Abstract

The purpose of this study is to further analyze extended systemic entrepreneurship intention and its effect towards college students in Surabaya. This study used purposive sampling towards 118 college students. This study used partial least square through SmartPLS. The findings of this study are: 1) perceived convenience have a positive significant impact towards entrepreneurial intention, 2) risk tolerance have a positive significant impact towards entrepreneurial intention,3) perceived feasibility does not affect entrepreneurial intention, 4) personal attitude does not affect entrepreneurial intention and lastly entrepreneurial intention have a positive significant impact towards entrepreneurial behavior. This study implies that academic institution needs to further ensure students, that becoming an entrepreneur is still a promising career choice amidst the scarcity of job-vacancy in the current market and job layoffs trend during covid-19 pandemic. This study also implies that students risk tolerance and their positive perception towards entrepreneurship were a distinctive quality, hence the need of the academic institution to further develop their intention to become an entrepreneur after graduation.

Abstract

This research aims to look at the effect of stock splits on stock prices with variable liquidity as intervening. The research sample consisted of 83 companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) that conducted a stock split corporate action in the period 2015-2020 with the requirement that the stock be active in stock trading (no suspension for a long time). The data taken on the study was 5 days before the stock split and 5 days after the stock split. Analysis tools used in the form of IBM SPSS 25 with methods of Path Analysis and Sobel Test. The results of the study found that: 1) stock split has a significant positive effect on stock prices and liquidity, 2)liquidity has a significant effect on stock prices, but is unable to mediate the effect of stock splits on stock prices.

Abstract

This study analyses the factors that impact the stock return, whether financial distress, earnings (per share), and price to book value affect the stock return. The sample data used are secondary data with a sample using 28 listed manufacturing companies with a decade of 2012-2021 with a total sample of 209, with 71 data being excluded because they do not fit the criteria-the data processed with moderated regression analysis using statistic software. The statistic test showed earnings (per share), financial distress and price to book value have no impact on stock returns. This research also uses the firm size as moderating variable and the Investment Opportunity Set as the control variable. Firm size has no role in moderating the independent variables on stock returns. Investment Opportunity Set (IOS) affects stock returns.

Abstract

Multi-channel integration is a prerequisite for omni-channel retail success. Implementation of good multi-channel integration increases satisfaction and has an impact on long term relationships with customers, one of which is customer loyalty. This research was conducted in a retail department store in the city of Palembang, namely Matahari Department Store (MDS). This study distributed questionnaires to 200 respondents who were buyers at MDS on at least two channels owned by MDS. The data analysis technique uses path analysis with the help of SPSS. The results show that multi-channel integration indirectly affects customer loyalty through satisfaction.

Abstract

This explanatory study aimed to examine the mediating role of innovation in influencing resource-based view strategy and entrepreneurial orientation on competitive advantage. The samples taken in the study were 100 handicraft Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Malang, Indonesia. The data was collected using a quantitative approach by distributing a survey. Validity and reliability tests have been passed before testing the actual data analysis with SEM-PLS. The results indicate that innovation significantly mediates resource-based view strategy and entrepreneurial orientation on competitive advantage. If SMEs strive to achieve a highly competitive advantage through resource-based view strategies and entrepreneurial orientation, the ability to innovate has an essential role in this relationship. Hence, SMEs need to have good resources and adequate skills to enhance attitudes such as continuously developing innovative products, being brave in taking existing risks, and always making innovations. These strategy options can help the success in achieving a competitive advantage.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of liquidity, leverage, profitability, bond securities, and maturity variables on bond ratings of entities that issue bonds on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and PT Pefindo's rating list for the period 2019 - 2021. The objects used in this study are all bond issuer companies that have been recorded in PT Pefindo and have complete financial reports on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for 2019 - 2021. There are 11 bond issuer companies used as samples with 3 years of observation so that a sample of 33 is obtained. Sampling is determined by using a purposive sampling, while the insightful strategy utilized is calculated relapse examination. The result shows that liquidity (CR), leverage (DER), profitability (ROA), bond securities and maturity affect on the bond rating. This shows that liquidity, leverage, profitability, bond securities, and maturity have an impact on bond ratings for bond issuer’s entities.

Abstract

Study on the impact of investment risk-taking on the performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are still inconsistent. This study provides novelty to the relationship between the two variables by adding moderating variables of information technology and religiosity. This study took a sample of 94 SME owners in Banyumas Regency. The results show that the influence of investment risk-taking and information technology has no significant results. The higher level of religiosity of the SME owners will be able to improve the company's performance. The moderating relationship between information technology and investment risk-taking shows significantly positive results. In contrast, the moderating effect of the religiosity variable will further reduce the effect of investment risk-taking on company performance.

Abstract

Industrial centers are often used as places for small and medium enterprise (SMEs) development activities and sources of regional income. This includes wooden batik centers in the DIY Province, namely in Putat Village, Gunung Kidul Regency, and Sendangsari Village, Bantul Regency. However, the development activities of SMEs in industrial centers in Indonesia were not optimal, one of the reasons is the management strategy. Therefore, this article contains a comparative study of management styles of development activities, using qualitative research methods, with multiple cases.  The results showed that there was a different management style of SMEs development activities in the wooden batik center, where the management style of the wooden batik center SMEs development activity in Putat Village which was applied by the management of Kopinkra Sumber Rejeki Makmur as a center development institution was authoritarian, so the management system tends to be closed. In contrast to the management style of SMEs development activities in the wooden batik center in Sendangsari Village, which is applied by the Sido Katon Cooperative management as a development center institution assisted by the Pokdarwis Institute and BPDW Krebet Binangun, it is democratic, so the management system tends to be open.

Abstract

This study refers to a phenomenon among Balinese business practices that is faced with new situations so that a conflict arises between beliefs and something that must be lived but is considered contrary to attitudes. The new situation is the impact of the pandemic that can affect business continuity. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Cognitive Dissonance on Business Longevity and the effect of Cognitive Dissonance on Business Longevity moderated by Spiritual Values. The research method used is quantitative method and purposive sampling as sampling. The data obtained were then processed with SPSS. This study has a sample of 120 respondents who are business practices in Badung, Bali. The results showed that Cognitive Dissonance had a significant effect on Business Longevity. Moreover, there is no moderating effect exerted by Spiritual Value in the relationship between Cognitive Dissonance and Business Longevity. However, this study found that Spiritual Values can have a partial effect on Business Longevity.
