Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of teacher professionalism and emotional quotient to teachers’ performance of Islamic religious education at Islamic Junior High School 2 Bulukumba. This research is a field research by using quantitative approach through the ex post facto method. The participants of this research are 120 students from 604 students, taken through proportional random. Data collection technique with questionnaires and then analyzed by using regression analysis to examine the hypothesis. The results of this study show that partially, the teachers’ professionalism has a positive and significant effect on teachers’ performance of Islamic religious education, as well as the emotional quotient has a positive and significant effect on teachers’ performance of Islamic religious education. Simultaneously, teachers’ professionalism and emotional quotient has a positif and significant effect on teachers’ performance of Islamic religious education Thus, teachers’ professionalism and emotional quotient are the factors that determine the level teachers’ performance of Islamic religious education at Islamic Junior High School 2 Bulukumba.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to increase news-writing skills by applying integrated approach and images utilization.The research is a type of action research which was conducted in 3 cycles. The main activities of the research were done in 4 steps: action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted to classVIIIA on the second term year 2013/2014 of Negeri 1 Teras Junior High School located in Boyolali. The subjects particularly were members of class VIIIA, consisting 32 students in total with the same ratio of girls and boys. The research uses field notes, observation guidelines, and news-writing trials as a method of collecting data. Descriptive-Qualitative method is used to analyse the development of writing skills. Both the process and the final results are analysed for this research. There are three conducted cycles. The result of the research showed that integrated approach and imagesutilization successfully increase the news-writing skills of the students both quantitatively and qualitatively. Initially, merely 7 of 32 students or approximately 21.88% of the students pass the average level while the classical learning mastering is 70.83%. After the first cycle has been done, the number of students who pass the average level increased significantly to 26 out of 32 or 81.25% while classical learning mastery increases to 77.89%. As a result, the succeed criteria of the research has not been achieved yet. The mean score of the students on first cycle is 77.89. Classical learning mastery is 85.07% therefore the succeed criteria has been passed this time. The mean score of the students on the second cycle is 85.07 which increases significantly compared to that on the first cycle.

Abstract

Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) Terpadu merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yangwajib diajarkan pada pendidikan jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP), akantetapi, banyak siswa kurang menyukai pelajaran ini karena dianggap sulit. Tujuandari penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasisgame untuk siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) kelas VIII, dan (2) mengujikelayakan media pembelajaran tersebut untuk diterapkan sebagai alternatif metodepembelajaran IPA Terpadu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalahresearch and development (RD), yaitu merancang dan mengembangkan mediapembelajaran produk berupa game dan selanjutnya melakukan pengujian atas aplikasitersebut. Pengujian aplikasi dilakukan terhadap guru Mata Pelajaran IPA tingkatSMP sebanyak 21 orang dari 8 SMP berbeda. Data diperoleh dari kuisioner yangdidistribusikan kepada para guru sebelum memainkan game dan setelah memainkangame. Dari pengujian dan pengamatan, diperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa metodepembelajaran berbasis game ini layak untuk digunakan sebagai media alternatif daninteraktif. Akan tetapi, penerapan metode ini perlu dilakukan pendampingan denganguru terkait, sehingga dapat terarah dengan baik sesuai tujuan belajar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the marketing mix of educational services at Muhammadiyah Plus Elementary School in Salatiga City which consists of products,prices, locations, promotions, human resources, physical evidence, and the learningprocess. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. Data is obtainedfrom the results of interviews directly to the speakers, environmental observationsthat support research, study documentation. This study uses a flow analysis model.Marketing education services are promotional activities regarding products, prices,locations, physical evidence / school infrastructure, and the process of schoolactivities carried out by people / human resources.

Abstract

The process of learning and teaching translation still becomes something difficult for teachers and students in Indonesia. Currently, the method used by teachers for teaching translation is still traditional method. Therefore, students feel bored while learning translation because they get the same instruction every time. Thus, it needs to implement a modern method for teaching translation to engage and motivate students in learning translation. The aim of the research was to find out the effective and appropriate method for teaching translation of secondary school students. In addition, it was to know the effectiveness of online media method for teaching translation. The research was a case study. The participants were students at secondary school. The collecting data was conducted by observing the students during Translation teaching and giving a questionnaire to participants.Based on the observation, it was found that traditional method was dominant used by teachers in Teaching translation. The implementation of online media gives a positive impact to students. Students become more active after learning by on-line media than traditional method. Therefore, teacher was not as the centered-point in the classroom, the lesson materials were more practical given and learned in the online media features class than in the traditional class. The teaching method in translation improved significantly in the online media features class because all were enhanced with interactive web technology. In addition, in the online media features class the students and teacher engaged in active learning and did problem solving together.

Abstract

This research  aim to description  about  usage  of textbook  in the effort increasing achievement of matter learning Travelling at educative participant of class VIII B State of Junior  High School  two Cawas  Region  Klaten  even semester  of school  year 2014/2015. Subject   and   research   data   source   is  22  students.   Data   collecting   method   applies observation, documentation,  and test. Data analysis applies critical analysis and comparability.  Indicator success of using minimal limit criteria 75 and complete target of100%. Research procedure applies cycle. Result of inferential research and solution: From continuation  data  of  enclosure  5,  yard,  data  obtained  from  finite  precycle  of  cycle  II, obtained  progress  of achievement  of student  learning  in study  of English  with  matter Travelling,  at precycle average of 76,1 and cycle I average of 78,7 and cycle II average of89,8 Of data is, seems to explain that happened increase of average of value from precycleto cycle I 2,6 numbers  (3,4%),  from cycle I to cycle II happened  increase  11,2 numbers (10,8%), from pasiklus to cycle II happened increase 12,1 numbers (16,8%). Highest value of phase  precycle  82 and cycle  I 84 and cycle  II 96. Seems  to explain  that from  phase precycle  to cycle I happened  increase  equal to 2 number (2,4%),  from cycle I to cycle II happened  increase 12 numbers  (14,2%),  and from precycle to cycle II happened  increase13,8 numbers (18,1%). Low value of phase precycle is obtained by 68 and cycle I 74 andcycle II 84. thereby, can be affirmed that from phase precycle to cycle I happened increase equal to 6 number (8,8%), from cycle I to cycle II happened increase 10 numbers (13,5%), and from precycle to cycle II happened increase 16 numbers (24%). Complete percentage learnt starts from precycle is obtained equal to 64% and cycle I is obtained equal to 90% and cycle II equal to 100%. Seems to explain that from phase precycle to cycle I happened increase equal to 26%, from cycle I to cycle II happened increase equal to 10%, and from precycle  to cycle  II happened  increase  equal  to 36%.  Thereby,  achievement  of student learning  in  study  of  English  with  matter  Travelling  from  finite  precycle  of  cycle  II happened increase significant.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1). Mendeskripsikan karakteristik perencanaan prakerindi SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo, (2). Mendiskripsikan karakteristik pelaksanaanPrakerin di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo, (3). Mendiskripsikan karakteristikpenilaian Prakerin di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo. Jenis penelitian ini adalahpenelitian kualitatif dengan desain diskriptif. Nara sumber dalam penelitian adalahkepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, ketua pokja prakerin , kepala program keahlian,guru produktif dan pimpinan industri. Metode pengumpulan data adalah observasi,wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian adalah (1).Perencanaan prakerin meliputi : pemetaan industri, program prakerin, waktu prakerin, pembekalan prakerin, dan penetapan guru pembimbing, (2).Pelaksanaan prakerin meliputi pengorganisasian, penyerahan siswa prakerin ke industri, monitoring siswa prakerin, dan penarikan siswa prakerin ke Sekolah. (3). Penilaian prakerin ada dua tahap, yaitu penilaian oleh pembimbing industri dan pembimbing Sekolah dengan parameter nilai dari industri (IN) diberi bobot 60 %, nilai jurnal prakerin (JP) diberi bobot 10 %, nilai ujian lisan (UL) diberi bobot 20 %, dan nilai laporan (LP) diberi bobot 10 %. Sehingga nilai total hasil prakerin siswa adalah : 0,6 (IN) + 0,1(JP) + 0,2 (LP) +0,1 (LP).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, dan (3)penilaian pengelolaan pembelajaran praktek Teknik Pemesinan di SMK Pancasila 1Wonogiri.Jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan desain etnografi. Teknik pengumpulandata wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data analisis modelinteraktif, dengan proses pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi.Keabsahan data dengan triangulasi sumber. Pengujian data dengan menggunakanteknik triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian :(1) perencanaan pembelajaran praktek pemesinan meliputi penyusunan program, perumusan tujuan dan sasaran program dengan tujuan mendapatkan persamaan persepsi seluruh warga sekolah tentangperencanaan yang sudah di buat, (2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran di SMK Pancasila 1 Wonogiri kepala sekolah memberikan penilaian terhadap guru, kepala KompetensiKeahlian (K3) melakukan pengawasan pembelajaran praktek pemesinan secaramenyeluruh, guru praktek teknik pemesinan melaksanakan pembelajaran praktekproduktif secara teori dan praktek, pembelajaran teori membekali dan memperkenalkan praktek yang dilaksanakan sedangkan pembelajaran praktek mendemonstrasikan bagian mesin, mengoperasikan mesin, penggunaan alat, pemilihan bahan, dan mengerjakan benda kerja,(3) Penilaian pembelajaran dimonitor oleh kepala sekolah, Ketua Kompetensi Keahlian (K3) melakukan penilaianpelaksanaan dan sarana prasarana pembelajaran praktek pemesinan, guru melakukan evaluasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan penilaian hasil kegiatan praktek produktif siswa.

Abstract

Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) merupakan mata ajar wajib yang diajarkan di sekolah dasar dan menegah. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada pembelajaran IPA adalah terjadinya kecemasan pada siswa. Kecemasan pada IPA terjadi di berbagai spektrum populasi siswa, mulai dari kelompok minoritas, sampai pada kebangsaan dan gender tertentu. Di Indonesia, kecemasan IPA juga telah terjadi, dan menjadi  masalah serius. Saat ini beberapa solusi untuk mengatasi kecemasan IPA sudah dapat dilakukan, diantaranya melalui pembelajaran tematik, pengembangan sekolah anak berbakat, pendekatan psikoterapi, pendekatan spiritualisme, kondisi kelas yang positif, Problem Based Learning, dan teknologi informasi. Namun, keberhasilan semua pendekatan tersebut baru dapat terjamin jika guru dapat menjalankan peran sebagai motivator bagi siswa.

Abstract

School leadership is a crucial topic in the improvement of education quality through the role of educational leaders in leading and managing schools effectively and efficiently. Accordingly, the quality of the school leadership is urgent to discuss further. In particular, school leadership skill is an urgent component of which must be carried by the leader if the school will be successful. The main purpose of this study is to explore the school principal skills. A narrative literature review was used to conduct this study in order to investigate and describe the school leadership skills. Based on the result of the review, it was identified the five school leadership skills that can be implemented in the practice of the Indonesian school context. Those skills consist of time management, strategic management, cognitive, interpersonal, and decision-making. All skills are fundamental aspects to build for the betterment of educational management, particularly in managing the school. Theoretically and practically contributions of this study were discussed. Therefore, various research and literature reviews are recommended to conduct for the establishment of the school leadership unity for the Indonesian school context.
