Abstract

Fine motor skills are an important aspect in early childhood development, but are often not optimal due to limited interesting and effective learning methods. This study aims to analyze the effect of ecoprint activity-based learning media methods on fine motor skills in early children. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design using two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group with a sample size of 20 children. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test which is a non-parametric statistical test. The results showed a significant increase in children's fine motor skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. In the experimental group, 60% reached the category of "very well developed" on the indicators of eye-hand coordination, movement accuracy, and self-expression. Ecoprinting activities involving natural materials such as leaves and flowers have been proven effective in training children's fine motor skills through a fun creative process. Therefore, this method is recommended for early childhood learning to improve children's fine motor skills, creativity, and environmental awareness

Abstract

The increasing exposure of children to digital environments necessitates integrating digital literacy into educational materials. However, the Gambar Lucu Mika book, designed for early literacy development, lacks essential elements of digital safety, prompting the need for content redesign. This study aimed to enhance the book by incorporating digital safety concepts aligned with the pillars of digital literacy: Digital Skill, Digital Ethics, Digital Culture, and Digital Safety. A research and development approach were employed, involving an initial content analysis, expert validation, and iterative revisions. Data were collected through document review and expert evaluation, analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The redesigned textbook introduces interactive scenarios, guided activities, and quizzes to teach these concepts effectively. Expert validation confirmed that the new design is relevant, practical, and feasible for elementary school use. The study concludes that integrating Digital Safety into educational materials is essential for equipping young learners with critical online security skills. This research contributes to the development of more comprehensive learning resources and offers a replicable framework for integrating digital literacy into primary educationrds.

Abstract

The development of speaking and listening skills in early childhood is crucial for cognitive and social growth. Big book media, with its large visualizations and interactive narratives, serves as an effective tool for engaging young learners in language development. This study explores the role of big book media in enhancing speaking and listening skills, identifying both opportunities and challenges in its implementation. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the PRISMA method, 12 relevant articles published between 2019 and 2024 were analyzed. A qualitative thematic analysis was conducted, applying strict inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure research alignment. Findings indicate that big book media fosters engagement, encourages participation in discussions, enhances speaking confidence, and improves comprehension through visual storytelling. However, challenges such as insufficient teacher training, a lack of culturally relevant materials, and limited resources restrict its widespread use. In conclusion, while big book media is a valuable tool for early language development, addressing these challenges is essential to maximize its effectiveness in diverse educational settings

This study aims to describe the implementation of ethical considerations and professional responsibilities of educators in early childhood education. This research was conducted about 3 months at the end of the odd semester of the 2024/2025 school year at Dharma Wanita 2 Sawahan Kindergarten, Trenggalek, East Java, using a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and school documentation, which are thethematically analyzed through data condensation, categorization, and conclusion drawn. The validity test of the data was carried out by member checks and extension of observations. The results of the study show that educators consider ethics reflectively by prioritizing the comfort, rights, and needs of children in the learning process. Teachers' professional responsibilities are reflected through open communication with parents, an empathetic attitude towards children, and dialogical problem solving. The applicable code of ethics not only serves as a written rule, but is also manifested in the school culture built through the example and support of the principal. This study recommends the integration of professional ethics materials into the Early Childhood Education teacher education curriculum and the strengthening of real-case based training so that teachers are able to make ethical decisions in daily practice. These findings are expected to be a reference for other Early Childhood Education institutions in forming an education system based on moral values and professional

Abstract

This study aims to explore parents' perceptions of nutrition intervention programs in supporting the cognitive and social development of early childhood at the An Nur Early Childhood Education Institution in Malang Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design and involves 10 parents selected through purposive sampling based on their level of active participation in the program and diversity of backgrounds. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, direct observation of daily PAUD activities, and program documentation. Analysis was conducted using thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns and main themes. The results of the study indicate that parents perceive various benefits from the nutrition intervention program, including improved immune system, learning concentration, and children's social skills such as sharing and empathy. However, challenges remain, particularly in maintaining healthy eating patterns at home. Parents also suggested nutrition training, cooking activities, and regular health check-ups as forms of ongoing support. This study emphasizes the importance of a collaborative approach between parents, teachers, and institutions in the success of nutrition intervention programs, and provides practical contributions for PAUD institutions seeking to adopt similar approaches.

Abstract

Parents who are having children at a young age at this time tend to be those belonging to Gen Y and Gen Z. It's assumed that this generation belongs to the technologically literate generation. In reality, however, many parents still believe and apply beliefs or myths considered local wisdom in raising their children. Even though they belong to a sophisticated generation and are technology users, many of them still use the beliefs of previous generations in raising their children. One of these beliefs is traditional games. This research aims to investigate how millennial parents stimulate their children's growth and development through the use of local wisdom, especially traditional games. The research sample consisted of 150 millennial parents in the area of Jakarta - Bogor – South Tangerang – Tangerang City - Bekasi (Jabodetabek), Indonesia. This research uses a survey method. The 6-question questionnaire was distributed through G-form platform. The data was analysed qualitatively through grouping on the basis of similarity of responses and simple quantification with percentages. The research findings indicate that: 1) there are still parents who use local wisdom, especially traditional games, as a strategy to stimulate some of their children's growth and development; 2) the local wisdom that is applied is mostly the experience of their parents; 3) the strategy implemented through trial is flexible; 4) each parent has different strategies for the same local wisdom; 5) the main obstacle is the interference of other family members in the application of local wisdom to children. The implication of using local wisdom, especially traditional games, is that parents and other family members need to cooperate and agree when using traditional games to stimulate early childhood development

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the availability and use of Educational Game Tools (APE) in the center of religious moral development in Early Childhood Education Institution (PAUD) in Indonesia. The data used comes from the 2022 National APE Availability Dapodik system, which records information related to the availability of APE in various provinces. The findings show that APE that focuses on morals and religion (Imtaq) has a lower level of availability compared to other types of APE, with significant differences between regions. Central Java Province recorded the highest number of Imtaq APE, while provinces such as Gorontalo, Riau Islands, Maluku, and Southeast Sulawesi showed very limited availability. In addition, the results of the study showed that private kindergartens tend to have more Imtaq APE than public kindergartens, indicating different priorities in the procurement of learning tools. Various challenges, including teachers' lack of understanding of the use of APE in religious learning, limited school budgets, and the lack of policies supporting the procurement of APE based on morals and religion, were identified in this study. Although APE has a crucial role in learning religious values from an early age, its availability still needs to be improved. Therefore, this study recommends policy support, training for teachers, and innovation in the development of APE Imtaq to improve the effectiveness of religious moral learning for early childhood in Indonesia
