Abstract

Along with the development of the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015, Indonesia is required to generate professional human resources in order to compete with other countries, particularly subject to competition in the services sector. Hotel is a product in the hospitality industry that have an important role in the tourism business.Intense competition in the hospitality industry demand the hotels to provide the best service to the customers. Vocational education has a function to prepare a professional and competitive workforce in the industry. The hospitality graduates will be able to fill the existing organizational structure in accordance with the educational background. The Presidential Decree No.8, 2012, Article 5 states that equalizing learning outcomes generated through education with the level of qualification at KKNI. KKNI is intended as a description of outcomes that must be mastered by graduates of vocational education, higher education, vocational training institutions as well as independent study. Graduates of Vocational and D3 of hospitality began  their career in the hospitality industry by filling the positions in the organizational structure. In a few of star hotels in Medan, North Sumatra, hospitality graduates of vocational and D3 have competitive power in a very thin difference. Their entry level almost similar to the same position as well as employability skills and technical competence are almost equal that will provide a gap between the educational background of the career pathways that exist in the world of hospitality. It is very wise if there will be collaboration between the hotel industry, the educators, community leaders, and high-level policy makers in generating strategies to enhance the competitiveness of human resources professionals in the hospitality and placed in accordance with the level of education based KKNI.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kenyataan adanya tuntutan kompetensi peserta didik atau lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan harus sesuai dengan tuntutan lapangan kerja. Peserta didik harus diberikan pengalaman belajar yang sesuai dengan tuntutan dunia usaha dan industri. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengetahui kesesuaian lulusan dengan tuntutan lapangan kerja dibutuhkan alat penilaian yang dapat mengukur capaian kompetensi peserta didik yang sesuai dengan tuntutan kompetensi kerja, sehingga capaian kompetensi lulusan memperoleh pengakuan dari pihak dunia kerja (stakeholders). Atas dasar pemikiran tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan merancang bangun model Holistic Assessment pada uji kompetensi keahlian produktif Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Rancang bangun model dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development.Sesuai dengan tahapan penelitian dihasilkan luaran sebagai berikut: 1) Model Holistic Assessment pada uji kompetensi keahlian produktif Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan, 2) Alat penilaian model Holistic Assessment pada uji kompetensi keahlian produktif.

Abstract

This research aimed  to analyze and describe the mastery of the vocational high school student’s to basic competencies in writing CNC programs through the implementation of competence-based lesson plans,  with the cognitive aspect at understanding level, the psychomotor aspect  at guided instruction level, and affective aspect at responding level. The number of samples in this study are 33 students. Research carried out by using the method of quasi experiment research The data was analyzed using means, deviation standard,  percentage, and Normalized N-gain. The results showed that the mastery of the vocational high school student’s for basic competencies in writing CNC programs through the implementation of competence-based lesson plans classified as enough category. As for every aspect for cognitive, psychomotor, and  affective aspects are also classified into medium category.

Abstract

The companies and industries were very demanding manpower not only must be prepared to work in accordance with their competence but also that very important of them was the work attitude should be good. In fact, currently it was not so because of any manpower that was when received as worker. The study presents the concept of vocational education learning format model that appropriate and comply hopefulness of companies and industries. The method used the literature review, interview, creation of the competency-based learning program of work in companies and industries. The results have shown that the model of learning format was vary and depending on the characteristics of the subject of course to be achieved and attitude learning applied in every learning. Implementation of learning format model should be supported by together from education leadership and head of companies and industries in achieving the goals and benefits together.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana “Pelaksanaan Lesson Studydalam Perkul iahan Bimbingan Perawatan Anak pada Program Studi Pendi di kan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) angkatan 2011 FPTK-UPI”. Lesson study baru diterapkan dalam proses perkuliahan Bimbingan Perawatan Anak (BPA) pada Program Studi Pendidikan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) FPTK-UPI. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 1 orang Dosen Model, 6 orang Pengamat (Observer), 1 orang fasilitator, dan 26 orang mahasiswa Prodi PKK angkatan 2011 FPTK-UPI yang mengikuti mata kuliah Bimbingan Perawatan Anak. Jumlah keseluruhan subjek penelitian adalah 34 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi (daftar checklist) dan studi dokumentasi. PelaksanaanOpen Lesson dalam Perkul iahan Bimbingan Perawatan Anak pada pokok bahasan A lat Permai nan Edukatif APE) dengan pendekatan Mediated Learning Experience (M L E) di lakukan tiga si kl us. Pada tahap Perencanaan (Plan), Pelaksanaan (Do), dan Refleksi (See) yang dilakukan oleh dosen model, fasil itator beserta dosen PKK FPTK UPI sel aku observer sudah di l aksanakan dengan bai k sesuai dengan pedoman lesson study.

Abstract

To ensure the safety of food products to the consumer, required the application of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP). Liquid sugar is a food product which can be eaten directly or used as additives in the processing of other products. Stages in the HACCP plan includes identification of hazard analysis critical control point (CCP), the determination of the limit of danger, CCP monitoring, corrective action against danger verification, and documentation. Results of hazard identification no physical harm in the form of pebbles, hair; pesticide chemical hazards, biological hazards ants and black shank. CCP 1 was washing materials, CCP 2 was incubation, CCP 3 was Packaging. Critical limits for all hazards should be zero. Corrective measures must be of good quality raw materials. Wash in running water. Incubation at 400 C. Packaging using sterile packaging.

Abstract

This research aims to develop alternative assessment that is compatible for mathematical performance and useful to nurture competencies of vocational students. It is developmental research in which there are 3Ds stages such as define, design, and develop. By this, there are three instruments developed, namely Students Performance Test (SPT), Cognitive Affective and Performance Assessment (CAPA), and Holistic and Analytic Assessment (HAA). In order to know the affectivity, not only teachers were getting involved to contribute responds, but also students of SMK Kartika Makassar were engaged to learn and being observed during instruments trial. The result shows that SPT focuses on the ability of identification and drawing, whereas CAPA was divided into some aspects of cognitive (including recall, share exactly, identify symbol and figure accurately, construct the figure), affective (including austerity, motivation, accuracy, and discipline) and psychomotor (including speed, skills, and quality). Lastly, HAA was also constructed in terms of holistic (such as grades, description, and general criteria) and analytic (accuracy of length and angles, compliance figure, and neatness). This study brings the information that alternative assessment can be applied to support classroom assessment in which performance of students should be enhanced, especially for vocational education.

Abstract

Perubahan orientasi dan paradigma pendidikan yang memberi ruang dan kesempatan pada pendidikan vokasi berkembang di Indonesia, memunculkan masalah yang serius pada penyediaan guru, relevansi dan kualitas pendidikan. Penyediaan guru yang relevan tidak serta merta dapat disiapkan LPTK yang ada di daerah dimaksud. Otonomi daerah mendorong pula pembangunan berbagai SMK baru yang berdasarkan kebutuhan dan kearifan local yang pada akhirnya memunculkan masalah kekurangan guru yang relevan. Disisi lain implementasi pendidikan vokasi masih belum terencana dengan baik dan masih cenderung parsial sehingga perlunya kesamaan persepsi dalam pengembangan pendidikan guru vokasional. Sekolah-sekolah yang dikembangkan di beberapa kabupaten kota di Sulawesi Utara memiliki jenis vokasi yang sangat variatif dan tidak dimiliki oleh Fatek, bahkan Unima sebagai LPTK yang diberi wewenang dalam pendidikan guru vokasi. Pada kasus dalam amatan penulis ada sebuah SMK di daerah Bolaang Mongondow, yang membuka kejuruan Teknik Komputer Jaringan (TKJ), akuntansi, pertanian dan keperawatan. Untuk itu dibutuhkan suatu model program pendidikan guru vokasional berbasis kedaerahan, sesuai kebutuhan dan diselenggarakan secara integratif.

Abstract

The research aims is to reveal the implementation of e-learning on ICT specialization, the factors that affect the interaction between students with teachers, through the evaluation of the effectiveness of online exam, and the learning source. The pupolation used in the research is 2925 students and 31 teachers of SMK in Malang. Resulting from the research in most schools are ready to implement e-learning using applications Moodle, the interaction of teachers and students in the implementation of e-learning is positive and educative. Implementation an online exam is effective.Source of learning materials have traction, and help operate the computer skilled and manage information.In order to keep the sustainability of the implementation of e-learning should be commitment from the school to maintain the stability of the intranet and internet connection, every school need to have special hardware that supports video conference, so interactions that occur are not limited to chat, forums, and email,  to avoid leakage of the examination material required a reliable test system and enhance the question bank of the test system, and learning materials should also be prepared in the form of live CDs.

Abstract

The aim of vocational education is to produce employees who are ready to work, a characteristic of vocational education is through the implementation of apprenticeship. In the period 2010-2015 in Indonesia the labor force declined from vocational schools compared to senior high schools. This indicates the need for 21st century skill is called a tool for work, namely the skill to use Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). This article is intended to find out the relationship between apprenticeship and ICT in vocational students who carry out apprenticeship in the province of West Java. From the instrument distributed in 520 samples, it was found that there is a relationship between apprenticeship training and ICT through the value of Zcount = 7.16 Ztable = 2.58, with the coefficient of determination of (ry)2 = (0.315)2 = 0.0992. This shows that apprenticeship contributions affect ICT skill by 9.92% for students who carry out apprenticeship in the West Java province of Indonesia, while 90.08% is influenced by other factors.
