Abstract

This experimental research has objectives to find out the difference between the three-time-aweek training and the four-time-a-week training upon the result of tuck style long jump, and to find the difference of long term between high leg explosive and low leg explosive upon the result of tuck style long jump, and to figure out the interaction between the frequency of one-week training and leg explosive power upon the result of tuck style long jump. The result of the research in the first hypothesis testing indicated that there was a significantly different effect between the tree-time-a-week training frequency and the four-time-a-week training frequency on the result of tuck style long jump. The second hypothesis testing was that there was a significantly different effect between high leg explosive power and low leg explosive power upon the result of tuck style long jump. The third hypothesis testing was that there was a relationship between the a-week training frequently and the leg explosive to tuck style long jump.

Abstract

The teaching and learning civic education in senior high school of SMA KORPRI Banjarmasin so far is based on speech method and the teacher dominates the classroom. This condition creates the low motivation of students in learning and finally it has the significant impact to the low students’ achievment. This research has the objective to increase the students’ activity and achievment by implimenting cooperative learning type Think Pair Share. The subject of this research is the students of X 1 SMA KORPRI Banjarmasin that consist of 33 students. The technique of collecting data is done by test, observation, questionare, and documentation. The research result shows that the implimentation of cooperative learning type Think Pair Share in teaching and learning civic education can increase the students’ activity and achievment of X 1 SMA KORPRI Banjarmasin.

Abstract

This article has the objective to state that farming by moving is not the cause of ecological disaster. Such activity is the local genius that is done and developed by masyarakat Bukit di Mount Meratus in order to keep the nature and human being. However, the change of society orientation in planting commercial plant has created the problems and dillema in masyarakat Bukit di Mount Meratus.

Abstract

Based on the observation in the physical science instruction, especially in the material of harmonic vibration at SMAN 1 (Public Senior High School), Palangkaraya Municipality, it has been found that the instruction is only focused on the knowledge aspect of harmonic motion, but not yet focused on how to train the students’ KPS (Science Process Skills). One of the solutions being able to train the KPS is the instruction  model of POE (Prediction, Observaation, Explanation). The goal of this research is to train the mastery of the students’ science process skills and to know the result of the students’ cognitive learning after they have followed the instruction by implementing the POE model in the material of harmonious vibration. This research is a pre-experimental research. The research has been implemented in the 11th class of MIA 1 SMAN 1, Palangkaraya. Based on the research, it has been known that: (1) 20% of the students having the mastery of KPS with very good category, 55% of the students having the mastery of KPS with good category, and the remaining 25% of the students’ having the mastery of KPS with sufficiently good category, and (2) the completeness of the cognitive learning result showing the completeness of 36 students and the non-completeness of 4 students or 90% of the students in the 11th class of MIA 1 SMAN 1 Palangkaraya have reached the completeness.

Abstract

This article describes the ability of students of eight grade of High School 1 Pacet Cianjur 2011/2012 in the use of diction in a narrative essay. Research was carried out by using the descriptive method. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion are showed that students’ ability to write essay in terms of accuracy of the use of diction which is an average 66.36. An examination of the use of language styles, the average value obtained is 65.68 students, meanwhile, viewed from the aspect of the use of the phrase sentences in a narrative written by the average value obtained by the students is 66.36. Therefore, it can be concluded that in general the ability of students to use diction, style and expression language sentences in writing a narrative essay is generally sufficient.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research (PTK) consisting of two cycles of the three meetings. Each cycle includes stages that are interconnected and continuous, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects were students of class VII MTs South Banjar 1 Banjarmasin in the school year 2013/2014 the number of students 24. These results demonstrate the applicability of the method Index card can match and improve the ability to determine the content of and rhymes of Sampiran class VII MTsN South Banjar 1 City Banjarmasin. It is declared a success. The first cycle of the average value of 76 increased by 88 and 71 and 87 with classical completeness and individually. The activity of teachers has risen in the first cycle reaches an average of 62%, increasing to 75% and reaches 100%. Activities of students has increased an average of 58%, 74% and 84%. The activity group work on learning the first category increased enough into either category. The response of students to the learning method index card match is that students feel happy, to have new experiences and very helpful in learning, have the courage to answer any questions or make an active and creative in order to understand the material by determining the content.

Abstract

It has been conducted research about the application of guided inquiry methods to develop students’ ability to carry out simple research on Scientific Method material in SMK 1 Pugaan. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), with research subjects 35 students of class X Mechanical Light Vehicle 1. The research instrument is student activity observational sheets, teacher activities observation sheet and student questionnaire responses. Learning was conducted in 2 cycles, where each cycle completed within three (3) meetings and exhibitions held at the end of cycle 2 work / work study students. Based on the results it is known that (1) the application of of guided inquiry successfully develop students’ research skills and understanding to make a simple research on scientific method material in class X Mechanical Light Vehicle 1 SMK 1 Pugaan Academic Year 2013/2014. (2) Overall student gave positive response to guided inquiry method, in which students agree that learning science with guided inquiry method appealing for students, making them easier to understand science, as well as help students when difficulties in solving problems.

Abstract

Abstract: The study is directed to improve students’ comprehension of poems using the Two Stay-TwoStray strategy. The subject of this study is 23 students of the sixth semester of English department ofFKIP at Islamic University of Malang. This study uses collaborative action research design which consistsof four main steps: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The data is taken from quiz,observation checklist and field notes. The findings indicate that using TS-TS strategy can improve thestudents’ comprehension of poems. The average score of students’ test in Cycle 2 is 80 and the students’active involvement in Cycle 2 is 86%. The data are obtained from the implementation of TS-TS strategyin improving students’ comprehension of poems.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan siswa terhadap puisi denganmenggunakan strategi Two stay-Two Stray. Subjek penelitian adalah 23 orang mahasiswa semester 6Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FKIP Universitas Islam Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desainpenelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri atas empat langkah utama, prencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasidan refleksi. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan kuis, observasi dan catatan lapangan. Temuanpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi TS-TS dapat menigkatkan penguasaan siswa terhadap puisi.Rata-rata skor siswa paa siklus 2 adalah 80 dan keterlibatan aktivitas siswa di siklus 2 adlah 86% .Data ini diperoleh dri implementasi strategi TS-TS dalam meningkatkan penguasaan siswa terhadappuisi.Key Words: comprehension of poems, Two Stay-Two Stray Strategy

Abstract

Problem-based learning ( PBL ) model is a learning model that uses real-world problems as a context for students to learn about critical thinking and problem solving skills, as well as a way to acquire the knowledge and the essential concepts of the subject matter. The purpose of this study was to determine whether PBL models can improve learning outcomes of 26 students in physics class XA SMAN 1 Tanta. The data were analyzed by descriptive . The results showed that in the first cycle, students learning outcomes increase on average of 12.69 % , while in the second cycle students learn to achieve an increase on average by 21.93 % and the third cycle , students achieve average improvement of learning outcomes average of 10.77 % . Thus it can be said that through the application of the PBL , the results of studying physics grade students of SMAN 1 Tanta XA can be improved.

Abstract

Curriculum is the foundation of the teaching-learning process. One of the most important activities of the university is the development of curriculum or course outlines in consonance with the national and international demands and realities.This study was conducted to the 29 alumni of English Department of Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training. The data needed were the perspective, opinion and suggestion from the alumni of English Education Department Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training of IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin. These data gained from the result of questionaire, in depth-interview and documentation. This research found out  that the course of English department curriculum has given perspective for alumni which most of them said that this curriculum has been run well and have good content. The courses have to be developed to address specific set of needs and to cover a given set of objectives. This English curriculum  develop students’ awareness of the learning process and their role as learners by developing their knowledge and skills, how to use reference words,  design to assist them in independent study, awareness of their own learning styles, strengths and weakness, familiarity with various techniques, foreign culture and  nature of learning strategies.
