence on women in public spaces or public transportation, so it is necessary to conduct a study on public transportation for women. The objectives of this study is to obtain public transport modal choice model of women's. The method use in this study to conduct a survey respondent female passenger on social economic characteristics, trip characteristics and stated preference. The results from this research  is the selection of a model mode public transportation for women UAUP – UAU = 0,328 + 0,150 ∆X5

Abstract

The availability of information and communication technology such as Wi-Fi and electric socket on-board is expected to change consumer attitude and behaviour toward rail services as time spent travelling could be more productive and enjoyable. However, do the availability of Wi-Fi and electric power socket on-board were more importance than other performance attributes in consumers’ perception? This paper presents the result of an importance-satisfaction analysis of several attributes of train services in the UK. The study found that ticket price; reliability and seating guarantee were more importance than other attributes whilst Wi-Fi and electric socket were less importance. The results indicated that travel time use is just a complementary of the main objective of travel, which is to arrive at the destination.

Abstract

Intersection in Sidoarjo amount of traffic that has more than 5000 vehiclesper day that is the intersection Ngelom Rolak, Satria Ngelom intersection, and the intersection of New Marketpark. At the third intersection has the same condition, namely eksisiting trade area, with side barriers high. Metode used is survey research in the third intersection counting for 8.For the field survey is intersection Ngelom Rolak DS value of 1.55. For the intersection andt he intersection Ngelom Satria 1.530.68 Market New Garden. Alternatives are used to manufacture the intersection Ngelom Rolak is one-way street that is a new bridge for vehicles towards the old bridge to Surabaya and Sidoarjo direction, as well as widening the road. For Ngelom intersection Satria and New Market Parkalsomadeone-way street, so as to create a good integration.

Abstract

Walking is one of the short distance transportation activities for students of Universitas Indonesia. However, all around the campus there are still some pedestrian paths that are less maintained and connection-less than the rest. Knowing the existing condition of the current pedestrian infrastructure, factor in to the evaluation of the pedestrian pathways. This evaluation is necessary to determine the factors that influence the willingness of students to walk. This study uses survey and direct observation through the questionnaire given to the students of Universitas Indonesia. The results of the analysis based on the respondents' assessment variables for pedestrian infrastructure, indicates that the variable most influential is the facility itself, with a significance value below 0.01. As for the desire to walk away, the reliability of the walk way is the most influential variable with the significance values ​​below 0.01.

Abstract

Seatbelt is a passive safety equipment that has become mandatory equipment in a motor vehicle in accordance with the mandate of the law. Seatbelt main function is to protect the driver and passenger from impact in the event of an accident. However, there is still reluctance from the driver to use this device. This study aims to overcome the reluctance of the driver in use seatbelt when driving. The research process is done by making smart seatbelt to be activated if the driver does not use a seatbelt. The results of this study are a smart seatbelt control system on the vehicle so that the system does not turn on when the seatbelt is not used used.

Abstract

Costal area region has potensial economy development that based on commodity sector of that zone characteristic. Sea fishs commodity and its sea product in the costal area are potensial economy that based on the zone by development of transportation movement that based on production of sea product commodities. The commodity of the sea of sea fish and other sea product appropriate MP3EI certainty are one of commodity group principal and strategic goods in the regional internal region of central java province by mean in order to buffer reinforcement structure of economy need in the region on autonomous a scale. To know potential of coastal region movement based on production result by estimate movement generated model that based on sosio economic condition, transportation infrastructure and transport mode in that region. By multiple regression  analisis method to the movement generated model that analyzed based on socioeconomic, demography by dominant factor is input and output commodity variable plant kind commodity from various kind of sea fish commodity production and other sea product that is result in the zones at central java province region. The equation is adalah Ln Yi = 3,29 + 1,00 Ln X1 + 0,103 Ln X2 + 0,00410 Ln X3 + 0,0472 Ln X4 - 0,0006 Ln X5 + 0,094 Ln X6 + 0,0063 Ln X7 - 0,0748 Ln X8 - 0,0422 Ln X9 - 0,0192 Ln X10 + 0,0900 Ln X13by signification model R2 = 0.864. Based on movement generated model, trip distribution model can be develop, that result Tid = 22.496 – -6.4321 x 10-9 X by calibration value β = 6.4321 x 10-9 . Trip Distribution model of sea fish commodity and other sea product occurared to the higestst movement  distance between 100 – 300 km. Trip distribution method is done by comparative between unlimitation constraint of UCGR ang limitation trip genetation of PCGR. PCGR model has atendency to exact model on the trip distribution because by using that methode is the appropriated characteristic of central java region to rapid development of its commodity production.

Abstract

The number of accidents in railway crossings lately, is of particular concern for us to examine the phenomenon that the caused the accident, then we do research at railway crossings in the city of Tegal. Survey Methods used in this study is the direct observation. while Average Daily Traffic data (ADT) is used Secondary data, from the 2013 survey PKTJ Midshipman. In this study using the method of analysis "Before and After" The results of the analysis of three experimental treatments (30, 60, and 90 meters) to decrease violations on level crossings, the result  of the experiment that the ideal length of median which is used at rail way crossings on both Jalan A.R Hakim and Jalan Sultan Agung is 60 meters because based on the result analysis, it is more effective to decrease the number lanes violation than the median which length is 30 meters and 90 meters.

Abstract

Performance Based Contract (PBC) is one strategy to improve the effectiveness of road maintenance. PBC recently applied in Indonesia in 2011 and driven by Performance-Based Budgeting system. Through this budgeting system, expenditures for national road maintenance projects should be carried out as efficiently as possible and provide a long service life. But the national road agency still do not have an instrument that can be used to assess the efficiency of road maintenance costs for the project which will be delivered using PBC approach. Appropriate method used to assess the life cycle cost (LCC) efficiency of an infrastructure asset is using Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA).This study aims to develop an assessment framework to specifically assess LCC for road maintenance project which will be contracted usingPBC schemes. LCC assessment framework generated in this study takes into account the road agencies and road users cost, with input variables consist of road design, LCCA analysis period, the road performance prediction, and the road maintenance strategies.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan evaluasi struktural perkerasan lentur menggunakan Metode AASHTO 1993 dan AUSTROADS 2011, studi kasus yang dipilih adalah Ruas Tempino sampai Batas Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Data lendutan digunakan untuk menentukan modulus resilien tanah dasar dan modulus perkerasan pada Metode AASHTO 1993 dengan hasil tebal overlay yang bervariasi tergantung nilai SNeff per segmen, dalam Metode AUSTROADS 2011 data lendutan dipakai sebagai input proses backcalculation menggunakan Program ELMOD dan mendapatkan tebal overlay dengan pendekatan mekanistik memakai Program CIRCLY. Perbandingan Metode AASHTO 1993 dan AUSTROADS 2011 juga menunjukkan bahwa asumsi model lapis subbase dianggap tanah dasar atau tidak sangat menentukan nilai tebal overlay. Hasil tebal overlay berdasarkan kedua metode tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tebal overlay yang dibutuhkan dalam Metode AASHTO 1993 lebih besar dari Metode AUSTROADS 2011, khususnya pada ruas jalan Tempino-Batas Sumsel dan tergantung pada asumsi pemodelan lapis perkerasan.

Abstract

Transportation is one of the main points in fulfilling daily necessities of goods and services by using existing infrastructures for a particular purpose. Regency road is road that connected regencies or cities with the center of activities in an area. Development of regency road expected to gives contribution for development and equity of construction in that area. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of regency road network to support agricultural sector and to determine NPV value and BCR value of the eastern and southern ring roads of West Sumbawa Regency. Data used in this study is road length, population, and Gross Domestic Product of each production sector from 2008 until 2011. Methods used in this study are the Producer Surplus Method, NPV, and BCR. The analysis shows that eastern and southern ring roads that support agricultural sector in West Sumbawa Regency have a positive NPV value and BCR value is greater than 1, meaning that the road development is feasible.
