Abstract

Indonesia is mega diversity country with25.000-30.000 plant species has 6.000 species ofmedicinal plants [1]. One of potential plants to beexplored as medicinal plants is banana. The plantfamily Musaceae, composed of bananas, plantains, and ornamental bananas, originally evolved inSoutheast Asia and surrounding tropical andsubtropical regions. More than 145 million tons ofbanana and plantain were produced worldwide in2011 according to FAO estimates. Banana are grownin nearly 130 countries. In addition to fruit, bananasand plantains provide many cultures with medicines, beverages, fibers, edible floral parts, dyes, fuel, steam for cooking, cordage, wrapping materials, etc[2].Bananas are among the world’s leading foodcrops, after rice, wheat and maize. Banana is dessertfruit that its edible part is pulpy, firm to tender, freefrom seeds or pips, and has a characteristic flavour.Plantain is a cooking banana subgroup. Plantainresemble banana but are longer in length, have athicker skin, and contain more starch. Most dessertbanana cultivars in the world are AA or AAA, this lastgroup includes almost all the cultivars sold to exportmarket. Cooking bananas, often named plantains, are mostly AAB, ABB, or BBB [3,4].Banana and plantain are important staplefoods in many developing countries, especially inIndonesia. Musa are rich in vitamin C, B6, minerals, and dietary fiber. They are also a rich energy source, with carbohydrates accounting for 22% and 32% offruit weight for banana and plantain, respectively.People annually consume 28 kg of banana andplantain per capita, or 155 kg per year, or almost halfof 1 kg per day. Four African countries have thehighest per capita consumption of banana/plantainin the world, with Uganda having the highest [2].Recent knowledge diet may modulate variousfunctions in the body and may play detrimental orbeneficial roles in some diseases. Foods areexpanding from emphasis on survival, hungersatisfaction, and preventing adverse effects toemphasizing the use of foods to promote a state ofwell-being and better health and to help reduce therisk of disease. The study investigated thebeneficial/healthy

Abstract

Disorders caused by iodine deficiency remains aglobal health problem in the world with a prevalenceof 30.6% in 2007 (De Benoist et al., 2003; De Benoistet al., 2008). The causing factors are not only limitedto iodine deficiency. Instead, other factors of IDD aregoitrogenic substances; one of them is thiocyanateresulted from cyanide detoxification. The workmechanism of thiocyanate disrupts thyroid functionby inhibiting the uptake of the iodine and interfereswith the thyroid peroxidase (TPO) activities (Gaitan,1990; Taurog, 1970; Van Etten, 1969; Stoewsand,1995; Virion et al., 1980 cit Chandra & Ray, 2001;Chandra et al., 2004; Delange, 2000; Erdogan, 2003;Gibbs, 2006; Sinebeeh, 2007; Semba & Delange,2008). In addition, small amount of cyanide is alwaysavailable in many kinds of plants commonlyconsumed by community. Goitrogenik source foodsare easily accessible by the community because theprices are cheap or they can be self-planted (Nio,1989; Chandra et al., 2004).Some studies mention that most of the goitrogenicsubstances do not cause clinical effects except theyare going along with iodine deficiency. Therefore, the consumption of goitrogenic substances becomesetiologic agent in an endemic area (Zimmermann etal., 2008). Jember is one of regencies in East Javawhich experiences an increase in TGR from 21.94%in 2003 to 23.57% in 2007. Most of its districts areincluded in the category of endemic goiter area(Jember regency Health Department, 2007). Theresults of previous studies made by the researchersshow that goitrogenic substance as a causativefactor of IDD in Jember, through one of theindicators of urinary iodine levels, is included in thecategory of normal and tend to be high. In addition, urinary thiocyanate levels goiter group are higherthan those in non-goiter group (Ningtyias, 2006;Ningtyias et al., 2007; Ningtyias et al., 2008).Consumption pattern of goitrogenic source food inJember of at least 3-5 times per week with anaverage consumption of 505 μg per day is a riskfactor of IDD in Jember (Megawati, 2007; Ningtyiaset al., 2008). The existence of these substances willdisrupt the process of the formation of thyroidhormones; therefore, it needs to be eliminated, orthe levels are reduced, so that the food ingredientscontaining goitrogenic substances are safe forconsumption. This study used local wisdom to solveproblems of nutrition, that is, one of the habits ofpeople in Jember to boil vegetables for freshvegetables for overcoming nutritional problem ofIDD because the boiling process can reducecyanogenic levels up to 93% (Murdiana, 2001). Bythe decrease in cyanogenic levels, it is expected thatgoitrogenic substance intake into the body willdecrease indicated by the decreasing biomarkers ofgoitrogenic substance of urinary thiocyanate levels.

Abstract

Tomato extract was known contains manyantioxidants (Chauhan et al., 2010), such aslycopene, that are easily degraded by UV-B rays. Themechanism lycopene as an antiaging is to reduceskin regeneration and increase the thickness of theepidermis (Sahasrabuddhe, 2011). As anantioxidant, lycopene easily degraded when exposedto light, heat, and oxygen (Chauhan et al., 2011).Drug delivery system based on nanolipid carriersystem, such as: Solid Lipid Nanoparticles (SLN) wasappropriate to stabilize lycopene, as lipophilicsubstance (Wissing and Muller, 2003; Helgason etal., 2009; and Okonogi dan Riangjanapatee, 2014).One of the limitations of SLN is the drug moleculethat has been trapped expulsed easily duringstorage. It is caused of the orderdness of lattice lipidcrystal. Replacement part of solid lipid using liquidlipid (called as nanostructure lipid carriers or NLC)can reduce the orderdness of lattice lipid crystall andit will repaired it (Kaur et al, 2015).In this research have been tried to be compared theability of SLN and NLC to improve the stability ofantioxidant tomato extract. Using 20% total amountof lipid, extract tomato-SLN made from cetyl alcoholas solid lipid and extract tomato-NLC made fromdifference ratio between cetyl alcohol and isopropylmyristate (IPM) such as: 9:1 and 7:3. Tween 80 andKollipor were used as surfactant and co-surfactant.IPM was choose because of its enhancer andemollient effect so easily to apply to the skin(Vadgama et al, 2015).

Abstract

Data from Jember District Health Office of 2004 untilDecember 2015 retrospective case series of HIV andAIDS reach 2309. The risk factors of HIV and AIDS arehighest, heterosexual (2007 people), Gay (155),injecting drug users (57 people), perinatal (66).Blood transfusion (4) and bisexual (2 people). Whilethe group of age with HIV and AIDS is highestproductive age is the age of 25-49 years, 20-24years, 15-19 years. Looking at the data above can beseen that the greatest number of cases that are inthe productive age and heterosexual. Heterosexualactivity can occur through sexual behavior. Whileheterosexual actors not only in pair remains couldalso be on the couple did not stay so can be called asa free sex. The perpetrators are non-sexual is notonly found in locations diinikasikan as a place ofprostitution although the county Jember. Certainjobs in the informal sector can not be deniedcontributor numbers of cases of HIV and AIDS. Likeas Female Sex Workers either directly or indirectly.Heterosexual activity can occur through sexualbehavior. While heterosexual actors not only in pairremains could also be on the couple did not stay socan be called as free sex. The perpetrators are nonsexualis not only found in locations like aprostitution. And Dakocan one of informal sector. This is because the work activities that are in acoffee stall selling coffee and peddle an informalsectorThe phenomenon of "Ngobar" or drinking coffeetogether that appears to be a new history that hasbeen reconstructed, not just the level of socialorientation, aesthetic pattern and a distinctive style, but now more and more functions get their ownspace in the hearts of people of various ages fromteenagers to the elderly. In addition to affordable, aesthetic value "coffee together" is also a form ofentertainment that is irreplaceable from public life.Coffee culture, especially drinking together is notonly in Indonesia whose territory coffeemanufacturers such as Tulung, Aceh, Jogjakarta,Ponorogo, Bali and various other areas but haspenetrated almost all areas especially crowdedbecause of his public activity included in Jember.Coffee is not just a hobby or pleasure alone, insidefrequent exchange of information and discourse, even common knowledge development cooperationagreements ranging from advanced appointmentuntil contract signature that produce economicvalue. [Thohirun et all, Proceedings Symposium ofNational A Health Communication]. There are manycontributing factors causing this culture grown toinclude activities other than just drinking coffeeespecially sex activities. These factors can also beformed reciprocally.According to psychologist Albert Bandura, reciprocaldeterminism is a model composed of three factorsthat influence behavior: the environment, theindividual, and the behavior itself. Essentially,Bandura believes that an individual's behaviorinfluences and is influenced by both the social worldand personal characteristics [Bandura, Sociallearning theory]. The environmental component ismade up of the physical surroundings around theindividual that contain potentially reinforcing stimuli, including people who are present (or absent). Theenvironment influences the intensity and frequencyof the behavior, just as the behavior it self can havean impact on the environment. The individualcomponent includes all the characteristics that havebeen rewarded in the past. Personality and cognitivefactors play an important part in how a personbehaves, including all of the individual'sexpectations, beliefs, and unique personalitycharacteristics. And finally, the behavior itself issomething that may or may not be reinforced at anygiven time or situation. So, Based on the preliminarystudy, the researchers have wanted to analyze howdeterminant reciprocal of dakocan. And this reasonas well as the aim of this study.

Abstract

Information Systems Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Compliance (CPFR) is increasingly used to improve supply chain performance. This study uses panel data to examine the learning curve CPFR between PT. Seed Citra Asia, and one of the partners in the field distributors. Identified two key components of CPFR, namely Colaboratif Forecasting (CF) and Colaboratif Replenishment (CR), shows a different learning curve. There is an increased forecasting accuracy immediately after execution CPFR but the rate of increase slowed from time to time, while inventory levels increased initially and begin to decline after a certain period. There are different learning effects in terms of inventory levels when the product is then replaced with a second product. The second product has a lower inventory levels than earlier products.

Abstract

The government made policies to reduce poverty in a variety of programs. The purpose of this study was to determine the various poverty reduction programs in various countries with literature and comparative studies on poverty reduction programs in Indonesia. Program comparison is the impact of KALAHI-CIDDS in the Philippines, TASAF II in Tanzania, Nigeria and the Fadama II PNPM Mandiri and PKH in Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that there are good and bad of the various programs. Almost all programs have an impact on the decline of social capital in the community, the groups that make poor people more exclusive, and the lack of synergy between the program with local government policy.

Abstract

Structure modification made in designing new drugs,by changing the structure of the lead compound.Changes in the structure of a compound would alterthe physicochemical properties including lipophilic, electronic and steric properties of the compound(Korolkovas, 1988; Siswandono, 2014). Changes inphysicochemical properties would lead to changes inthe activity of each compound (Hardjono et al,2016). Molecular modeling through in silico test is atest that is done through computer simulation.Molecular Modeling is used to predict a new drugcandidate compounds to be synthesized. This testwas performed in order to improve efficiency in theoptimization of the activity of the lead compound(Topliss J.G., 1988, Istyastoro 2007; Jenzen 2007,Kumar C.S, 2013, Dyah N.W., 2016).Some derivatives of 1-(Benzoyloxy)urea showedcytotoxic activity and predicted could be used asanti-cancer drugs (Hardjono, 2012; Hardjono 2016).Mechanism of action of urea derivatives including 1-(Benzoyloxy)urea was by inhibiting the action of theenzyme ribonucleotide reductase. This in silico testresearch done by docking the compound whicgactivities to be predicted using MVD (MolegroVirtual Docker) program. The target cell used indocking was 2EUD, a ribonucleotide reductaseenzyme crystal I, which forms a complex with thederivative 1-(Benzoyloxy)urea. 2EUD chosenbecause it was the target cell from Gemsitabin whichwork mechanism similar to urea (Xu H., 2006). Fromin silico test would be obtain Rerank Score (RS)values, which was the bond energy between theligands and target cell. Small RS value indicated thatthe bond energy needed between the compoundwith a target cell was also small. The smaller thebond energy indicated that the bond was morestable. The more stable binding of ligands to thereceptor, it could be predicted activity will be evengreater (Hardjono, 2012).In this research would be done molecular modelingof twenty-four 1-(Benzoyloxy)urea derivatives. Thein silico test result was an image that showed thehydrogen bond, Electrocic and steric interaction aswell as the value of RS from 1-(Benzoyloxy)urea andits derivatives. Of the entire RS values obtainedwould be seen 1-(Benzoyloxy)urea derivates whichhad the smallest RS value or

Abstract

Dengue had became a major public health problemin Southeast Asia, which seem to be seriouslygrowing in the future. Outbreaks were happened in2013, several evidences suggest that it were widelyunrecognized, much has been unreported and theamount of budget often not enough for running theeradication program.1Surabaya and Jakarta were two areas first reportedoutbreak of dengue fever in 1968. The following yearthis disease became epidemic which appearsannually with the outbreak pattern occurred everyfive or ten years. 2Based on East Java Province Health Department, inthe beginning of 2015 have been reported 1,817cases of dengue fever. This case increased by 85.4%from the previous year in the same month, i.e.January 2014, which only reached 973 cases. 3The concept of social capital widely addresseddirectly relates to the role and function ofcommunity health in providing health promotionwhich stressed the significance of participation, community capacity building, achieving thecommunity health promotion by collective actionand empowerment.4 Putnam and other scholarexplain that participation was very important in avariety of networks and see that social capital canhelp their collective action to achieve the goal ofgood health through the paths of individual socialcapital and social capital as a collective attribute. 5, 6,7According to the initial assessment at Tegalan, therewould be three level of dengue prevention andcontrol problem, which are at individual level, neighbourhood and community level, and intersectorallevel. These three level later on revealdifferent aspect of dengue management situation. This study tries to describe the existence ofcommunity social capital regarding dengue feverprevention and control in Tegalan sub-district,Surabaya.
