Abstract

This literature study aims to analyze the social construction of academic success in senior high school through the role of teacher competence as authority figures, the negotiation of study habits meaning among peers, and the interpretation of the learning environment as a productive space. The method used is qualitative library research with a thematic synthesis approach following systematic literature review procedures from a constructionist perspective. The results indicate that teacher competence extends beyond subject mastery to include the ability to build personal relationships and create a supportive classroom climate. Teacher authority voluntarily recognized by students becomes the foundation for internalizing academic values. Peers form an arena of negotiation where the meaning of study habits and achievement are collectively interpreted through daily interactions, creating group norms that can either support or hinder academic attainment. The learning environment is interpreted as a productive space when students feel psychologically safe, intellectually challenged, supported by positive relationships, and have access to adequate learning resources. These three aspects are interconnected and collectively construct the social reality that shapes how students perceive, pursue, and achieve academic success. This study contributes theoretically to enriching educational sociology and social psychology literature with a constructionist perspective on academic achievement.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi secara mendalam konsep tayamum dalam kitab Fathul Mu'in karya Syekh Zainuddin Al-Malibari. Thaharah atau penyucian adalah syarat mutlak dalam beribadah di Islam, namun pemahaman masyarakat tentang tayamum seringkali bersifat umum dan terbatas. Studi ini menggunakan riset pustaka, meneliti teks-teks klasik dalam kitab Fathul Mu'in sebagai sumber hukum Islam yang memiliki kedalaman makna dan disajikan secara ringkas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Fathul Mu'in memberikan panduan komprehensif tentang tayamum sebagai keringanan (rukhsah) bagi umat Islam yang memiliki keterbatasan akses air karena sakit atau faktor alam. Pembahasan mencakup biografi penulis kitab Fathul Mu'in, Syekh Zainuddin Al-Malibari, dan penjelasan tentang syarat-syarat sahnya tayamum, seperti waktu shalat, rukun-rukun yang meliputi niat dan tata cara, serta berbagai sunnah dan hal-hal yang membatalkannya. Buku ini tidak hanya relevan di dunia sekolah berasrama Islam, tetapi juga sangat cocok untuk dipelajari dalam pendidikan kontemporer atau era modern saat ini. Penguasaan materi ini diharapkan dapat membentuk generasi yang lebih baik dalam menjaga kesucian pribadi dan memiliki kestabilan spiritual untuk melaksanakan kewajiban agama dalam situasi darurat.

Abstract

The reactualization of Qur'anic values within the context of local wisdom is an important effort to present Islamic teachings in a contextual, relevant, and solution-oriented manner in society. In higher education, lecturers hold a strategic position as key actors in transforming Islamic values into scientific development, character building, and social practices rooted in local culture without losing the substance of the revealed teachings. This article aims to analyze the relationship between the universal values of the Qur'an and local wisdom and to explain the role of lecturers in developing professional and noble Islamic scholarship. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical approach. The results of the study indicate that Qur'anic values such as justice, honesty, trustworthiness, deliberation, moderation, and respect for human dignity have common ground with many local traditions that exist within society. Lecturers play a role as agents of value integration, developers of Islamic academic culture, researchers responsive to social realities, and moral role models in building scientific professionalism. Thus, the reactualization of Qur'anic values based on local wisdom not only strengthens an inclusive Islamic identity, but also produces a model of Islamic higher education that is oriented towards academic excellence and the formation of noble morals.

Abstract

The interpretation of polygamy-related verses in Islam remains a subject of continuous debate in both academic discourse and social practice. Al-Manar Tafsir by Muhammad Abduh and Al-Wasith Tafsir by Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi represent two distinct trends of modern Islamic thought in interpreting Surah an-Nisa verse 3. This study aims to analyze and compare the methodological approaches and conclusions of both exegetes regarding polygamy. Employing a qualitative method with a comparative literature-based approach, this research examines primary tafsir texts alongside relevant secondary sources. The findings reveal that Muhammad Abduh adopts a reformist interpretation emphasizing substantive justice and moral responsibility, thereby imposing strict limitations on polygamy. In contrast, Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi views polygamy within an applicable Islamic legal framework, considering material justice and social benefit in modern contexts. This study concludes that these interpretative differences reflect the dynamic nature of Islamic thought in responding to social change and contemporary challenges.

Abstract

The global environmental crisis, marked by ecosystem degradation, climate change, and the exploitation of natural resources, reflects a fundamental problem in human moral and spiritual consciousness. In the Islamic perspective, environmental destruction is understood as a reflection of a crisis of faith, so Islamic education holds a strategic role in instilling ecological awareness based on the value of tauhid (divine unity). This study aims to examine the design of an Islamic education curriculum grounded in ecotheology through the integration of tauhid values and environmental awareness in the learning process. The method used is library research involving various literature sources such as books, scientific journals, and other relevant documents. Data analysis was carried out through content analysis to identify concepts, values, and strategies for integrating ecotheology into the Islamic education curriculum. The results indicate that Islamic education based on ecotheology positions humans as khalifah fil ardh (stewards on earth) who bear moral and spiritual responsibility for preserving nature. The integration of tauhid values into the curriculum can shape students’ attitudes and behaviour to be environmentally conscious and to view environmental preservation as part of worship. However, the implementation of this curriculum still faces obstacles, including limited understanding among educators, a lack of contextual teaching materials, and a learning culture that tends to be merely normative. Therefore, the development of an Islamic education curriculum based on ecotheology is needed as a strategic effort to build students’ ecological character in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Tahfidzul Qur'an program in shaping the religious character of students at MAN Sidoarjo. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study type, namely reviewing various scientific sources in the form of journals, books, and relevant previous research. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Tahfidzul Qur'an program is carried out through memorization activities, muroja'ah, and structured evaluation. This program has been proven to be able to shape students' religious character such as discipline, responsibility, honesty, and steadfastness in worship. In addition, the success of the program is influenced by religious environmental factors, the role of teachers, and parental support. However, there are obstacles such as time constraints, differences in student abilities, and diverse learning motivations. Thus, the Tahfidzul Qur'an program is an effective strategy in strengthening students' religious character in the madrasah environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas masalah dominasi metode ceramah konvensional dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Negeri 172 Jakarta yang menyebabkan komunikasi satu arah serta rendahnya efektivitas pemahaman siswa yang heterogen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media komunikasi pembelajaran Islam dan menilai efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman serta motivasi belajar siswa. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif di SMP Negeri 172 Jakarta dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, serta analisis data Miles dan Huberman melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media komunikasi berupa visual, audio visual, digital, dan verbal mampu meningkatkan efektivitas Pendidikan Islam. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif, termotivasi, dan mudah memahami nilai-nilai Islam. Media visual seperti poster dan infografis membantu pemahaman moral, sedangkan audio visual meningkatkan keterlibatan emosional. Media digital seperti YouTube, Canva, dan Google Classroom memperluas interaksi, dan komunikasi verbal memperkuat karakter islami siswa. Kesimpulannya, pengembangan komunikasi meningkatkan efektivitas pendidikan dan pengamalan nilai Islam secara signifikan. Penelitian ini juga memiliki signifikansi dalam memberikan kontribusi teoritis bagi pendidikan Islam serta manfaat praktis bagi guru, siswa, dan pengembangan kurikulum berbasis teknologi digital

Abstract

This study aims to address the problems experienced by people with intellectual disabilities, who often experience discrimination in their environment, especially in the context of work. This problem has not yet received an adequate solution. As an effort to overcome this, government intervention in social rehabilitation is one of the important steps, which includes life skills guidance to support the independence of people with disabilities. Thus, the author presents two research questions formulated as follows: 1. What form of life skills guidance is given to people with intellectual disabilities at the Kartini Temanggung Integrated Center? 2. What efforts are made in life skills guidance to encourage the creativity of intellectual disabilities at the Kartini Temanggung Integrated Center? This study uses a qualitative research methodology with a case study approach. The data collection techniques applied include interviews, observations, and documentation, with a focus on activities related to life skills guidance, mentors, and individuals with intellectual disabilities themselves. The data collected were then analyzed using an analysis model developed by Miles and Huberman, which includes three main components: data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The research findings show that the implementation of life skill guidance for people with intellectual disabilities at the Kartini Temanggung Integrated Center covers various dimensions, including mental guidance, spiritual guidance, psychosocial guidance, cognitive guidance, self-development guidance, and skills training in the fields of sewing, washing, culinary arts, and handicrafts. Efforts to improve the creativity of individuals with intellectual disabilities are implemented through various strategies, including product creation, exploration, imaginative activities, experimental projects, language and music development.

Abstract

Project-based Islamic Religious Education (Project Based Learning/PjBL) is an innovative pedagogical approach considered relevant in addressing contemporary learning needs in Vocational High Schools (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan/SMK), particularly in enhancing students’ active engagement while fostering sustainable religious attitudes. This study aims to describe and analyze in depth the implementation of project-based Islamic Religious Education in shaping students’ religious attitudes at SMK Aryasatya Teknologi Purwokerto. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through direct classroom observations, in-depth interviews with Islamic Religious Education teachers and students, and documentation analysis related to the planning and implementation of project-based learning activities. The findings indicate that the application of the Project Based Learning model in Islamic Religious Education creates a more contextual, participatory, and meaningful learning environment. Through project activities, students not only develop conceptual understanding of religious materials but also internalize Islamic values, including faith, discipline in religious practices, responsibility, cooperation, and social awareness. Therefore, project-based Islamic Religious Education is proven to be effective in fostering students’ religious attitudes in a more active, reflective, and practical manner, both within the school environment and in their daily social lives.

Abstract

This Tafsir of the Quran is intended to explain the meanings of the terms found in the Quran with a more comprehensive approach, particularly regarding the parts of verses that may be confusing or unclear. Surah Al-'Alaq, specifically verses 1-5. The methodology used in this research involves the collection and analysis of texts from the Quran. This research also compares previous research findings with verses in the Quran that are related to the origins of knowledge. The study's findings indicate that many verses in the Quran relate to references used in Islamic education. The main objective of this research is to identify knowledge used in the context of Islamic education by analyzing Surah Al-'Alaq verses 1-5.This discussion seeks to understand how the positive contributions of the Qur'an can deepen our knowledge of the universe and various aspects of life. The clear guidelines in reading outlined in Surah Al-'Alaq become the key to achieving success and serve as a foundation of knowledge.
