Abstract

Artikel ini membahas ritual katoba di Muna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap simbol-simbol dalam ritual, serta mengetahui perubahan dinamis yang terjadi dalam tradisi komunitas ritual katoba di Muna. Jenis penlitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik reduksi, tampilan, dan verifikasi data. Teori simbol Victor Turner digunakan untuk menganalisis makna simbolik yang terkandung dalam ritual katoba. Selain itu, teori dinamika perubahan dapat digunakan untuk melihat permasalahan-permasalahan yang muncul dalam ritual katoba di era kontemporer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat makna dalam ritual katoba.. Makna tersebut berasal dari artikel simbolik (aspek materialistis dari ritual katoba) dan aksi simbolik (aspek non-objek) di setiap tahapannya. Perubahan dinamis yang terjadi di masyarakat Muna berpengaruh terhadap pelaksanaan ritual katoba. Selain itu, kehadiran lembaga pendidikan formal ternyata mampu menggeser atau menggantikan peran ritual katoba di tengah-tengah masyarakat Muna.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to construct the tafseer methodology of Hassan Hanafi in which he applies a new way of reading texts. The methodology used in this research is descriptive method using content analysis of literature. The main finding of this article is the existence of a new model of reading the text (Qur’an) offered by Hassan Hanafi in his Tafseer method. The uniqueness of the Tafseer methodology is the effort to incorporate social reality into the text. Departing from this reality, the text is "engineered" to overcome humanitarian problems. Thus the meaning of the text is directed to provide theological direction for efforts to solve human problems. In Hassan Hanafi's view, the text must be the theological foundation for humanitarian action. The essence of his specific view is that Tafseer does not pretend to seek universal meaning, but it looks for the temporal meaning that the Qur'an gives to certain generations by ignoring past and future interests. This kind of Tafseer always refers to the experience of Tafseer and its contemporary problems which put more emphasis on solving human social problems (al-manhaj al-tafsir al-ijtima'i) in the present context. The original aspect of this research is the reconstructing of Hassan Hanafi's thoughts in understanding the Qur'an progressively in opposition to the main mainstream Tafseer of the Qur'an in Muslim circles.

Abstract

Salah satu ajaran al-Quran yang juga menjadi basis dalam ajaran Islam ialah tentang filantropi. Telah banyak mufasir yang menafsirkan filantropi dalam karyanya masing-masing sebagai jawaban atas problem sosial yang dihadapi pada masanya. Artikel ini membahas tentang filantropi  dalam tafsir Fayd al-Rahman karya Kiai Shalih Darat Semarang. Dalam artikel ini digunakan metode deskriptis-analitis dengan meminjam teori sosiologi pengetahun Karl Mannheim sebagai pisau analisinya. Kiai Shalih Darat memiliki gaya penafsiran yang berbeda dengan mufasir lain yakni dengan ciri khas nuansa sufi-ishari. Kiai Shalih Darat mengaplikasikan corak penafsirannya dalam menafsirkan ayat-ayat filantropi. Bentuk-bentuk filantropi dalam Fayd al-Rahman antara lain zakat, sedekah, dan infaq. Sebagaimana ciri khas penfasiran sufi-ishari, Kiai Shalih Darat menafsirkan ayat-ayat filantropi dengan mengadopsi dua makna sekaligus (dhahir-batin). Namun sisi esoteric (batin) lebih diutamakannya.  Dalam penafsirannya tersebut, Kiai Shalih Darat mencoba untuk menjawab problem sosial yang ia hadapi di kota Semarang. Kehidupan Semarang saat itu identic dengan menjamurnya tindak a-moral pada diri masyarakatnya, sehingga perlu untuk adanya pembinaan hati untuk menjadi masyarakat yang bermoral.

Abstract

The global co-19 pandemic changed the various settings of life, including the implementation of the Hajj and related matters such as the pattern of providing guidance to the departing pilgrims.The government is continually seeking to improve the quality of the implementation of the hajj, but it always leaves problems, one of which is the implementation of hajj manasik guidance that have not been optimal. The level of understanding of pilgrims who are relatively low on fiqh / hajj manasik has not been able to deliver them into pilgrims who have independence and endurance and become a mabrur hajj. For this reason, innovation is needed in implementation of the hajj manasik guidance that are trully effective for adequate understanding of the pilgrims to the fiqh / hajj manasik, without having to burden the budget to the governmen. An alternative that can be done is independent manasik guidance. Independent hajj manasik guidance is a manasik activities are carried out independently by prospective pilgrims, the budget is not provided by the government, and is carried out by the district religious affairs office in collaboration with a hajj officer alumni, alumni of certification hajj guidance participants, Hajj Guidance Group, Indonesian Hajj Fraternity Association, and other competent parties.

Abstract

Pada 2 Desember 2018 jutaan Muslim di seluruh negeri berkumpul di Jakarta dan bertemu di jantung ibu kota Indonesia, Monumen Nasional dan sekitarnya (Monas). Ini bukan yang pertama karena setidaknya dua peristiwa serupa yang dikenal sebagai peristiwa 212 dan 411 pernah terjadi sebelumnya, juga di tempat yang sama. Meskipun, pertemuan itu dihadiri oleh tokoh-tokoh pemimpin agama terkemuka, dari pidato, simbol, dan pesan yang dikirim ke publik, lebih tepat disebut sebagai acara politik yang berdasarkan sentimen keagamaan daripada pertemuan atau ritual keagamaan. Tujuan akhir dari pertemuan tersebut adalah, sangat mungkin, untuk memberikan tekanan politik pada rezim. Dengan demikian, apa yang mereka harapkan bahwa peristiwa politik sebesar itu diliput oleh media massa dan diekspos di seluruh dunia. Sementara itu, media massa telah enggan untuk membuat liputan tersebut. Menanggapi perilaku politik media yang tidak biasa, umat Islam yang mendukung tekanan politik terhadap rezim cenderung mengoptimalkan penggunaan media sosial yang lebih sulit dikendalikan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan fenomena komunikasi politik Indonesia, pola hubungan antara Media, Negara, dan Komunitas Islam, dan juga untuk menjawab mengapa Media Indonesia menjadi perilaku satu sisi sesaat sebelum pemilihan nasional yang populer disebut "demokratis pesta" terjadi . Metode penelitian meliputi penelitian kualitatif, yaitu data primer spesifik yang dikumpulkan melalui penelitian kepustakaan, kemudian ditafsirkan untuk menemukan generalisasi. Wawancara dengan para ahli dilakukan untuk menganalisis kasus-kasus tertentu.

Abstract

Manuskrip ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan usaha penulis dalam memberi pemahaman kepada delapan kelompok penghayat kepercayaan di Kabupaten Kudus beserta respon Muslim terhadapnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan analisis kualitatif deskriptif mengunakan metode wawancara dan observasi. Berdasarkan Keputusan Mahkamah Konstituni No. 97/PUU-XIV/20016 yang menyatakan bahwa penghayat kepercayaan setara dalam hal keagamaan. Sehingga, mereka kemudian mengubah kolom agama pada Kartu Tanda Penduduk (KTP) mereka menjadi penghayat kepercayaan. Menggunakan tanda strip (-) pada KTP mereka merupakan salah satu wujud penolakan bagi penghayat kepercayaan Persada dan Samin. Sebaliknya, keenam kelompok penghayat kepercayaan tetap menulis Islam sebagai agama mereka karena menurut mereka, dengan mengubah agama mereka dapat menimbulkan beberapa keresahan meliputi (1) penolakan pada pemakaman umum, (2) perlakuan diskriminatif bagi anak-anak mereka yang mencari pekerjaan, dan (3) kesulitan dalam mencari pasangan hidup, terutama bagi penghayat kepercayaan wanita. Selain itu, keberadaan mereka dianggap sebagai organisasi spiritual yang tidak terkait dengan status keagamaan.

Abstract

This article has two tasks. First, explore the hadith which are the basis of Islamic arguments for religious tolerance. The second builds the hadith argument for tolerance. Researchers found in the popular hadith codification such as Shahih Bukhari and Shahih Muslim, explicitly difficult to find hadith tolerance. This problem is the basis of the building arguments for the perception that Islam does not teach tolerance, Islam is not a tolerant religion. Researchers find tolerance hadiths in popular codification more than the themes of mu’amalah and social relations. Tolerance hadiths are very much found in the theme of the faith. From tolerance traditions found to be able to roast the perception of Islam is not a tolerant religion. Researchers build Islamic arguments for tolerance based on tolerance traditions that have been collected. Researchers found that Islam is a religion that is peaceful and puts forward tolerant attitudes in religion and in social life. Islam as other religions is present as a religion that calls for good and forbids from bad attitudes and actions. Bad attitudes and actions arise from the selfhood of humans who come out of fitrah.

Abstract

Interpretive research cannot be separated from methodology. As time goes by, efforts to understand God's words in the Qur'an and human efforts are growing. Reading the Qur'an will occur and develop from time to time both in terms of mode of interpretation, epistemology, methodology, etc. As long as the interpretation process is carried out, it will not stop. When interpreting the Qur'an, each interpreter will be influenced by the social and cultural conditions in which he lives, and the political situation around him has a great influence on him, as was Abu Marwan bin Musa. Tafsīr Hidāyat al Insān bi Tafsīr al-Qur`ān written by Abu Marwan bin Musa is one of the products of contemporary interpretation, as is the case in 21. The book of Tafsīr Hidāyat al Insān bi Tafsīr al-Qur`ān uses the ittijāh al-salafī paradigm to interpret verses Quran verses. In this study, the author examines the method of interpretation of Abu Marwan bin Musa in the book "Tafsīr Hidāyat al Insān bi Tafsīr al-Qur'ān" and evaluates the book. Therefore, the author tries to look at the methodology of Abu Marwan bin Musa in this book.

Abstract

Due to al-Qur'an shalih likulli zaman wa makan, al-Qur'an should be interpreted appropriately to the demands of life. Apparently, life has changed in various circumstances, in lifestyles, human relations, globalization, migration, advanced science, and sophisticated technology. The modernization has led to serious problems related to the Qur’an as the main source of Islamic jurisprudence emerging “unable to operate”, except by a few Muslims. If there is no re-interpretation of the Qur’anic verses, there is a possibility Islamic jurisprudence will be rejected, considered irrelevant, and counter-productive to the needs of the life. To be able to reinterpret, a maqashidi interpretation approach is required to construe the Qur’an, especially in the ethics-legal verses. There are two significant implications in the maqashidi’s interpretation approach; first, the maqashidi interpretation paradigm is the mindset and perspective of the Qur’an and its interpretation with the concept of maqashid al-shari'ah as its starting point. The concept of maqashid becomes the main basis in reasoning and which forms the interpretation system. Second, the method of interpreting maqashidi’s approach emphasizes on three pillars, namely historical awareness (al-wa’yu al-tarikh), theoretical awareness (al-wa'yu al-nazhari), praxis awareness (al-wa'yu al-‘amali). Practically, the steps of maqashidi's interpretation are contextualization, decontextualization, and re-contextualization.

Abstract

The Islamic Sharia that primarily originates from the Qur'an and Hadith has the concept of Maqashid Sharia to realize benefits and prevent mafsadat. Every text of the Qur'an and Hadith implies realizing benefits and prevent mafsadat. Najmuddin Al-Thufy attempts to contrast the holy text with the concept of maslahat. He attempts to separate the concept of maslahat from the Qur'an and Hadith. In this study, the researchers intend to criticize Al-Thufy's thoughts about the contradiction of the Maslahat and the Qur'an as the holy text.
