Abstract

Nutrient Contents in Sapihan Baby Food From Jalar Sweet Potato With Green Peanut Combination and Ambon Banana. This research aims to detect nutrient composition of sapihan food shaped jalar sweet potato cracker with green peanut treatment and Ambon Bananathat allocated for children under five with make use food source exist in Nusa Tenggara Timur. This research is supposed can increase product added value, power saves,  and nutrient value in order to increase family  nutrient  fulfillment  especially  in  children  under  five,  increase  economy welfare and family social and society.Research method that used complete random plan (RAL) factorial pattern with 2 factors. First factor that is green peanut that consist of 3 level that is: 25%,50%, and 75%. second factor Ambon banana consists of 3 level that is: 12,5%, 25% and 37,5%. Effort is repeated as much as 3 times. Research result data is cultivated, then analyzed to use unity test (anova). Furthermore treatment difference at test with difference smallest real (BNT) in standard 0,05.To detect influence from each treatment, so observation towards cracker characteristics is done to pass objective test that is calorie, protein, vitamin A and vitamin C with water contents.Green peanut treatment and Ambon banana towards baby cracker from jalar sweet potato flour in best objective analysis that is: 1)Sum of calorie in green peanut treatment 25% and Ambon banana 12,5% (K1P1) is 531,862 cal/100 gr, 2)Protein contents  in  treatment green  peanut  75%  and  Ambon  banana  37,5%  (K3P1)  is 11,627%, 3)Vitamin A contents in green peanut treatment 25% and Ambon banana 12,5% (K1P3) is 2505,99 micro gr/100 gr, 4)Vitamin C contents in green peanut treatment 25% and Ambon banana 12,5% (K3P1) is 126,258 micro gr/100 gr and 5)Water contents in green peanut treatment 25% and Ambon banana 12,5% (K1P1) is 5,81087%.Keywords: nutrient, sapihan food, jalar sweet potato

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the quality of oocytes produced by Kacang goat based on reproductions cycle per ovary. Ovaries were obtained from the slaughterhouses in Kupang. The oocytes were collected by aspiration method, then selected based on quality. The result showed that 300oocytes from 47 ovaries, then grouped into quality of A, B, C, and D, have the average weight with reproduction status of1,56g (+CL+FD), 1,50g (+CL-FD), 1,45g (-CL+FD), 1,45g(-CL-FD), respectively. The percentage of oocyte with quality A, B, C, and D between reproduction status (+CL+FD)(+CL-FD)(-CL+FD)(-CL-FD) (7,3%, 21,05%, 13,6%, 32,63%); (8,2%, 10,3% 20,6%, 53,6%); (7,69%, 7,69%, 41,02%, 43,58%); (7,2%, 10,14%, 33,3%, 49,2%, recpectively). There is no significant difference (P>0,05) between the quality of oocytes from different ovarian status.It can concluded that the average weight of Kacang goat ovaries were 1,45-1,56g.The ovarian reproductive status does not affect the quality of the oocytes. Key words: Reproduction cycle, oocytes quality, ovaryKacang goats, Kupang city.

Abstract

Improving Needs of Infant’s Nutrient by Exploiting House Lawn for Cultivating Vegetables Organically U5sing Limited Water Irrigation System at Delonix Regia Posyandu, Lasiana-Kupang. This activity aimed to increase the read ability of Delonix Regia Posyandu participants to market opportunity, and to provide their skills capability in cultivating vegetables organically using limited water irrigation system, in order to increase their infant needs and family income. By this activity, the participants may provide high quality vegetables and fruits for people, increasing their income, retaining nutrient of their infant, and assisting local government in rising achievement of “Tiga Batu Tungku” program (that is health, prosperity and education). The methods in this activity were discussion, learning by doing, and fieldtrip. The result indicated that the participants positively responded in cultivating vegetables organically with limited water on their house lawn for fulfillment needs of their infant’s nutrient and their additional income. In the perspective of educational, social cultural and house lawn property, the participants following up this activity were 35%.Keywords: infant’s nutrient, house lawn, vegetables

Abstract

Level of Biosecurity Application on Big Scale Piggery in Noelbaki village, Central Kupang sub distiric, Kupang distric. Classical Swine fever is one of swine diseases that often occurs in East Nusa Tenggara and is recognised as an endemic disease in Timor Island. This disease is also known as Hog cholera since it gained entry in the island of Timor in 1997 and has caused economic losses, which is believed as a result of low level of biosecurity application on farms. This research was aimed to identify level of application of biosecurity on farm level. Purposive sampling was our sampling method used, where all commercial pig farms in Noelbaki village involved in the survey. The research results showed that there were some variables of biosecurity applied in low level courses such as closed to small scale pig farms, use of wheel bath for trucks at the entrance of the farm and desinfection of trucks. Some biosecurity parameters had low scores, thus, it affected the low level of biosecurity.Keywords: Biosecurity, Piggery

Abstract

Using quality seeds could increase crop production, including kidney bean, "Inerie", cultivar. The qualified seeds providing enough food supply in the endosperm as a primary energy for a normal and strong germination (viability) and seedling growth (vigor). Seeds from harvested yield are stored for the next planting season. During storage the quality of the seeds will be deprived physically, physiologically and chemically, impact on the production. One way to overcome the drawbacks of the deteriorated seeds is by osmoconditioning using Polyethylene Glycol solution. Osmoconditioning strongly influenced by the osmotic potential and duration of osmoconditioning. The results showed that: 1) Osmoconditioning using PEG-6000 during invigoration affect the electrical conductivity and the chemical content of seeds, which has been deteriorating during 1 year storage; and 2) There is an interaction between osmotic potency and duration of osmoconditioning using PEG-6000 in relation to the electrical conductivity and chemical composition on the seed during 1 year storage. -1.0 MPa with 1 hour osmoconditioning gave the best effect on the electrical conductivity, the levels of free fatty acids and P-total of the “Inerie” seeds.Keywords: Kidney bean, osmotic potency, duration of osmoconditioning, deterioration, Polyethylene Glycol.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the level of energy and protein consumption, share of food expenditure and the level of food security of ganyong farmer households in Japan Village Dawe Sub District Kudus Regency. The basic method in this research was descriptive analysis. Determination of location samples and respondents was done by purposive sampling technique. The total respondents were 26 ganyong farmers in Japan Village. The data used is primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the average energy consumption of ganyong farmer households was 1,947.73 kcal/person/ day and protein consumption was 59.04 grams/ person/day. Household expenditure consists of food expenditure and non-food expenditure. Ganyong farmer household food expenditure share is 48.9% while the share of non-food expenditure is 51.1%. This case shows that ganyong farmer households have high welfare or food sufficiency. The condition of food sufficiency of ganyong farmer households in Japan Village based on their level is food resistance by 53.8%, food insecurity by 11.5% and food shortages by 34.6%.

Abstract

The research is experiment in laboratory with using semen from 3 Priangan rams. The experiment use completely Randomized Design (CRD) of 4 x 4 Faktorial with three Priangan rams as replications. The treatment are equilibration time as first faktor with level 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours, and freezing time as second faktor with level 4 minutes, 8 minutes, 12 minutes, and 16 minutes.The variable observed is sperm motility, sperm abnormality, sperm membrane intact and sperm macrodome intact after thawing. Data was analysis by Analysis of Variance and further analysis by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT).The result of experiment show that treatment between 3 hours equilibration and 12 minutes freezing time are the best significantly influence (P 0>01) with significantly (P >0,05) with significantly interaction between two factors on sperm motility, sperm membrane intact and sperm macrodome intact after thawing but there is no interaction(P<0,05) for sperm abnormality after thawing.Keywords: Equilibration, freezing, frozen semen.

Abstract

The partnership scheme is a kind of cooperation between business with the farmers in term of livestock business management. The partner farmer groups act as plasma, while the partner of companies act as core. In the broiler partnership, the partner or core companies provide farming production facilities such as DOC, feed, medicines, technical supervising and product marketing, while the plasma provide the chicken house and worker. The research was conducted to evaluate the performance of broiler chicken farmer an income with partnership system. Total respondents were 122 farmers who joined to broiler contract farming. This sampling was conducted using by proportionate stratified random sampling. The results of the research showed that the depletion, body weight, FCR and PI was significantly affected on income but harvesting day isn’t significant. The lower the depletion, FCR or the higher body weight and PI, made higher the income level.

Abstract

Agricultural development aims to increase production to strengthen food availability in order to meet the basic needs of the community in terms of quantity, quality and affordable prices, increase farmers' income by developing agribusiness-oriented farming systems. Food crops are strategic and attractive commodities in relation to the issue of increasing production and guaranteed availability. Food needs continue to increase in line with increasing population. Therefore it is necessary to research on the analysis of the development of food crop commodities using the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis and then to formulate a food crop development strategy that is owned by Rote Ndao District. This research was conducted in Rote Ndao Regency starting from March-October 2018. Data were collected in the form of secondary data and primary data. Data collected in the analysis using Location Quotion (LQ) analysis is then performed with a SWOT analysis to formulate a development strategy. Results obtained: Average food crop production can be explained that each district has a superior commodity (one district and one commodity) based on the highest LQ value, namely: lowland rice commodity in Lobalain sub-district, Paddy fields in Southwest Rote sub-district, Lobalain and Central Rote, Corn in the North West Rote sub-district, Peanuts in the North West Rote sub-district, Green beans in the North West Rote Sub-district and sweet potatoes in the North-West Rote sub-district. The priority strategies that can be carried out in the development of superior food commodities are optimizing agricultural land, diversification of farming in production activities and post-harvest processing activities to absorb available labor, cooperation between marketing of agricultural products, application of farmer selling price information systems, training in eradicating pests and diseases naturally, dealing with droughts and floods, providing online market systems. Keywords: Analysis, Development, Food Crops

Abstract

Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) is one type of fertilizer that is currently an alternative fertilizer that is widely used by the community. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the quality of liquid organic fertilizers made from the fermentation of the basic ingredients of the Mimosa pudica Linn. Using several types of bio activators.The study used a two-factorial completely randomized design (CRD). The treatment factors were the type of liquid fertilizer organic matter (A) and the microbial starter (B), there were 6 treatment combinations and was repeated 4 times with a three-day variable observed pH, temperature, color, and aroma descriptive organoleptic test. After becoming LOF, the content of N, P, K, C-Organic, Fe, and Pb were analyzed. The results of the analysis showed that the temperature and pH of the finished liquid fertilizer reached 29-31 ° C with a pH of 4. The K content in the liquid fertilizer was higher when using a mixture of canopy and root of the daughter of shame. The C-Organic content in liquid fertilizers is relatively the same. The color and aroma quality of all treatments were the same as well as the P. content. Fe and Pb content were classified as very low as required in liquid fertilizer products. Keywords: shy daughter Plants, Bio activators, Fermentation, LOF.
