Abstract

The research on colloidal system using Numbered Head-Together method (NHT). Subjects were a class of eleventh grade students of SMA Haruai 1. This study aims to determine increasing in student learning outcomes and to evaluate the response of students towards learning using numbered head together (NHT). Classroom action research carried out in two cycles. The first cycle consisted of two action and second cycle consisted of an action. the number of students in this study amounted 24 people. data collected by tests, questionnaires, observations, and analyzed by quantitative descriptive.  The results showed that (1) student learning outcomes using Numbered-Head-Together (NHT) has increased, (2) students responded positively to the use of method numbered head together (NHT) in colloidal systems of learning.  Key words : Numbered head together (NHT), colloidal system, cycle, quantitative descriptive.

Abstract

Abstrak. Laboratorium merupakan suatu  sarana dan  prasarana yang harus ada di suatu perguruan tinggi. Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) sebagai salah satu perguruan tinggi yang ada di Kalimantan Selatan, berorientasi pada program pengelolaan lahan basah. Untuk lebih mengoptimalkan penelitian lahan basah tersebut diperlukan suatu laboratorium yang representatif.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kepuasan layanan dan tingkat kelayakan laboratorium  di Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan dari bulan Maret – Oktober 2018 terhadap 20 (dua puluh) laboratorium  yang tersebar di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Kedokteran, Perikanan, Kehutanan, Teknik, MIPA dan Pertanian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi dan survei berupa angket  terhadap pengguna  laboratorium yang terdiri dari pengelola laboratorium, praktikan dan peneliti. Dari hasil observasi dan survei  tersebut diketahui ; (a) secara umum tingkat kepuasan layanan SDM memberikan  hasil  memuaskan  bagi pengguna laboratorium di fakultas KIP, Perikanan, Kedokteran, Teknik dan Pertanian  namun perlu peningkatan layanan di fakultas  MIPA  dan  Kehutanan, (b) segi sarana dan prasana,  laboratorium yang  sudah  memadai fasilitasnya yaitu fakultas Kedokteran dan Teknik, laboratorium yang masih perlu  ditingkatkan  jumlah dan jenis peralatannya adalah laboratorium di  fakultas KIP, Perikanan, Pertanian, Kehutanan dan  MIPA. Peralatan K3 dan pengolahan limbah masih perlu ditingkatkan lagi di setiap laboratorium.

Abstract

Abstract. The reasearch problem at lack of teacher’s ability to choose suitable method and media with abstract character of electron configuration and element periodic system, cause of low level students comprehension and learning achievement. It needs inovation in learning by using simulation method by assistance of electron configuration charging and discharging media. The result of research prove that simulation method by assistance of electron configuration charging and discharging media is able to increase students activities increase from medium to very good, social skill from good to very good, also teacher activity is increase from good enough to very good. It also influence to students learning achievement in class XI IPA MAN 2 Paringin , at the beginning, students ability level at pre test only 34,40%, 64,80% at first cycle and 81,64% at second cycle and classical completeness from first to second cycle increase from 70% to 100%, student’s intrest in very good category in learning process.Keywords : activity, electron configuration charging and discharging media, learning achievement, simulation method, social skill

Abstract

It has been conducting research about Implementation of inquiry guide approach in science integreted learning specially garbage management. There are three formulation of the issues raised in this study, namely: how the learning outcomes of students using the inquiry approach, how the activities of the students asked, answered, doing tasks and present their work and how student responses on learning using the concept of inquiry guided approach to waste management competencies. Research goals to improve student’s understanding of eleventh grade of SMKN 1 Tanjung at Waste Management using inquiri guided approach. The number of respondents is 36 students. Results showed that student learning outcomes in the first cycle has not yet reached the classical completeness which 58.3% (category less) increased to 91.70% (Good categories) in the second cycle, the results of student learning is very low with an average of 60.45 (category is less) on the first cycle and increased to 90.45 in the second cycle. management of learning activities performed by teachers also increased, in the first cycle of 3.51 to 3.84 in the second cycle. This learning get very positive response from eleventh grade of Marketing student, for all students (100%) states excited by learning about waste management by using inquiry guided approach.Key word : improve understanding, garbage, inquiry guided approach

Abstract

Abstract. Research on scientific literacy aimed to analysis XI IPA students’ scientific literacy on ecosystem topic. This research carried out at SMA Negeri 3 Tarakan, Kalimantan Utara, from August – September 2017. This research was used descriptive qualitative method. Sampling technique was used simple random sampling technique. There were 34 of students at XI IPA class that have learned ecosystem topic and they were the research sample. The instrument used to measure of students’ scientific literacy was an essay questions and it consisted of 15 questions related to scientific literacy. Data was analyzed through an assessment interpretation formula. Overall, the result showed that 53% respondents has the scientific literacy in “enough category”.Keywords: scientific literacy, ecosystem, students’ scientific literacy ability

Abstract

Abstract: Use of IMPROVE method to increase student’s ability in problem solving of the buffer, solubility and solubility product at class XI IPA 4 SMAN 1 Banjarmasin School Year 2012/2013. A study concerning the use of the IMPROVE in buffer, solubility and solubility product. This study aims to determine the increase in students' ability in problem solving, both cognitive achievement and metacognitive development. Study using action research design with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects were students of class XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Banjarmasin with the number 34. Data were collected using a test problem-solving ability and other non-test instruments to determine the implementation of the action. Data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative analysis. The results showed that the application of IMPROVE method can improve students' ability to solve the problems of the average 37.96 to 61.83 in the first cycle to the second cycle. Cognitive learning outcomes of students on average 54.74 to 93.79 in the first cycle to the second cycle. Metacognitive development of students hasincreased from category Still Very Risky (SVR) in the first cycle to Start Growing (SG) in the second cycle. An increase in activity of teachers in the implementation of the action category quite well in the first cycle to be good in the second cycle. Student activity increased in the first cycle of category good enough to be good on the second cycle. Student responses on the first and second cycle showed excellent criterion.Keywords: IMPROVE method, metacognitive, problem-solving ability

Abstract

Abstract. This study was classroom action research (CAR), which consists of two cycles. Research conducted in the Class X SMA Negeri 8 Banjarmasin, while the observed factors include teacher activities, student activities, psychomotor, affective, motivation, understanding of concepts, and science process skills. The results showed an increase from the first cycle to the second cycle which includes students 'learning motivation of the worth category to good category, understanding students' concept, 64.60% to 84.57%, science process skills of students from less skilled category to skilled category, as well as the students gave a positive response, 94.28% to this learning.Keywords: learning resource-based environment, guided inquiry learning model, electrolyte and non electrolyte solution, motivation, understanding of concepts, and science process skills.

Abstract

Abstract: A research on the application of the learning methods of problem solving in the colloidal material class XI Science SMAN 4 Banjarmasin. This study aims to determine (1) differences in critical thinking skills students learn to use problem solving methods with conventional learning, (2) a response to the problem solving method in class XI IPA. Methods This study used a pretest- posttest nonequivalent control group design. Research sample is class XI Science SMAN 4 Banjarmasin which consists of class XI IPA 3 as the experimental class and class XI Science 2 as the control class. Data collection techniques using critical thinking skills tests and questionnaires. Statistical analysis using t-test, test for normality and homogeneity tests. The results showed that (1) there is a difference between the critical thinking skills that students learn to use problem solving methods with students who learn using conventional learning methods, namely the experimental class and 74.8% in the control class is 70.41% (2) response to learning of problem solving methods are categorized both by 32.2%.Keywords: problem solving, critical thinking skills, colloidal

Abstract

Abstract. SMP Satu Atap Wasur is a boarding school located 49 km from the administrative center of Merauke regency. The school is also in protected Wasur National Park area. The student mostlyare indigenous’s Papua that residing around Wasur National Park. The inadequacy of school facilities is a challenge for chemistry and physics teachers in explaining abstract material. The existence of visual aids from Musamus University by program KKN PPM is very helpful for teacher in teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study is to know the effectiveness of using visual aids to chemistry and physics achievement. This study using comparative quantitative method with paired t test using SPSS application. The result showed that tcount<ttable (-59,144 <-2,04227) for chemistry subject and tcount<ttable (-41,327 <-2,04227) for physics subject. In conclusion, the use of visual aids effectively improve the learning result of chemistry and physics in the students of Class IX SMP Satu Atap Wasur Merauke.Keywords: achievement, chemistry, physics, visual aids

Abstract

The classroom action research implementing mathematics laboratory as learning resources on Pythagoras Theorema concept was conducted. The objectives of this study was to describe student’s activities and mastery learning outcomes. in the 8 th grade class of MTsN 1 Muallimin Muhammadiyah Alabio with the mathematics laboratory for measurement learning. Subjects were 17 students involved on this study. The Class action research conducts in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, acting, observing, evaluating and reflecting.. The data collected in the form of student’s activities, achievments and mastery learning outcomes  through tests and observation. Results indicated that mastery learning outcomes of students has increased from cycle I to II, which is 70.57% and 94.12%. The quality of student’s activity also increased from good to the best category.  Key words : Mathematics laboratory, Pythagoras Theorema, mastery learning outcomes, student’s activities
