Perceived value had a major role in an academic activity, including in thesis writing. Unfortunately, there was no study that validated perceived value inventory in the thesis writing setting using empirical evaluation. Thesis writing has specific characteristics that make it unique compared to the general academic activity. Therefore, specific measurement is needed to accurately measure it. The present study aimed to validate the perceived value scale using construct validity approach. The research participants (N = 219) were university students from several faculties. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was used to validate the construct. Reliability was also estimated in this study. The result showed that the modified model was fit. The goodness of fit was estimated using Comparative Fit Index (CFI), Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA), Goodness-of-Fit Index (GFI), Normed Fit Index (NFI), and Non-Normed Fit Index (NNFI). The factor loading of each item was in range of .58 - .87, the Construct Reliability (CR) of each dimension were .81 and .77, and the Average Variance Extracted (AVE) of each dimension were .52 and .54. The reliability of the whole construct and its factors were satisfying (>.70). This result indicated that this scale was satisfying in overall structure and its convergence.

This study aims to develop standard measurement tools from hedonistic behavior using the perspective of the Rasch measurement model. The evaluation of psychometric characteristics conducted in this study (1) to check unidimensionality, (2) testing local independence assumptions, (3) testing scale rating diagnostics, (4) testing item fit, (5) reliability for person and items, and (6) displays the wright map and test information function to compare people and items on the same scale and find out the functioning of the test when given to individuals with the level of trait obtained. The sample in this study were 335 hijab-wearing Muslim women. Rasch analysis results show that the psychometric characteristics obtained are very good and precise, as well as the suitability of the items to the model. With this, the measuring instrument developed by researchers was named the Female Hedonistic Behavior Scale (FHBQ) with 14 valid items from the Rasch rating scale model from the measurement model perspective.

Moral is an important thing in a person's character. However, today Indonesian society has experienced many moral setbacks, especially among adolescents. This causes a moral crisis in adolescents. Although the crisis was realized, it was never known empirically about the moral crisis that occurred. This study intends to test the construct validity of the moral character instrument by means of a confirmatory factor analysis approach. The author's moral character instrument is compiled using a Likert model. Participants in this study were junior high and high school students in two different schools with a total of 153 (n = 153). The results of the CFA analysis show that the multidimensional model on moral instruments is declared fit with the data. However, there are several notes regarding the considerable number of invalid statement items on moral instruments.

Police Stress Questionnaire (PSQ) is a questionnaire developed by McCreary and Thompson (2006) to measure stress exercised by the police. The development of this questionnaire is based on the reason that the previous stress measuring instruments only measure general stressors and can’t describe specific stressors, especially in types of work that exert high level of stress. This study aims to evaluate the Police Stress Questionnaire (PSQ) instrument consists of two instruments, namely the Operational Police Stress Questionnaire (PSQ-Op) and the Organizational Police Stress Questionnaire (PSQ-Org), each containing 20 items with seven-point Likert scale for police officers in Indonesia. Respondents in this study were 313 police officers who served in the National Police Headquarters work unit (32.9%), Regional Police (38.3%), Resort Police (19.5%) and Sector Police (9.3%). The data collection technique used non-probability sampling with the help of the google form application. The method used is the Rating Scale Model (RSM). The results show that the Indonesian version of the Police Stressor Questionnaire (PSQ) is proven to meet unidimensional assumptions and the reliability analysis for person and items shows a strong level of reliability. However, the Rasch RSM analysis found violations of the assumption of local independence and problematic discrimination at specific thresholds (threshold disorder) in the seven response categories used. Furthermore, the results of the application of the Rasch Model Rating Scale model show that the psychometric facts of the two research instruments are very good and precise, as well as the suitability of the items to the model. Implications and suggestions for future research are also presented in the discussion.

Bringing up a child with disabilities has particular challenges and demands as these children's disabilities may cause certain impacts on their caregivers' well-being. In most of the studies, caregivers exhibited high scores of negative emotions that led to low subjective well-being. The effort to improve caregivers' well-being has been being carried out and one of the ways through subjective well-being research. Diener et al. (2009) define Subjective Well-Being (SWB) as the person’s evaluation of their life events in terms of cognitive and affective aspects. The higher rating score of these aspects, the higher level of SWB of the person. The aspects of SWB could be well measured if the instrument has good psychometric properties. The validity of the instruments is crucial to produce good quality research. In the present study, we examined the construct validity of the SWB using Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE) scales. The data was collected from 209 parents who had children with intellectual disability in Tangerang and Jakarta. The construct was validated by exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) in the software R version 3.6.2. The EFA results showed that the construct consisted of four factors: one for the cognitive aspect, one for positive affect, and two for negative affects. The CFA results further demonstrated that this model fitted the empirical data.

This article introduces the Klasika software developed to run item and test analysis using the Classical Test Theory approach. Classical Test Theory is one of the specialized competencies and skills that undergraduate students of psychology must possess. Classical Test Theory becomes a mandatory course for all schools or departments of psychology in Indonesia. This article also provides a theoretical foundation of Classical Test Theory's essential concepts and statistical methods, specifically related to items and test statistics. The item analysis and test reliability procedures using Klasika, starting from the data preparation untill data interpretation, are explained with an empirical illustration. Finally, the analysis results using Klasika are compared with the results from Quest software to test the accuracy of the estimation results.

Self-efficacy is a specific domain which is divided into several aspects (e.g., magnitude, strength, and generality) based on Bandura’s theory. However, many researchers attempt to generalize the concept of self-efficacy to examine personal competence in a broader view. This study aims to test the validity of items on the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), a measuring instrument that was developed by Ralf Schwarzer and designed by Matthias Jerusalem in 1979 to regulate the construction of self-efficacy as a broader concept of personality. This research used the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) method on 643 students in the Jabodetabek area to test the instrument’s validity and the CFA test results showed that out of the 10 items tested, the written statement is valid to measure the General Self-Efficacy variable.

The research objective was to produce assessment product for Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) using Computer Based Test (CBT) with four types of HOTS questions (true or false, multiple choices, fill in the blank and matching). It applied the basis of factual, conceptual, procedural and metacognitive-knowledge dimensions with illustrations in the form of discourse, images, graphics, videos, animation and interactive stimulation and feedback after going through the stages of logical validation, empirical validation and respondent questionnaires. Assessment product HOTS using CBT was implemented to Senior High School students in the learning process of physics subject through R&D research steps proposed by Borg and Gall that aimed to stimulate higher-order thinking skills. This is a development research in which the method was conducted by giving HOTS test questions using CBT to measure students’ HOTS profiles and distributing practical questionnaires related to students’ perceptions toward assessment products of HOTS using CBT. The data collection technique was carried out using expert validation sheet and respondent questionnaire. Then, the collected data was analyzed in descriptive quantitative. The analysis showed that the logical validity obtained from expert validation on HOTS assessment using CBT was 81% with a valid category. Empirical validity was obtained from students’ HOTS test results using CBT which showed that the four types of questions were able to measure students’ HOTS. In addition, students’ responses on practical aspects were 86.75% with a very practical category. The results of the data showed that the development of assessment product of HOTS using CBT in electromagnetic induction material for Physics subject in Senior High School is already valid and practical. Thus, it was concluded that the development of HOTS assessment using CBT has already contained the right stimulus and is able to encourage students to think using HOTS.

Multiple linear regression analysis is widely used among psychological researchers to answer their research question related to causality relationship. Exploring the relative importance of independent variables in explaining the total variation in dependent variable is one of the primary interests upon finding a good fit model from the data. This paper considers two popular methods to obtain relative importance, namely Shapley value regression and relative weight analysis. Both are able to break down the R2 of the full model into individual contribution proportion of each independent variable while accounting for the correlations between independent variables and thus offer easily interpretable effect size measures for regressions. Kaggle’s empirical data from the World Happiness 2019 will illustrate the theoretical concept of methods above.

Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) is the most reliable method of construct validity analysis in the fields of psychology, education and social sciences. From the author's observations on research articles as well as bachelor and graduate theses, and dissertations using CFA, it was found that there are a lot of misunderstandings and incompleteness in reporting CFA analysis. This paper is intended as an effort to improve this situation and provide recommendations in reporting data analysis using CFA. At the very least, this article is to show the important things that must be considered in understanding and using CFA and test theory in general.
