Abstract

The quality of performance of public transport of oplet operation keep on decline, in comfort aspects, safety aspects and also expansion of service coverage. Based on BPS data, in 2012, population of Pontianak city is 565,856 inhabitants, while the number of private vehicles 43,182 vehicles; or 1private vehicles per 1  inhabitants The aim of this study is to show that without restrictions of private vehicle ownership, restrictions on the use of private vehicle, and support to the provision of public transport services then the impact is service level of road network which becomes very low. This condition can be observed in some roads that faced severe congestion or have a high DS value. The lack of attention that the city government who should carry out the implementation of the Standar Pelayanan Minimal (SPM) further exacerbate the performance of the public transport network of transportation in the city of Pontianak, which is indicated by the value of total load factor of 0.26.

Abstract

The Service Innovation perspective is important for organization because it's necessary to make a sustainable business operation in the future.In the context of implementation of Technology Information, the perspective of Service Innovation is also important. This phenomenon has also occure to PT.KAI in their effort to change in development of Technology Information System facilities in their busines process. The purpose of this study is to understand the role of Service Innovation perspective driving in the implementation of Technology Information System (TIS) in organization of services and To understand how should have PT.KAI do to maintain and enhance the level of success in implementation of TIS facilities specific online ticketing base on the perspective of Service Innovation. In the process of developing a Service Innovation through implementation of TIS facilities, an organization must follow the base on theory Success IT adoption in Service Organization. Research Design base on qualitative research; interview and FGD are conducted to people who have passionate with train’s services by PT.KAI. The result from the empirical study showed there were several problems occurred although there are many improvements as well in the implementation of TIS facilities specific online ticketing by PT.KAI.

Abstract

Implementation of the contraflow special lane is expected to provide a solution to the lack of road capacity at the inner city highway (Cawang – Semanggi) during peak hour time. This research was conducted to find out and compare the performance  of the characteristics of the traffic flow between two points of observation (middle point and the exit after the contraflow special lane) in order to know the effectiveness of the contraflow lane. This research uses traffic survey by means of recording traffic condition in both points of observation to obtain more accurate traffic characteristic data. The analysis of traffic characteristic performance is conducted by comparing the results of the survey to the traffic parameters of standards from the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual and regulations from Bina Marga and Jasa Marga as well as the analysis through the relationship of traffic characteristics from Greenshields Theory to assess the traffic performance from both points of observation. The results show that the implementation of the special contraflow lane may decrease the degree of saturation from greater than 0.75 to less than 0.75 by giving the road additional capacity. This shows that the contraflow lane can be considered as an effective and worthy measure to ease the burden of the ever increasing number of cars passing through the toll road during peak hours.

Abstract

The strength of the surface pavement can be seen from Marshall Characteristics using Marshall test equipment. Equipment type for Marshall Test can be analog and digital. Digital test equipment using the computer system, and minimize operator/ laboratory intervention for maximum efficiency. The reading of the data was done manually on analog test equipment, so it is very dependent on operator skill. This study examined a mixture of AC-BC using analog and digital Marshall Test equipment, to determine result of Marshall Characteristic. Methods of Marshall Test, material test, mix of bitumen and aggregate follow the guidelines in the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). Results of preliminary test obtained optimum bitumen content of 6,75%, and then the sample is made of 28 pieces (2 x 14). The analysis results of the average difference in the two shows there is no real difference in the Marshall Characteristics of the testing results using analog and digital test equipment. Estimation results of Marshall Characteristics using analog test equipment acquired: stability = + 208,26 kg, Flow = + 0,29 mm dan MQ = + 40,07 kg/mm. Digital test equipment acquired: stability = + 175,47 kg, Flow = + 0,48 mm dan MQ = + 60,93 kg/mm.

Abstract

The driver is the person who drives a motor vehicle on the street who has had a driver's license (UU no.22 of 2009). In driving, the driver demanded highly concentrated and is always eager to deal with various situations on the road. This causes a disparate impact to the driver while driving the anxiety. In addition to the internal factors, there are several external factors that also cause anxiety while driving. Listening to music while driving is one that affects the driver's level of anxiety. The type of music you listen to is different and has different influences, rock types raise the level of anxiety experienced by the driver during ksperiment done, whereas the type of classical music and dance have actually lowered the anxiety level.

Abstract

Transportation needs will continue to increase along with the development of urban areas . If the transportation needs is not matched with the transportation infrastructure ( road network ) then the resulting transportation problem persists. To resolve the matter, should the holding of a good traffic management . From the results of the traffic survey was conducted over three consecutive days on jalan Pemuda , Paragon Mall frontage road segments at peak afternoon and through the analysis of performance data path , on jalan Pemuda , especially the frontage road segments Paragon Mall , which often occurs queue or delay vehicle as a result of the presence of obstacles samping.Metode used for analysis is the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual ( IHCM ) 1997. The results of the performance analysis of survey data for three days on jalan Pemuda was nearing saturation , ie with a DS of 0.551 , 0.504 , 0.520 as the influence of the side friction.

Abstract

Gorontalo Province has several material sources which are used as embankment material or base course. These materials have been exploited in large numbers each year to fulfill the infrastructure needs especially the highway. The large numbers of needs causes the decrease of material deposits in Gorontalo province.  If there is not any effort to look for the alternative material sources, it is feared, in the future, this region will bring the materials from other areas which of course will need a quite high costs. Over the years, the taking material only focuses in Pilolalenga, Alopohu, Molintogupo, Botumoito, Randangan, Bumela and Bone River, while many other locations have the potential to serve as alternative sources of highway materials. Besides the huge number of materials need, the problem that commonly faced in several districts of Gorontalo province is the use of material specification. For example, some districts are still use the general specification 2007 as the reference, while the general specification 2010 has existed. The research used Tras Lompotoo as fine aggregate and gravels which were taken from Bone River as coarse aggregate. The method of research was experiment research. The tests included water content, gradation, Atterberg limits, abration, compaction, and CBR. The research result showed that the gradation composition that fulfilled the general specification was 30% of Tras Lompotoo : 70% of Bone Gravels. CBR unsoaked value was 70%, CBR soaked was 27%, while γd max = 2,07 gr/cm3 and wopt =6,00%. The comparison only gave properties value in general specifications 2007.

Abstract

School Safety Zones (ZoSS) which has been implemented in several schools in Yogyakarta are not functioning optimally. These facilities aim to reduce vehicle speed when crossing on this zone, so that the safety of the people who crossed on this zone will increase, especially for school children. In Indonesia, the roads are designed with different functions with different speed limit, so it is important to study the performance of these ZoSS facilities on the each road function. This study compares the speeds of vehicles in ZoSS on each road functions and characteristics of pedestrian when they cross the road. The results of this study showed that the speed of vehicles on each road functions are still above the expected maximum speed at ZoSS set by the Ministry of Transportation. The majority of pedestrian behavior in an unsafe condition.

Abstract

Due to improper public transport services in Banda Aceh City, most students tend to use motorcycle for daily activity, in particular to school. Those who use public transport are rarely found. As a result, it will contribute to traffic congestion. This study aimed to investigate mode choice model of students to school. The location takes place at Kecamatan Meuraxa, Banda Aceh City, limited to high school students that use motorcycle and public transport to school. Primary data was done by conducting home interview survey. The method used were binomial logit difference and ratio take into account  travel time, cost and waiting time as the independent variables.  The results showed 67% students used motorcycle to school, and those who have SIM C was about 59%. Both models showed, when the cost of both modes are equal, about 50-60% of students used motorcycle to school.
