Abstract

The research purpose to know the Influence of cooperative learning type Think Pair Share (TPS) with practical assistance to the learning outcomes of students in physics class X SMA ANGKASA 1 Jakarta Timur. Type of research is a quasi experimental design using pretest-posttest-control-group design. Sampling using cluster random sampling, acquired two classes, X MIA 1 into experimental class and class X MIA 2 as control class. The instrument comes in the form of multiple choice tests. From the research results obtained by the test value gain on an experimental class of 0.74 which is in the high category and control class is 0.43 which is in the low category. Based on t-test with SPSS version 16, the obtained results sig. (2-tailed) was 0.000 <0.05, so it can be expressed Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. There can be concluded that the significant influence of cooperative learning model TPS to learning outcomes. Keywords: cooveratif, Think Pair Share, quasi eksperimental, learning outcome.

Abstract

Mathematical problem solving in the form of word problems is very helpful in dailystudent life because this problems always related to daily life. Problems encountered in this research, it was found that the students are less capable in solving word problems. This matter because students had not been given exercises in the form of word problems. To improve the students ability in solving word problems, researcherapply Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education Approach (PMRI). This research aims to determine that the application PMRI approach can enhance the students' ability in solving word problems and find out how the application PMRI in mathematic. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in SMP UTY, the Christian school located in t Medan. Based on the research results obtained, it is known that the application PMRI approach can enhance the students ability in solving word problems, although indicators of success has not been achieved in this study. Abstract

Every people being is getting accustomed to using android based smartphone, not exception elementary school students. Even parents feel the hassle when asked his son to learn if using a smartphone. Therefore a new approach is needed in order for the elementary school students easily asked learning. One such approach is to use an android based smartphone as a media students learning. The method of this research is research and development method. System development used is waterfall. The purpose of this research resulted in the android game to increase interest in learning. Abstract

This research is based on the problem of low mathematical reasoning ability of high school students. This study aims to examine the improvement of mathematical reasoning ability among students who get Differentiated Instruction approach and conventional learning. The research design was quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group research design using Purposive Sampling technique. Instruments used include mathematical prior knowledge test, mathematical reasoning tests, observation sheets, and interview guides. Quantitative analysis was performed by using t-test and two-way anova test. The result of the research shows that (1) the improvement of student’s mathematical reasoning ability through DI learning is better than conventional learning, (2) The improvement of student’s mathematical reasoning ability through DI learning is better than the students who follow the conventional learning in terms of Mathematical Prior Knowledge. Abstract

Credit scoring is a system or method used by banks or other financial institutions to determine the debtor feasible or not get a loan. One of credit scoring method is used to classify the characteristics of debtor is Support Vector Machine (SVM). SVM has an excellent generalization ability to solve classification problems in a large amount of data and can generate an optimal separator function to separate two groups of data from two different classes. One of the success using SVM method is dependent on features selection process that will affect the level of classification accuracy. Various methods have done to features selection, because not all the features are able to give best classification results. Features selection that used this study is Variance Threshold, Univariate Chi - Square, Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE) and Extra Trees Classifier (ETC). Data in this study use secondary data from the database in UCI machine learning responsitory. Based on simulations to compare the accuracy of using feature selection method on SVM in classification ofcredit riskscoring, obtained that Variance Threshold and Univariate Chi – Square method can decrease accuracy while RFE and ETC method can increase accuracy. Abstract

Research has conducted student teachers’s performance influence to improving student’s learning outcomes in high school in August 2015 - January 2016. The study was conducted with 4 phases: (1).Providing pretest, posttest and questionnaires. (2). Data collection pretest, posttest and questionnaires. (3). Data processing such as coding and simple regression model . (4). Simple regression analysis and variable presentation supporting student’s learning. The correlation coefficient 0.712 (71.2%) for the relation between the two variables categorized strong. Determasi coefficient value of 0, 507 (50.7%) which describe student teacher’s performance (X) has the effect of a contribution of 50.7% to the student’s learning outcomes (Y) and 49.30% influenced by other factors. Regression model Y = -43.507 + 2,887X.T test obtained Thitung 10,69 greater than Ttable 1.98 which mean that there is influence student teacher’s performance toward improving student learning outcomes. F test obtained Fhitung 115.23 value greater than Ftable which mean the model is expressed well.

Abstract

The objective of research is to describe the form and content of the book of enrichment for biology national exam. The title of this book is PREDIKSI. This research also describes the perceptions of students on the advantage of the book PREDIKSI. This research is a descriptive research. The methods applied for the research were study literature and survey. There were 21 samples taken from students who were using the book PREDIKSI with the number of respondents 21 students. The enrichment book entitled PREDIKSI is a book consisting of material summaries used for the enrichment sessions of the biology national exam. This book are contains of a summary of the biology materials, practical memorizing tips, short answeres, essay exercises, and a discussion of questions. The students' perceptions about this book are very positive. It is shown from the average score of students' perceptions of the usefulness of the book is 4.19. This book is expected to be the solution for the students in overcoming anxiety toward Biology National Exam. Keywords: content of PREDIKSI book, students’ perception, advantage

Abstract

Enzymes are the same biomolecules such as proteins, has only a functional difference. Enzymes are biocatalyst that recently applied to many industrial fields. To be applied in the field of industrial enzymes should be enhanced stability against temperature. Analysis of the salt bridge is able to demonstrate the potential of residues mutated to improve thermal stability. Molecular dynamics simulations performed by observing the unfolding process. Variations in temperature used is 400 K, 450 K and 500 K, respectively performed for 2.5 ns. Then analyzed the pair a salt bridge is formed. There are 25 pairs of salt bridges at a temperature of 400 K, 24 pairs of salt bridges at a temperature of 450 K, and there are 30 pairs of the salt bridge is formed at a temperature of 500 K. To determine the salt bridge partner is a key enzyme kesstabilan we then plotted salt bridge between distances (Ã… ) with time (ns) only at a temperature of 500 K, for allegedly at these temperatures has been a process of unfolding. Of the 30 pairs of the salt bridge that had plotted the distance with time, the pair obtained a salt bridge that pattern similar to the pattern chart graph analysis Root-mean-square deviation (RMSD). There are three curves salt bridge that pattern is similar to the pattern of RMSD curve and SASA, namely the salt bridge Glu84-Arg134, Asp104-Arg134 and Asp113-Arg115. The sharp rise in the value of RMSD and the resulting rupture SASA three pairs of the salt bridges. So when carried mutations in-silico candidate mutants that will be transferred is the amino acid residues are thought to play a role in electrostatic interactions and replace it with another amino acid residue on the basis of structural similarities. Abstract

Students grade VII’s cognitive learning outcomes at SMPK Medan were relatively low. It was caused by many factors, one of them was the learning method which was still conventional. Students were needed to improve their learning outcomes, so the researcher made the research with purpose was to know the improvement ofstudents’ learning outcomes by using Numbered Heads Together (NHT) method. The research methodology was used quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The samples of this research were students at grade VII A and VII B. Grade VII B as experimental class and grade VII A as control class. Both of the classes were given treatment, the experimental class with NHT and control class with conventional learning. The improved of learning outcomes can be seen from the mean of N -Gain in experimental class was 0.39 in middle category and the control class was 0.09 in low category. The control class and experiment class had different learning result significantly. Based on the research, it can be concluded that this method can increased students’ learning outcomes at grade VII at SMPK Medan. Keywords: NHT, conventional learning, learning outcomes

Abstract

The growth of bean plants can be enhached through the provision of fertilizer and organic material. The purpose of this research is to get the best concentration of Bayfolan leaf fertilizer and mung bean sprout (Vigna radiata L.)extract in improving the growth of green bean plants(Phaseolus vulgaris [L.] cv. Balitsa 2). This study was conducted using an experimental method in the greenhouse with a single factor Block Randomized design (BRD) consisting of 20 combinations of Bayfolan fertilizer and the extract of mung bean sprouts (V. radiata). Bayfolan fertilizer concentration used was 0, 2, 2.5, and 3 mL / L, while the concentration of bean sprout extract used was 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80%. The results of the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) showed that the combination of 3 mL/L Bayfolan foliar fertilizer and 60% extract of mung bean sprouts was the best concentrations for the growth of green bean plants on plant height parameters, the number of leaves, the number of flowers, wide of leaf, and the weight of dried bush bean plants.
