Abstract

Has done research on understanding the concept of built space by using visual aids. This study aims to enhance student's understanding on the concept of nets up space that is taught with visual aids, student activities and teachers in learning. The research was carried out in two cycles. each cycle consists of the planning, implementation action, observation and reflection. Research subjects is eleventh grade student of SMKN 1 ATP Muara Kabupaten Uya Tabalong by the number of students 28 people. Data collection techniques used were the test results, and observations. Techniques of data analysis using techniques percentages. The results showed that the use of visual aids can enhance student’s understanding of the concept. learning outcomes of students increased from 67.14 to 89.99 on the first cycle to second cycle. Activities of students and teachers from the first cycle to second cycle also increased.Key words: Mathematics, visual aid, built space

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine significant differences betweenv TTW and TPS learning model on stoichiometric problem solving ability; (ii) the influence of mathematical ability on the capability to solve stoichiometric problems; (iii) the interaction between the learning model and the mathematical ability of stoichiometric problem-solving capability. This research is experimental research with the 2x2 factorial design. The population in this study is students of class X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Manokwari and sample is students of class X MIA 1 consisting 30 students and X MIA 2 consisting 28 students. The data in the analysis use two way analysis of variance. The conclusions of this study were (i) there was no significant difference in the capability of students to solve stoichiometric problems using TTW and TPS models; (ii) there was a significant difference in the capability to solve stoichiometric problems among learners who have high mathematical skills with low mathematical skills; (iii) there was no interaction between instructional model and mathematical ability to solve stoichiometric problem.Keywords: cooperative learning model type TPS, cooperative learning model type TTW, Mathematical ability

Abstract

The low of student achievement problem and students less active in mathematics learning process in fifth grade of SDN Jangkung Tanjung Tabalong district due to learning process which isn’t student center yet. The goal of this research was to increase student achievement and activity in mathematics on the subject of Properties of Flat Shape by using contextual approach in Think Pair Share methods. Subject of the study were the fifth grade students consisting of three male and five female students. The observation data was  analyzed by using qualitative approach, and the students achievement data was analyzed by percentation. The results showed that student activity score increased from 85.2 and 92.97 in the lesson 1 and 2 in the first cycle to 95.3 and 98.4 in the lesson 1 and 2 in the second cycle. The average score increased from 70 in the first cycle to 81.25 in the second cycle. Classical completeness increased from 62.5% in cycle 1 to 87.5% in cycle 2. From the results of this study can be concluded that the contextual approach in think pair and share model increase learning activity and math achievement on the subject of Properties of Flat Shape of fifth grade students of SDN 3 Jangkung Tabalong district school year 2011/2012. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian one grup pretest-postest desain dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode couple card berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada pembelajaran IPA. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5 yang terdiri dari 22 siswa SD Kebun Bunga 9 Bnajarmasin. Data yang diperoleh terdiri dari  dua jenis data, yakni data aktifitas guru dalam menggunakan metode couple card berbasis inkuiri terbimbing, dan data hasil keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa serta hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkkan bahwa untuk aktivitas guru dilihat dari keterlaksanaan RPP pada kegiatan belajar mengajar dimana memperoleh skor rata-rata 3,81 tergolong sangat baik. Data hasil keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa diperoleh dari rata-rata keseluruhan nilai pretest dan posttest dimana kategorinya dari  kurang menjadi baik. Secara terpisah dapat dilihat pada setiap indikator terjadi peningkatan antara lain : indikator kelancaran (fluency) dari 32,9% menjadi 75%, indikator keluwesan (flexibility) 42% menjadi 68,1% , indikator keaslian (originality) 29,5% menjadi 64,7%, dan indikator keterperincian (elaboration) 34,3% menjadi 70,5%. Data hasil belajar siswa yakni presentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 77.27% dan menandakan hasil belajar siswa sudah baik. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode couple card berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada pembelajaran IPA di SD Kebun Bunga 9 Banjarmasin tergolong efektif dan berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Abstract. The concept of atomic structure is one of the chemical concepts are quite abstract and difficult to be understood by high school students. From the results of learning in the school year 2012/2013 in SMAN 2 Tanjung is found that only 35% of the 243 students who are classified as being above the level of mastery learning about atomic structure. Based on these data, it is assumed that to improve activities and understanding of student learning atomic structure. It is expected can change to a better rate through the strategy Concept Mapping with the task of writing Journal of Learning in the atomic structure. The results of research are obtained before use concept mapping acquired the average of value about 65.83. In the first cycle the atomic structure of matter obtained the average value about 70.17. In the second cycle the atomic structure of matter obtained the average of value about 75.50. It represents that increase understanding of student from the average of value about 4.34 in the first cycle, and increase about 5.33 in the second cycle. While the average activities of student learning in the first cycle about 58.66% have increase about 11.34% to 70.00% in the second cycle. Teacher implements the strategy Concept Mapping with the task of writing Journal of Learning in the atomic structure of matter, that is based on constructivism, according the plan that had been developed, so that activities and understanding of student learning atomic structure can be increased on the class X-2 SMAN 2 Tanjung in academic year 2013/2014.Keywords: learning activity, atomic structure, concept mapping, journal of learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran dan pendekatan pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Makassar pada materi pokok Kelarutan dan Hasil Kali Kelarutan. Penelitian ini meruapakan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu dengan menggunakan desain factorial 2x2. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara porposive random sampling terpilih empat kelas, mulai XI IPA 1 – XI IPA 4. Kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 2 diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Solving dan kelas XI IPA 3 dan XI IPA 4 menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran dan pendekatan pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran pemecahan masalah dan model pembelajaran langsung. Sedangkan pendekatan pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran konstruktivisme dan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual. Variabel terikat adalah hasil belajar peserta didik. Pengumpulan data dengan pemberian tes hasil belajar. Dalam hal ini perhitungan hipotesis menggunakan spss 21.0. Hasil penelitian diperoleh (1) Hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan model problem solving lebih tinggi dibanding model pembelajaran langsung, (2) Hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual lebih tinggi dibanding dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme, (3) terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model problem solving disertai pendekatan kontekstual lebih memberikan pengaruh dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di SMAN 1 Makassar.

Abstract

Abstract.: A research on the chemical-based learning problem solving using real and virtual laboratory in terms of learning styles and learning outcomes in the electrolyte solution and Non-electrolytes material class X. This study aims to (1) determine differences in learning outcomes, (2) a description of evidence tendency learning styles, and (3) the response of students between classes with chemical-based learning problem solving using real lab and classes using virtual labs. Methods The study was a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. Samples were class X-7 as a learning experiment with using a virtual lab and X-4 as a control by learning using real lab. Collecting data using the testing techniques, observation and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using t-test, correlation and descriptive analysis. T-test was used to analyze differences in cognitive achievement grade students experiment with the control class. Correlation test was used to analyze the relationship between learning outcomes with students' learning styles. The results showed that (1) there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes significantly between grade students experiment with the control class, (2) kinesthetic tend to laboratory real while the visual and auditory tend to virtual labs, and (3) learning based chemistry problem solving using a laboratory the real and virtual received a positive response from the students on the material electrolyte solution and Non-electrolytes.Keywords: problem solving, real and virtual labs, learning outcomes, learning style.

Abstract

Abstract: A research on the application of TGT-assisted learning model question cards to improve students learning outcomes and activities of the hydrocarbon material in class X-5 SMAN 4 Banjarmasin. This study aims to determine (1) the teacher in managing classroom activities, (2) students during the learning activity, (3) Results of student learning, and (4) Response X-5 grade students of SMAN 4 Banjarmasin the TGT-assisted learning model cards matter in hydrocarbon material. The method of research is a class act. The subjects were students of SMAN 4 Banjarmasin class X-5 as many as 36 people. Data collection techniquesusing objective tests, observation sheets and questionnaires. The results showed that the implementation of learning by using a card-assisted learning model TGT matter (1) Improving the quality of teacher activity at 55.28 at 60.25 first cycle to the second cycle with either category, (2) Improving the quality of student activityby 37 cycles I became 52.26 with either category, (3) Improving the quality of learning on cognitive learning outcomes in the first cycle of 61.11% to 88.89% in the second cycle, and the affective behavior characterized by an increase of 11.06 on the character quality 12.41 on the first cycle to the second cycle, the social skills of students in the first cycle of 14.74 has increased the quality of social be 14.36 in the second cycle with either category, (4) students gave a positive response.Keywords: TGT, question card, hydrocarbon

Abstract

Abstract: This study was a mixed study. This study aimed to analyze and know about students’ motivation learning from class VIIB SMP Negeri 17 Kota Jambi to science subjects. The main data is done from the questionnaires and interviews conducted by researchers to science teachers and students of class VIIB. Then, the observation used aimed to see the students' activities during the instructional science activity. The results explained thru descriptive quantitatively in student’s motivation percentage form. It obtained 80,02% specially Class VIIB student in SMP 17 Jambi City. The result had analyzed namely the students’ motivation of science subjects classified in very hig category.Keywords: Science Lesson, Learning Motivation
