Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mereduksi miskonsepsi siswa dengan menggunakan media PhET pada konsep asam basa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan secara bersiklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA SMAN 8 Banjarmasin yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa adalah penggunakan konsep Bronsted-Lowry untuk menjelaskan konsep Arrhenius, serah terima elektron adalah pernyataan dari teori Bronsted-Lowry, zat yang berperan sebagai asam akan menjadi asam konjugasi pada teori Bronnsted-Lowry, siswa menganggap kertas lakmus ikut bereaksi dengan larutan dan mempengaruhi nilai pH, siswa melihat kekuatan suatu asam berdasarkan atom hidrogen, larutan asam kuat atau basa kuat menghasilkan hanya sedikit ion H+ atau OH- yang menyebabkan nyala lampu terang, dan perubahan nilai pH larutan asam lemah menjadi basa lemah dapat meningkatkan kualitas air. Pada siklus II aktivitas guru meningkat sangat baik, aktivitas siswa meningkat sangat aktif, aspek sikap pada siklus II menjadi sangat aktif, miskonsepsi berkurang setelah pembelajaran di siklus II, dan angket respon tergolong baik terhadap pembelajaran dengan media simulasi PhET.

Abstract

Abstract. Has done research about implementation e-learning study based website in science class 1 grade XI of SMAN 12 Banjarmasin. This research aims to know improved learning outcomes and student‟s motivation in solubility and solubility product material by implemented study e-learning based website. This research uses classroom action research design, with 2 cycles. Every cycles consist of stage planning, action, observation and evaluation and also analysis and reflection. The subject of research are 29 students science class 1 grade XI of SMAN 12 Banjarmasin . Data collected by online test in website and motivation questionnaire. Data analyzed by presentation technic and explained in quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that by implementation e-learning study based website can increase learning outcomes of solubility and solubility product material from cycle 1 to cycle 2. Understanding level of student increase from 85,19% in cycle 1 become 100% in cycle 2. Student motivation by implementation e-learning study based website in “very well” category.Keywords: e-leaning, website, solubility and solubility product

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan Analisis Vektor Untuk Gerak di tingkat SMA dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya. (2) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana aktivitas belajar siswa dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI di SMA Muhammadiyah 07 Dolok Batu Nanggar. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas yang menekankan pada kegiatan (tindakan) dengan mengujicobakan suatu ide kedalam praktek atau situasi nyata dalam mikro, yang diharapkan kegiatan tersebut mampu memperbaiki dan meningkatkan proses belajar mengajar. Instrument yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini berupa test (dipakai untuk mengukur kemampuan siswa baik kemampuan awal maupun peningkatan kemampuan siswa pada akhir siklus tindakan). Tes yang digunakan disusun dalam bentuk pilihan berganda dengan lima pilihan yang terdiri dari 10 soal. Data yang diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada pretes adalah 45,6096 dan pada postes I rata-rata hasil belajar siswa adalah 71,7073 sehingga persentase peningkatan hasil belajar siswa adalah 57,2190 %. Untuk data postes II juga diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar siswa adalah 81,4634 sehingga presentasi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa adalah 13,61%. Oleh karena itu metode pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya dengan alur penelitian tidakan kelas dapat menjadi pedoman bagi guru untuk membantu proses belajar mengajar di kelas. Bagi siswa, metode pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya dengan alur penelitian tidakan kelas dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar.

Abstract

Classroom action research has been conducted using the type of modified Jigsaw cooperative learning model to improve student learning and activities of seventh grade SMP Muara Uya 2 on ecosystem,exactly concept of component-component, the units in ecosystem and food chain, and food webs. The research goals to improve student learning outcomes and activities, and to know the student's responses to the learning process. Classroom action research carried out by two cycles, first cycle conducted two meetings and the second cycle is done in one session. The second cycle is an improvement from the first cycle with the advanced content of the same subject matter that is the ecosystem. The results showed that by using cooperative learning model of the type of modification Jigsaw, all students involved in the group as a model organism in the ecosystem, increased activity, activeness, and the responses of students were positive to the model that increase student learning outcomes. Increased student learning outcome classically results achieved from 42.86% to 85.72%, as well as student’s responses to be positive because the number of categories to choose the percentage of agree and strongly agree more than 50% of the categories do not agree and do not answer . the Jigsaw cooperative models use a modified type (there puzlle) can increase the activity, the responses of students in the Learning Process so that learning outcomes are achieved in accordance with the desired.Key Word: modification jigsaw, component-component, units in ecosystem, ecosystem, food chain, food web.

Abstract

Abstract. Learning media is one of the learning process component that can support the achievement of learning goals. Creative learning media can attract students' attention to learning material. This study aims to determine the effect of smash book based guided inquiry to student’s learning motivation on buffer solution material. The sample of this study is students of class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 SMA KORPRI Banjarmasin academic year 2017/2018. This research is quasi-experimental research. The design used in this study is the nonequivalent post-test control group design. The data were collected using an instrument in the form of learning motivation questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Mann Whitney U test assisted by SPSS after homogeneity and normality tests. The results showed that there was effect of smash book based guided inquiry to student’s learning motivation on buffer solution material.Keywords: guided inquiry, learning motivation, smash book

Abstract

Abstract. It has been conducting research about to improve the quality of teaching and learning outcomes via learning multiple model Picture and Picture-PBL in learning Biology especially virus concept. This classroom action research involved students of class X2 SMAN 1 Juai of Balangan Regency as a subject. This research designed two cycles, and two meetings for each cycle. Data collection techniques; test and observation. Test instruments were used for measuring students learning outcome. Teacher and Students activity measured by observer. Data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative techniques percentage, then the interpretation is done with complete and incomplete categories for student learning outcomes. As a rule the KKM Biology subjects = 65, and the percentage of completeness in classical ≥ 85%. For the learning activities of students and teachers teaching activities interpreted with less category, pretty, good and excellent. The results show that teaching activity, in the first cycle got the Good category, then an increase to second cycle got a very good category. Student activity increase from good category on learning activities-1 first cycle to the excellent category in second cycle all indicators of student learning activities. Student learning outcomes. increases, in the first cycle of learning activities-1 = 68% (Not Completed), and the learning activities-2 = 81.8% (Not Completed), then on the second cycle of learning activities-1 = 86.4% (Completed) and the learning activities-2 = 100% (Completed).Keywords: learning outcomes, multimodel (Problem Based Learning, Picture and Picture), virus concept.

Abstract

Abstract. Has done research on the use of models guided inquiry in the learning material buffer solution. This study was aimed to (1) determine the activities of teachers, (2) determine the activities of students, (3) improve science process skills, (4) improve student learning outcomes and (5) evaluate the response of the students. The study design was a classroom action research (PTK) with two cycles. The subjects were students of class XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 5 Banjarmasin with the number 38. The research instrument is a test and non test. The results showed that (1) the activities of teachers showed good category in the first cycle and excellent category in the second cycle, (2) the activity of students show category is active in the first cycle and the category of very active in the second cycle, (3) an increase in science process skills based on the results of the evaluation in the classical style of 65,78% in the first cycle to 89,47% in the second cycle and observations from the category of being the first cycle to the high category in the second cycle, (4) an increase in the thoroughness of the cognitive learning classical of 73,68% in the first cycle to 92,10% in the second cycle, an increase in affective learning outcomes of the category enough the first cycle to both categories at the second cycle, and increased psychomotor learning outcomes of the category enough the first cycle to both categories at the second cycle, (5) students responded positively to learning with guided inquiry model aided Vee diagram.Keywords: guided inquiry, Vee diagrams, buffers, science process skills, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to determine the difference in critical thinking skills of students who have learnt with Identify the problem, define the problem, Explore solution, Act on the strategy, and Look back and evaluate the effect (IDEAL) Problem Solving method and the students who have learnt with conventional methods based on cognitive styles on material of Petroleum. The method of this research is a quasi-experiment and the design is nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research was class of X SMAN 7 Banjarmasin in year academic 2012/2013. The Samples were determined by purposive random sampling by 2 classes out of 7 classes. The Data collection technique using tests and observation. The Analysis technique using t-test and descriptive analysis. T-test was used to analysing the difference in students' critical thinking skills with cognitive style Field Independent (FI) and Field Dependent (FD) in the experimental class and the control class. The results showed that: there is a significant difference critical thinking skills among students who have learnt with IDEAL Problem Solving method and students who have learnt with conventional method based on cognitive styles on the material of Petroleum and cognitive styles affect students' critical thinking skills.Keywords: ideal problem solving, cognitive styles, field independent (FI), field dependent (FD), critical thinkingskills, petroleum.

Abstract

Abstract. Membrane layer ia a semipermeable material that serves as a separator based on its physical properties. One type of this material is a silica-based membrane that offers higher selectivity in the desalination process of water. However, this membrane also has a weakness in hydro-stability that will ultimately affect the final desalination water results. The aim of this research is to know silica gel fabrication using sol-gel process and under various pH from 1 to 9. The precursorused was TEOS which is then applied as a layer on top of membrane support for water desalination process. The method was employed TEOS as a precursor, ethanol, HNO3 and NH3 with a two-step acid-base catalysed sol gel process method at 500C for 3 hours. In order to characterize this thinnfilm, the silica sil was dried at 600C for 2 hours and characterized using FTIR. It was found that there are several peaks at wavelength 1084, 962 and 800 cm-1 on sol-gel with pH 6. Siloxane groups can be seen at wavelengths 1084 cm-1 and 800 cm-1 while silanol group at peak 962 cm-1. Thus, the silica thin film membrane pH 6 shows a tendency to form a good micro and mesoporous material applied in separating salt content in the feed solution compared to the other sols.Keywords: membrane, silica sol, TEOS, xerogel
