Abstract

The aims of the study is to examine the notion that work stress and motivation have a significant impact on employee job satisfaction. In this study, 148 front office employees from some service companies of creative industries participate to the study. Data collection is done by direct observation and interviews. Analyses were performed using factor analysis, reliability, descriptive, classical-assumption test prior to the multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the job stress and motivation has a significant impact on employee job satisfaction. Another interesting finding of the study is the emergence of stress that is caused by many factors, including the burden of the task given by the management that can not be resolved in time, the workload is too heavy given by the company for employees and must be resolved as soon as possible.

Abstract

Young generation are the group of people who are expected to become the successor and actor who contribute in solving society problems, among other issues related to economic welfare. Youth engagement in entrepreneurial activity becomes an important contributor in minimizing unemployment. Interest of youth towards entrepreneurship be the first step in building and developing businesses in the group. On the other hand there is a presumption that the young generation today is considered more interested in jobs outside of entrepreneurship, in particular the work as an employee in an organization. Based on these disparities, the study aims to: (a) analyze the perceptions and interests of youth on entrepreneurship, (b) analyze the factors related to interest youth in entrepreneurship, and (c) to analyze the needs of the youth entrepreneurship development. The writing method using a review of research results, which come from researchers themselves and other studies. The results showed: (i) There was variation in the perception and interests of youth on entrepreneurship, (ii) There are internal factors of youth and environment that relationship with the interest of entrepreneurship (iii) Development of interest of youth in entrepreneurship requires an integrated approach between formal, non-formal and informal learning.

Abstract

Aging is a normal process, as inevitable biologicalphenomenon. Generally, this process characterizedby a decrease in the ability of resolution, regeneration, and reparation of cell and tissues, So,those cells and tissues cannot function properly andits will grow up and die.(1) WHO reports that thepopulation of elderly people worldwide increases by1.7% annually, whereas the population of peopleaged ≥ 65 years old increases by 2.5%. WHOclassified the elderly based on their chronologic/biologic state in 4 groups: (1) the middle age ranged45-59 years old, (2) the older/elderly age ranged 60-74 years old, (3) the advanced old age ranged 75-90years old, and (4) the very old age over 90 years old.Generally, elders ≥ 65 years old have healthproblems as effects of aging process. That meansthey need to have a special concern about theirhealth condition include in dental care.(2,3)Low, systemic and progressive chronic inflammationin elderly age is called inflammaging. This conditioncan occur as the effects of injury on cells andtissues.(4,5) There are some factors that cause injuryon cells, such as; hypoxia, chemical materials (toxins, drugs), physical agents (mechanical trauma, temperature, sudden changes in atmosphericpressure, radiation, electrical potency), microbiologyagents (virus, microbes, fungi), immune systemdisorder, genetic disorder, or malnutrition. Whenthe cells got injuries, there are some possibilityreactions on cells and tissues, e.g. retrogressivereaction, progressive reaction; and adaptationreaction. The main cause and the response towardsinflammaging that linked to illness are stillunknown.(6)

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) infection is one of the majorpublic health problems in developing countryincluding Indonesia. The endemic of TB infectioncaused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis becameworse because of the multidrug-resistant TB (MDRTB).M. tuberculosis had special feature which isits cell wall or envelope that consists of complexlipids, lipoglycans and peptidoglycans (Forrelad,2013). The cell wall consisted of two layers, theinner and the outer. The inner consisted ofpeptidoglycan sacculus veiled bymycolylarabinogalactan polysaccharide layer. Theouter envelope consisted of trehalose 6,6′-dimycolate (TDM; cord factor) which wassynthesized by fibronectin binding protein (fbp)/antigen 85 (Ag85) complex (Elamin, 2011).The Ag85 complex was a 30–32 kDa proteinconsisting of three proteins (Ag85A, Ag85B, andAg85C). It had several functions, includingenzymatic mycolyl-transferase activity for couplingof mycolic acids to cell wall arabinogalactan, cordfactor biogenesis (trehalose-dimycolate), and hadcapacity to bind to fibronectin and elastin of theextracellular matrix proteins (Huygen, 2014). Thisprotein were encoded by three paralogous geneslocated in different regions of the bacterialgenome (D’Souza, 2003). The Ag85 complex wasthe major secreted protein of M. tuberculosis cellculture besides of its association with bacterialsurface. It had essential role in the pathogenesis oftuberculosis. The ability of this protein to bindfibronectin promoted M. tuberculosis adhesion tothe mucosal surface, thus facilitating the bacteriato entry into the host cell. However, the main roleof it to the virulence of M. tuberculosis was theability to synthesis of cell wall lipids (Forrelad,2013).Ag85A (fbpA) was part of the antigen 85 complex. It had several functions including as thetriacylglycerol synthase and might have the keyrole in stability of cell wall and storage compoundsbiosynthetic for the survival of M. tuberculosisduring the dormant state (Elamin, 2011). Belisle etal. (1997) studied the role of Fpb proteins in thevirulence of mycobacteria using M. tuberculosisH37Rv fbpA mutant and suggest that the Ag85A(fbpA) would be essential in the virulence of M.tuberculosis. The study by Elamin et al (2011) hadthe same result that Ag85A might be the key playerfor formation of lipid storage bodies and thus alsoessential for the establishment and maintenanceof a persistent tuberculosis infection.Ag85A and Ag85B are among the most promisingtuberculosis vaccine candidates because theirability to induces T-cell response and production ofIFN-γ (Huygen, 2014). The T-cells epitopes of theAg85A have been identified. (Ivanyi, 2014). The Bcellepitope of Ag85A have rarely investigated. Thus, this study is aimed to predict the B-cellepitope of Ag85A. The result of this study will beuseful for investigation of the immunogenicity andantigenicity of Ag85A antigen.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the optimization potential of the Youth affect the development of the village Silomukti in Situbondo. Analysis of the data in this study through the work process analysis consists of three flow of activities, such activities are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Youth has a strategic role in the development of social welfare because of the presence of Youth which was nearly all the villages / wards in direct contact with social welfare issues as well as potential and other social welfare resources. The government realized that without public participation impossible social problems can be dealt with, for it is expected the participation of all potential and social welfare resources including Youth. But behind its potential, the role of today's youth tend to be barren. Lack of sufficient productive activities that make the existence of the existence of the Youth to be just another big name youth organizations. Weak institutional board of the Youth in optimizing the potential of its members into the most prominent problems in Karang Taruna. This is compounded by the lack of bargaining power that seemed promising at this youth organization, so that the younger generation can not see the importance of the existence of this organization.

Abstract

Cocrystal is a relatively new solid form of activepharmaceutical ingredient that offers an alternativeplatform in improving physicochemical properties ofactive pharmaceutical ingredients Padrela et al.,2009; Mashhadi et al., 2004. Cocrystal is defined asa stoichiometric multi-component system connectedby non-covalent interactions where all thecomponents neutral and solid under ambientconditions Thakuria et al., 2013. Cocrystal can beconstructed through interaction hydrogen bonding,pi-stacking, and van der Waals forces  Mashhadi etal., 2004. A pharmaceutical cocrystal is composed ofan API and an appropriate coformer as carboxylicacids and amides Qiao et al., 2011.Cocrystallization of active pharmaceutical ingredientis an opportunity for enhancement of importantphysiochemical properties of an activepharmaceutical ingredient without changing itsmolecular structure Maeno et al., 2014.Atorvastatin Calcium (AC), ([(R-(R*,R*)]-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-beta, delta-dihydroxy-5-(1-methylethyl)-3-phenyl-4-[(phenylamino)carbonyl]-1H-pyrrole-1-heptanoic acid), calcium salt (2:1)trihydrate ([C33H34FN2O5]2Ca.3H2O), is considered asone of the most effective of synthetic lipid loweringagent Shete et al., 2010. The drug is orally used toreduce of total cholesterol, low density lipoproteinand triglycerides Anwar et al., 2011. There are 42crystalline structures of AC Shayanfar et al., 2013.However, chance to create AC into another crystalstructure to improving physicochemical properties ofAC is still fully open Chadha et al., 2012.In the present study, we explored cocrystallization ofAC by solvent evaporation method. This study aimedto confirm whether AC was able to form cocrystalwith malonic acid (MA) as coformer. AC-MAcocrystal was prepared by solvent evaporationmethod by using methanol as solvent.Characterization of cocrystal was done by powder Xraydiffractometry (PXRD), differential scanningcalorimetry (DSC), fourier transform infrared (FTIR)spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).

Abstract

Based on the results of IDHS 2012 showed for thefirst time for 7 times IDHS since 1987, Indonesia TFR(Total Fertility Rate) figures currently show adownward trend, but settled (stagnant) in the figureof 2.6 per woman until 2012. [1] The IDHS resultscan be seen in Figure 1.Figure 1. Tren TFR Indonesia, 1991 – 2012 (IDHS 2012)Figure 1. shows that the TFR of 2.6, which meansthat every woman until the end of her reproductivelife on average have 2.6 children. It has the potentialoccurrence of higher birth rates in the comingdecades. Results Demographic and Health Survey2012 showed that the TFR in East Java today hasincreased rather than IDHS 2007 of from 2.1 to2.3.[2] Considering this, the family planning programneeds serious attention, given the increase ofpopulation in Indonesia requires the setting andsubsistence good and decent. The success in theimplementation of family planning programs isinfluenced by several factors. Presence Extension FPand the support of government / local governmentsis crucial. Besides the role of the public to participatedirectly in the program is also a key to the success ofthe program. Participation of the community asparticipants in the program experienced afluctuating conditions, when at this time arerequired to be more independent in getting familyplanning services. Funding for family planningservices should be paid by the communitiesthemselves. On the other hand, after the economiccrisis hit the country, resulting in the price of goodshas increased and lower purchasing power. Thisgives a huge impact on society, especially inspending money and setting priorities in thehousehold. This will lead to two possibilities weredone by the people, namely, the first is a higherincidence of drop-out users of contraceptives andthe second is a change in use of contraceptives fromeffective to ineffective. Moreover, the existence ofsubsidies for contraceptives at this time is verylimited. FP independently be one option for peoplewho want use FP including for people in rural andurban areas. Conditions rural and urban havedifferent characteristics. The rural tends to beholding culture / customs, do not easily accept newthings, facilities and infrastructure is not as completeas in urban area, education is still relatively low. [3]Gresik district is one of district in East Java with theachievements of TFR were categorized high at 2.20in 2012. Even in 2013 based on data reportsacceptors in East Java Legislative BKKBN (2013) theaddition of new family planning acceptors is quitelow at 15 % compared to other districts. Therefore, it is necessary to study the conditions ofrural and urban communities in Gresik inIndependent Family Planning (FP).
