Abstract

This research was intended to produce flipped classroom learning tools on impulse and momentum materials to help overcome insufficient time to get all students to understand the material well, and to know the validation of products by experts and practitioners and to seek out the attractiveness, convenience, and usefulness of the tools. The development model used in this research was the ADDIE model consisting of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, which were restricted to the development phase. In the analysis phase, it was done by doing requirement analysis by giving questionnaires to students and interviewing to a teacher in Metro 1 Public HighSchool. At the design phase, it was done by producing learning tools that include syllabus, lesson plans, lessons video, student’s worksheet for video’s companion, and student’s worksheet for classroom learning. At the development phase, it was done by testing the product. The result obtained from the expert validation test was 3.58 of the average product score with the qualification is very valid, the practitioners validation test result was 3.66 of the average score with qualification is very valid, and the result of the 1-1 test is 3.47 of the attractiveness average scores, 3.32 of the convenience average scores, and 3.70 of the usefulness average scores, with qualifications are very attractive, very convenient, and very useful. The conclusion from the results of this development research is the flipped classroom learning tools for impulse and momentum materials are worthy to betested in learning physics.Keywords: ADDIE, Development, Impulse and Momentum, Learning Tools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of cooperative learning model two stay-two stray towards learning outcomes and learning activities of students on the subject of colloids in the 2nd half of class XI SMAN 2 Sidikalang. This type of research is an experimental research. The study population was all students in grade XI natural sciences at SMAN 2 Sidikalang. Samples were taken at random as much as 2 classes and student samples randomly assigned 40 people per class. This study uses the initial and final test design randomized control group, where both classes were given a different treatment, a class using Learning Model Two Stay-Two Stray, and one other class using conventional learning model in the form of group discussions. Based on the results of data processing, obtained an average improvement of learning outcomes in the experimental class = 70.00%, while the control class = 46.32%. Testing the hypothesis on learning outcomes is done by using the t test (the test right) with α=0.05, db = 78 obtained t (3.98)> t table (1.68). This indicates that the t arithmetic is outside the reception Ho Ha accepted meaning. Likewise with the hypothesis of the learning activities of students, Ho was rejected because at α = 0.05, db = 78 obtained t (2.87)> t table (1.68)., It can be stated that there is the effect of the application of cooperative learning model two stay-two stray towards learning outcomes and learning activities of students on the subject of colloids in the 2nd half of class XI SMA N 2 Sidikalang. This type of research is an experimental research. The study population was all students in grade XI natural sciences at SMAN 2 Sidikalang. Results of processing data correlate with the learning outcomes of students learning activities obtained positive correlations were low and the experimental class is r = 0.44. Abstract

Infinite square well potential is one of the most elementary quantum mechanical system. The calculation of this case is not too complicated, however, it can show the differences between quantum world and classical world with clearly. In this letter, we expand the discussion about the infinite square well potential for dynamic potential well by involving relativistic corrections. The dynamic potential is defined as potential wall that depend on time because the potential can moving with constant velocity. The Dirac equation is used to describe condition in the potential well. By this consideration, we hope the result will be useful in the development of nanoelectronic devices. To obtain solution of probability density of Dirac particles that depend on space and time, we transform the Dirac equation into hyperbolic coordinates and the differential equations can be solved by separation variables method.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: the effect of the use of Macromedia Flash to student interest. The population in this study were high school PSKD 7 Depok and Sample in this research were students of class XI-IPA SMA PSKD 7 Depok academic year 2016/2017. Data collection tool used in this study is the use of a questionnaire pre-test and post test with purposive technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire to collect data on students' perceptions of learning macromedia flash media usage data and student interest. Test requirements have been carried out in the form of normality test, test Homoegnitas, Hypothesis Testing with SPSS 2.0 for windows and Analysis of the data used in this study is a Likert Scale Test. The results of data analysis showed there was a positive influence among student interest in the use of learning media. Based on data analysis and hypothesis testing are carried out found that: (1) There is an increased interest of students of class XI-IPA SMA PSKD 7 Depok FY 2016/2017 in the matter of chemical bonds using Macromedia Flash it can be seen from the total score in the category Likert scale strongly agree (total score of 2603) and the data is normally distributed with sig> 0.05 and homogeneous with sig> 0, 05. (2) The percentage interest of students in chemical bonding materials increased by 18% after using Macromedia Flash. Keywords: Instrucsional Media, Learning nteresting, Macromedia Flash.

Abstract

This research have been designed a structure of artificial neural network (ANN) with using backpropagation to recognize signal pattern of human voice. The signal should first be processed with Linear Predictive Coding (LPC). Linear Predictive Coding (LPC) used for extraction characteristic. Producing matrix with 24 x50 orde which is then becoming input data for Artificial Neural Network Backpropagation (ANN-BP). There nets consist of 4 layers. Those 4 layers are : 1 input layers with 24 neuron, 2 hidden layers which are devided as 15 neuron at the first hidden layer and 10 neuron at the second, The last output with 5 neuron.For 5 training data, parameter characteristic value of net such us: Learning rate value (alpha) = 0,05 and mu value (μ) = 10-3with using by sigmoid bipolar activation function. The result of the research shows that the nets can recognize as 100 % of 25 trainning data, 74 % of 25 testing data.Keywords : Artificial Neural Network, Back propagation, voice recognation

Abstract

This study aimed to increase students’s collaborative activity and conceptual understanding in Fundamental Physics I course through the implementation of lesson study in two parallel classes. Each lesson study cycle consisted of three stages, started with planning a lesson, teaching and observing the lesson, and reflecting the result, for the first class. After that, revising the lesson plans to be implemented in the second class. The results showed that students’s collaborative activities and conceptual understanding for the two classes increased from cycle I – cycle III. The average scores of first class’ collaborative activity from cycle I - cycle III were 72.0, 75.8, and 81.6, respectively while for the second class were 73.4, 78.8, and 82.6. Moreover, the average conceptual understanding for the first class from cycle I - cycle III were 42.7, 58.8, and 66.2, respectively, while the second class were 48.5, 65.5, and 66.1. The results also showed that the average collaborative activities and understanding the concept of second grade students tended to be better than students of the first class.

Abstract

The high number of tin mining in the Bangka Belitung Islands leaves a number of problems such as unused land after tin mining. Whereas on the other side, the post tin mining areas can be used as a source of water reserves although additional treatment is needed because it is feared contain heavy metals. Calcium oxide is a compound that can be used to coagulate dispersed pollutants in water so that it can be used to improve the quality of water stored in the post tin mining area. One of the most abundant sources of calcium in the Bangka Belitung Islands comes from wasted cockle shell. Through a heating process at temperatures of about 700°C calcium carbonate in the wasted cockle shell will begin to decompose into calcium oxide. Based on the results obtained have known that the longer the heating process then the decomposition process of calcium carbonate more and more occur. Abstract

The background of this paper is the defecient of the society’s recognition of geometry in mathematics. The purpose of this paper is to introduce closer the society to the uniqueness of geometry in mathematics, so that the community’s knowledge about the variety of geometry in mathematic will increase and grow broader. This is hope to benefit the society by increasing their intrest to learn deeper about mathematics. To solve this problem, the solution offered as follows: introducing one of the unique geometry of platonic solid, through everyday life objects. In this case, as the student of Mathematics Education Study Program Teaching and Science Faculty of Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI), is making platonic solid lantern to introduce platonic solid to the society. Platonic solid is the combination of five geometry shapes composed by tetrahedron, hexahedron, dodecahedron, octahedron, and icosahedron.Keywords: Platonic solid (tetrahedron, hexahedron, dodecahedron, octahedron, dan icosahedron).

Abstract

The research aim to know the influence of cooperative learning model NHT aided props to the learning outcomes of students in the subject matter physics kinematics with vector analysis. The method used is a quasi-experimental research design with pretest posttest control group design. This research was conducted in SMA Angkasa 1 Jakarta XI in the academic year 2016/2017. Sample studies class XI-2 as the control class and class XI-3 as the experimental class with cluster random sampling technique. Instruments used multiple choice that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of this study concluded that cooperative learning NHT aided simple props affect the learning outcomes of students in the material physics kinematics with vector analysis. This can be seen from the calculation results of hypothesis testing via t-test at a significance level of 5% and dk = 66 result Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05, so it can be stated that Ho refused and Ha is received and also the results showed an average gain of 55% experimental class and control class 20%. This is also supported high student activity. The percentage of student activity experimental group included active category of 94% and 6% inactive category. while the control class that includes active category of 67.5% and 32.5% inactive category. Abstract

Nias Island is an island located west of North Sumatra dipesisir which has a fairly high level of seismicity. This paper discusses the problem of forecasting the occurrence of tectonic earthquakes for the island of Nias, located on the site: 0º19'LU - 1º82'LU and 96.97 BTº- 98.53ºBB. By using the data a powerful earthquake that caused damage. Tectonic earthquake forecasting is done with method 3 parameter Weibull distribution, two parameter Gumbel distribution and exponential distribution of parameter 1. using the data as much as 47 damaging earthquakes from year 1960 to 2012, which is a major earthquake (mainshock) the magnitude of 6.0 - 9.1 SR. To calculate the waiting time distribution forecasting using a third used the software Mathematica for Windows version 8.0. Making the program requires data - input data relating to waiting times of earthquakes in the past to the present. By making this prediction program to predict the timing of the tectonic earthquake in Nias Island. So predictable subsequent tectonic earthquake in Nias island territory will occur on September 4, 2013 when predicted using the Weibull distribution with three parameters, dated April 5, 2013 if the forecast using the Gumbel distribution with two parameters and dated September 4, 2013 when predicted using the method of distribution exponential with a parameter.
