Abstract

Salt of Madura is a unique product and dominates in the local and regional markets. It is the result of sweat and sweat from local youth in seeking and living life. The process of using salt additives is an idea that arises because naturally the people of Madura have used it, which is adding trusion in terms of facing the water process that it has. The sea water that experiences the process of adding additives has the highest NaCl, ceramics land 96.02%, LDPE land 95.72% and soil area 93.81%. Whereas those who were not treated had lower NaCl, 93.94% ceramics, LDPE 92.65% and soil 87.78%. And for some treatments for some treatments heavier than others, namely ceramic additives 47.65 Kg, additive LDPE 49.15 Kg, and additive soil 32.50 Kg. While the soil that is not treated is mostly lower in salt, non-additive ceramics 46.75Kg, non-additive LDPE 50.75 Kg and non-additive soil 26.95 Kg.

Abstract

Student quality of Science education program  in the University of Pancasakti Tegal which is prepared to be science teacher candidates in junior high school in the future needs to be enhanced, because they must improve student scientific literacy ability.  Students were expected to have scientific literacy competence and advanced in internet technology. Thus, research objectives were determining validity, reading level, and module effectiveness. It was development research. Subject of this reasearch is Students of Science Education study program in University of Pancasakti Tegal, semester IV, 2017/2018 academic year. The first step was fulfilling validity criteria, reading level and then trying out to determine learning effectiveness. Data analyze used judgment expert method, t-test and gain test. It concluded that the Integrated Science digital module based on scientific literacy was valid for learning with a score of 26 (high), easy understanding in reading level , it was useful to enhance cognitive learning outcome students that  could be seen from classical learning outcome total of experiment class of 82.35% and control class of 52.94%. Gain result and t-test showed that there was a significant difference between experiment class and control class, it was 4.057, gain test for experiment class was g = 0.31and control class of g = 0.24.

Abstract

The characteristics of the Pancasila values of the younger generation in the present era are depleting. This can be seen from the emergence of cases that occur now, from radical understanding to the Caliphate. The results of the Republic of Indonesia's National Police study stated that many students were involved in radical groups, generally science students. In this regard, efforts need to be made to improve the characteristics of Pancasila in science students. The purpose of this study is to develop, determine validity, and the level of readability of the School Science Material study module characterized by Pancasila. This research is a development research. The research subject was the science education student at Pancasakti University Tegal. The research steps include needs analysis, development stage, the process of making the School Science Material Study module characterized by Pancasila, validation by validator, evaluation, and refinement, product testing, final product module, School Science Material Study, characterized by validity and readability. Validation was done with an expert validator. Limited scale testing is used to test the level of readability. The results of the research in the form of the development of the School Science Material Study module characterized by Pancasila, the subject of Electricity and Magnetism, which has high validity and an easily understood level of readability.

Abstract

Assessment and evaluation must always be carried out. The evaluation process is one of the teacher's tasks that will determine the direction of the next learning process. Therefore, the teacher must be skilled in compiling the question test instrument, one of which is a matter of description. Regarding this objective, teachers need to be equipped with ways to prepare these instruments so that the quality of the questions made meets the standards and by the indicators of learning. Briefing on the science teachers MGMPs Kediri shows that teachers already have skills in preparing the description of the test instrument with a percentage of 53.12% about the level and 46.88% HOTS LOTS level. Based on the results, the skills of science teachers in Kediri District are not expectations.  The teachers must continue to practice in making the test instruments.

Abstract

Red ginger (Zingiber officinale var. Rubra) is one of the leading commodities producing essential oils and oleoresins. In red ginger cultivation, several obstacles were encountered, including the fungus attack, which caused rotten rhizome, so that the nursery process failed. Generally, fungicides are given to control the fungus. However, chemical fungicides can harm health and the environment. Therefore natural environment fungicides are needed. PGPR has antifungal activity.  It can use as a natural fungicide. This study aims to determine the antifungal activity of PGPR against fungi that cause rotten red ginger rhizomes in the nursery process using doses of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The results, the 75% PGPR dose, give the highest average inhibitory zone to fungi causing rhizome in red ginger but not significantly different from the 100% dose. Furthermore, at a dose of 75%, the resistance of fungal growth amounted to 26.7%. The use of PGPR at appropriate dosages will induce the growth of fungi that cause rot in the rhizome of Red Ginger.
