Abstract

This study aims to examine the shift in the This study was conducted through a qualitative approach with a case study design at Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT) NU Temayang, Bojonegoro Regency, which represents a financial institution based on Nahdlatul Ulama's socio-religious values. Data collection was conducted through in-depth semi-structured interviews with managers, accounting staff, the Sharia Supervisory Board, and BMT members, supplemented by participant observation and document analysis in the form of financial reports and social reports. The data analysis process used thematic analysis with a maqashid sharia framework, through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study identified three main themes, namely: (1) the meaning of compliance with PSAK Sharia as a form of religious mandate; (2) the function of accounting as a means of establishing justice and social trust; and (3) welfare as the final orientation in sharia financial practices. These findings indicate that sharia accounting practices at BMT NU Temayang are not limited to administrative activities, but rather serve as social and spiritual practices that reflect moral responsibility to Allah SWT, humanity, and the community. From a theoretical perspective, this research enriches the development of Shariah Enterprise Theory by emphasizing the concept of maqashid-based accountability

Educational quality is a primary indicator of the success of educational implementation in madrasahs. The head of the madrasah plays a strategic role as a manager, leader, and the main driving force in the development of educational quality. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that: (1) educational quality planning is conducted participatively through the preparation of the Madrasah Work Plan (RKM) and the development of flagship programs based on Islamic values; (2) the implementation of quality development is realized through the leadership of the madrasah head by integrating the EMASLIM functions and strengthening a religious culture within the madrasah environment; and (3) quality evaluation is carried out continuously through internal monitoring mechanisms, teacher performance evaluation, and program reflection. This study confirms that the integration of modern educational management and Islamic values is the key to the successful development of madrasah educational quality

Abstract

digital transformation to maintain relevance and quality. However, the widespread adoption of technology without a foundation in values often neglects character formation. This study aims to formulate a synergy model between digital transformation and spiritual leadership in educational management. Using a library research method with a comprehensive analysis of various policy documents and research journals related to curriculum management, educational digitalization, and spiritual leadership, the study's results indicate that digital transformation in Islamic and general education management is not merely limited to the use of technological devices, but requires a repositioning of leadership that emphasizes spiritual values (integrity, empathy, and divine vision). This synergy produces a management paradigm that is adaptive to technological change while remaining robust in shaping student character. Proposed strategies include the development of a humanistic technology-based curriculum, the implementation of microlearning to improve teacher competency, and the revitalization of traditional values within the digital ecosystem

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of kitab kuning (classical Islamic texts) instruction through the Al-Hasri wal Qosri method at Pondok Pesantren At-Taroqqi Karongan, Sampang, and its impact on improving students’ comprehension. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case-study design. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with the pesantren leader, education administrators, teachers, students, and students’ parents/guardians, as well as documentation review. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with credibility ensured through source, method, and theoretical triangulation. The findings indicate that: (1) students’ understanding developed gradually from the ability to read unvowelled texts (without harakat) to the ability to analyze grammatical structures and contextualize the content of the texts, with mastery of nahwu and sharaf serving as the foundational basis; (2) the Al-Hasri wal Qosri method was implemented systematically through stages of preparation, intensive instructional delivery, and continuous written–oral evaluation, enabling students to learn in a more structured and efficient manner; and (3) key supporting factors included a clear instructional structure, teachers’ commitment and competence, and the pesantren learning ecosystem, while obstacles stemmed from differences in students’ backgrounds and motivation, variations in teacher quality, a dense curriculum, the dominance of Arabic technical terms, and a learning culture that remains relatively passive. The study recommends differentiated instruction, strengthened contextualization strategies, and pedagogical training for teachers to optimize the implementation of the method.

Abstract

Modern Islamic boarding schools are residential-based educational environments that play a strategic role in shaping students’ dietary patterns and lifestyles. The integration of Islamic values into daily life has the potential to serve as an effective approach to controlling students’ health. This study aims to analyze the integration of Islamic dietary patterns and lifestyle as a strategy for health control among students in modern Islamic boarding schools. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Research informants consisted of students and boarding school administrators selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns and meanings emerging from students’ daily practices. The findings indicate that Islamic dietary patterns—encompassing the principles of halal and thayyib, eating etiquette, and moderation—along with Islamic lifestyles reflected in discipline, personal hygiene, and religious routines, contribute positively to students’ health control. The boarding school environment and the role-modeling of administrators play a crucial role in shaping healthy behaviors among students. However, limitations were still identified, particularly in terms of menu variety and nutritional understanding. This study concludes that the integration of Islamic dietary patterns and lifestyle has strong potential as a promotive and preventive strategy for improving students’ health in modern Islamic boarding schools.
