Abstract

The entrepreneurial orientation that affects the performance of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Jember is a research objective. The study population was 172 micro, small and medium enterprises in Jember. This research uses 100 respondents with simple random sampling technique. The research respondents were the owners of the MSME as informants. Collecting data by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS) software. The results showed that the autonomous dimension had a significant effect on the performance of MSMEs, while the other dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation: innovation, proactivity and risk had no significant effect.

Abstract

This research is aimed to investigate the influence of gender diversity and educational level in board of commissioner on the performance of non-financial company listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange for 2013-2017 period. Gender diversity as the first research variable was measured by female existence as the head of commissioner, female existence on board of commissioner and its proportion. Meanwhile, education level of female in board of commissioner as the second variable was measured with dummy 1 for master and doctoral graduate and 0 for other levels. Next, the company performance variable is proxied with a return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE), and Tobin’s Q. The model employed in this research was an unbalanced data panel using fixed and random effect model approach. The results show that gender diversity has a significant impact on ROA, but an insignificant impact on ROE and Tobin’s Q. Further, education does not have a significant impact on financial performance. In general, board characteristics do not have an important role in determining financial performance.

Abstract

Batik SMEs in Lendah District are facing business challenges during the pandemic. The challenge is the decline in sales of batik cloth. The decline in sales of batik cloth has an impact on the performance of Batik SMEs in the Lendah District. Performance is the achievement of specified organizational goals. The purpose of this research is to look at cost leadership strategies and differentiation strategies as a mediation of entrepreneurial orientation and performance in Batik Lendah SMEs, Kulon Progo. This research includes quantitative research with a survey method to 55 owners/managers of Batik SMEs in Lendah District. Data collection using a questionnaire and analyzed using SmartPLS 3.0. The results show: 1) entrepreneurial orientation had a significant positive effect on performance, 2) entrepreneurial orientation had a significant positive effect on cost leadership strategy, 3) entrepreneurial orientation had a significant positive effect on a differentiation strategy, 4) cost leadership strategy had a significant positive effect on performance, 5) differentiation strategy has a significant positive effect on performance, 6) entrepreneurial orientation and performance can be mediated by the application of cost leadership strategy, 7) entrepreneurial orientation and performance can be mediated by differentiation strategy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of cognitive absorption in affecting a user's desire to use online shopping application on a regular basis. The methodologies used in this investigation are quantitative method. Primary data were collected through delivering questionnaires to individuals who met the criteria. Users of e-commerce application like Tokopedia, Shopee, Bukalapak, Lazada, Blibli, and others make up the study's demographic. A total of 253 respondents was randomly sampled using the accidental sampling method. Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis is used in this study. The findings of this study indicate that cognitive absorption did not affect continuance intention directly, but the indirect effect construct a significant relationship. The indirect effect is derived from the mediation of the variables of perceived usefulness and satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the adoption of m-payment in Indonesia during pandemic Covid-19 using the technology acceptance model (TAM) and unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT), particularly to examine its impact on intention to recommend. The population in this study is users of digital payment from several applications such as GoPay, OVO, Dana, Linkaja, and Shopeepay. The research sample was taken using purposive sampling technique with a minimum of 125 respondents. A total of 213 questionnaires was obtained from the respondent of m-payment users in Jakarta, Tanggerang, Bandung and Serang. Using PLS-SEM, it is found that usefulness, ease of use, visibility and security affect intention to use m-payment, with relative advantage has no significant effect on intention to use. In addition, intention to recommend m-payment is influenced by intention to use.

Abstract

Business resilience research has increased rapidly and received attention from researchers. However, the literature still provides few definitions, measurements, and variables that affect the concept. Therefore, there is still a gap in contributing the latest knowledge related to these fields and putting it in this journal article. On this occasion, researchers pay special attention to the resilience of SMEs in developing countries. The importance of SME business for the national economy so that it requires attention in resilience research. The researcher applies a well-structured systematic literature review procedure. This journal article offers (1) a review of the SME resilience literature from 2015 to November 2021, consisting of 72 articles, and (2) a review, specifically for developing countries. This review concludes that the definition of resilience varies widely, and its measurement and the factors that influence it vary widely. Not much resilience research has paid attention to the context of SMEs in developing countries. Based on the review results, researchers present features that can distinguish resilience; provide an alternative to add to the theoretical basis for research on resilience in the future.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial orientation is an important mechanism for small and medium enterprises to persist in a dynamic business atmosphere. This study intends to inspect the role of competitive advantage in the connection between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance Small and medium business women entrepreneurs where the population of this study. They were engaged in culinary businesses registered with the Department of Cooperatives SMEs, Padang City, West Sumatra. The random sampling method in a survey method is used in data collection. The Slovin formula with the calculation results of 97 culinary SMEs. This study used the SmartPLS (Partial Least Square) program in analyzing the data and test hypotheses. The results of hypothesis testing showed that competitive advantage significantly affects the connection between entrepreneurial orientation and women's business performance. This study suggests that the women entrepreneurs with entrepreneurial orientation attitudes are to create added value and competitive advantage for the businesses. Hence, their businesses have more advantages than the other similar businesses, which do not have an entrepreneurial orientation attitude.

Abstract

These points of research to analyze the effect of e-service quality and e-trust on customer satisfaction and loyalty of internet banking users. The population in this research was Bank of Kaltimtara customers who had used internet banking services. The sampling technique in this study used a non-probability sampling technique with the accidental sampling method with a total sample of 105 respondents. We performed data analysis using PLS (Partial Least Square) software. The results show that: 1) e-service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, 2) e-service quality has an insignificant effect on customer loyalty, 3) e-trust has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, 4) e-trust has an insignificant effect on customer loyalty, 5) customer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, 6) e-service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction, and 7) e-trust has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction. The limitations of research on the use of internet banking, comparisons can be made with other regional banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

The concept of green tourism has been promoted in several countries to reduce carbon emissions resulting from tourism management and hotel operator practices. Thus, environmental development is very important to minimize the environmental impact of declining tourists due to attraction to nature-based destinations. Therefore, structured tourism activities are required, and attractiveness for tourism sustainability assessment of progress is a high priority. Our research model tends to examine and analyze aspects of tourist behavior towards green tourism sustainability and investigate the relevant linkages to see their tourism behavior that is environmentally responsible. The location of this study is in Batu City, with a total sample of 300 people who have visited Batu City. The variables in this study consist of the independent variable (X) there are 2 variables (Green Tourism Perception (GTP) and Environmental Concern (EC)) the variable between the Intention of Participation in Green Tourism (IPGT) (Z) and the dependent variable: Environmentally Responsible Tourism Behavior  (ERTB) (Y) with analysis technique using regression test of 2 models. The results show that: 1) the direct effect of Green Tourism Perception (GTP) on Environmentally Responsible Tourism Behavior (ERTB) was not significant, 2) the direct effect of GTP on ERTB was not significant, 3) the relationship between GTP and ERTB would be significant if mediated by Intention of Participation in Green Tourism (IPGT)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to prove the moderating role of leverage and firm size on the CSR relationship with manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2020. Purposive sampling used resulted in 82 companies. This data analysis method uses Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) through ordinary least squares (OLS) in stages to see the moderating function of leverage and firm size. The results of the study prove that leverage plays a role in moderating the negative effect of CSR on firm value. Meanwhile, firm size is not proven to moderate the relationship between CSR and firm value.
