Abstract

An automobile spare parts shop at first having its sales increased. But, in 2008 the store experienced a significant decline in sales, so that the purpose of this study was to determine how much influence store image and customer trust on customer loyalty. This type of research is associative descriptive research. Data collection is conducted using questionnaires using Likert scales to 100 shop. Technical analysis is conducted using several techniques, which are Test Validity, Test Reliability, Test Normality, and Path Analysis. Results show that customer loyalty is influenced by greater consumer confidence than the image of the store. Therefore, PT Sloka Kencana Abadi must continue to improve the image of his shop by looking for a more strategic location making it easier to attract new customers, set prices according to the quality of the product and prices set by the competitor, maintain the quality of the product in the sense that the product is durable and free from damage, providing many choice of products making it easier for consumers to find the required product, and maintain these.

Abstract

Well-managed tourism will be capable of contributing to the increase in local revenues and be capable to attract investors and open up jobs. Lack of socialization of the tourism potential in a region becomes an obstacle for investors to get involved in it. This research aims to identify the business opportunities of tourism industry and potential of tourism industry in South Jakarta. Data are obtained from the Suku Dinas Pariwisata Jakarta Selatan and analyzed with descriptive statistical methods. The results show that Setiabudi District has an opportunity for hospitality business; Mampang Prapatan, Pasar Minggu, and Kebayoran Baru District have opportunities for recreation and entertainment business.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is determining direction of the correct business strategy to be applied by PT CTL, a garment company producing cloth for men. Research method used by the author is descriptive analysis with a case study research method. Research is conducted by collecting data obtained through survey by interview and giving questionnaire to all staff and head and also observation by evaluating directly the research object and also through literature study. Data analysis is conducted through input phase by using IFAS and EFAS matrix, adaptation phase with TOWS diagram, TOWS matrix and Internal-External matrix, and also uses SPACE matrix and also BCG matrix to analyse company's finance situation. Based on the conducted analysist the recommended corporation level strategy to be used by the company is diversification strategy direct to growth and stability.

Abstract

This study aimed to build a prospective management model of sustainable tour packages in PT. Golden Rama Express. Given the complexity and the many interrelated factors in the performance management packagetours, it is necessary to approach a holistic system. First, the method used in developing the performance management model is a sustainable package tour and, second, using prospective analysis. Determination of the attributes that reflect the sustainability performance of the tour package is based on field studies. Based on the four dimensions of sustainability, namely the dimensions before the trip, during trip, etc., and the tour leader aredetermined as much as 23 attributes. Attributes in four dimensions for each package tour Junglelicious Africa, Asia Splendid, Adventurous Australia and New Zealand, Europe Romantical and Marvelous the U.S. and Canada. After obtained the level of sustainability index values of each dimension that can be categorized into the not sustainable until very sustainable values of the index, combination of these factors forms the basis of development models.. Based on the scenario that was built and in order to achieve the ideal scenario is the recommended scenario is the optimistic scenario.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine what contributions are provided by PT Indah Kiat Plup and Paper Tbk Serang Mill on the community and local government through the participation of Public Relation, especially in terms of education. The study is conducted from September 2009 until February 2010. The results showed that the community around the company has a large and direct impact on overall corporate performance. Community economic development in terms of education is a part of a Community Relation program conducted by the firm and has provided benefits to the community. Some suggestions for input to the company, includes optimizing the use of internal media organizations, granting broader authority for Public Relation so that they can better support the performance and needs of the company

Abstract

This research examines the effect of innovation strategy towards operational performance of manufacturing companies in Sulawesi. Dimensions of innovation strategy are leadership orientation, process innovation, product innovation, and implementation of innovation. Operational performance is measured by using productivity, volume of production defect, warranty claims cost, quality cost, and full on time delivery to consumers. Data collecting was conducted through questionnares, which consisted of 63 respondents. Data is processed with multiple regressions. Results of this research indicate direct significant effect among the dimensions of innovation strategy to the operational performance of manufacturing companies. But not all of them have an effect on operational performance of the manufacturing company. Process innovation, product innovation, and implementation of innovation give significant effect to the operational performance. Leadership orientation does not give significant effect to the operational performance of the manufacturing companies in Sulawesi.

Abstract

As the number of global internet users increases, companies’ online advertisement expenditure also grows rapidly. Companies face challenges in targeting the right customers. Understanding which websites are often visited by target users and what they do on the internet will help companies direct their online advertisement to the right target. Using questionnaires, this study examines which sites are most often visited by Indonesian young adult internet users and what they do on the internet. It aims to understand the patterns of behavior of these users. The findings of this study provide some understanding to the marketers. Of consequence, such understanding would help them to select where and what to do with their advertisements when they are targeting the young adult internet users in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of cost, productivity of assets and capital structure of an automotive company's profitability. This study focuses on the productivity of assets which include factors such as operating leverage, sales, inventory turnover, net working capital, liquidity, receivable collection, fixed asset ratio, and total asset turnover. Capital Structure includes the degree of financial leverage. Profitability factor in this study includes operating margin, return on assets and return on equity. Sample used are 45 automotive industry companies who have registered and still active until December 31, 2009. The statistical methods used in this research are classical assumption test, f test and t test. This study indicates that inventory turns, liquidity, receivable collections and, the ratio of fixed assets have a negative outcome to the total asset turnover, while net working capital has a positive outcome. Operating margin and total asset turnover both have positive values that have an impact on return on assets. Capital structure and degree of operating leverage both have negative results on the turnover of capital, while return on assets have positive results.

Abstract

Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is a momentum indicator to determine the indication of the trend reversal point. Williams% Range is also a momentum indicator that can provide when reversal trend will occur. This analysis will use the data movement of stock prices for PT Tambang Coal Bukit Asam Tbk. (PTBA). PTBA stock prices are influenced by fundamental conditions such as limited supply of fuel which is rumored and coal is the main alternative fuels other than oil. Study period was 241 trade days. Data are analyzed in several periods and then fitted with the MACD indicator and Williams % R, then simulate the trade during the period of research studies to determine the level of trading profits or losses based on the combination of both these technical indicators. The conclusion of this analysis, the MACD is an indicator that is considered slow (lagging) in giving an indication of weakness, but in reverse the MACD is considered to provide an accurate indication of where the indication given is rarely wrong. Williams% R is an rapid indicator in anticipation of a reversal trend, but these indicators often give a false indication since this indicator is quite sensitive to the movement of stock prices goings go up or down.

Abstract

Women have a responsibility to meet the basic needs of families, when the husband has not been successful in adequately meeting family needs. Micro credit is taken from the method of Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM), and applied in Petojo area, Central Jakarta. AIM Registration need women as participants in the micro-credit. This process begins with data collection on testing the ability of debtors, make arrangements for borrowers to work properly and return the loan. Implementation took place in a period of 1 year and micro- credit borrowers are selected from low economy class community. Before granting loans, microcredit and financial records training implementing agencies provide religious discourse about trade. The meeting between executives and micro-credit borrowers are held every week, the show began with a reading of the pledge, read the Koran and religious lectures. The desired results of this activity is full loan repayments, improved morale, improved family economy, but the reality is not as expected, honesty issues, decreased productivity and have became a boomerang for micro credit in Petojo area. Criteria for successful micro-credit application is simple, namely the intention to repay debt with honesty, and good effort in improving the quality of life.
