Abstract

Human resources is an important factor in the organization. This reason  underlied the need to create work motivation in working field. Motivation is influenced by the desire to achieve goals, both individual goals or organization goals. Those can be seen through psychological contract and person-organization fit. The purpose of this study is: 1) to determine the relation of psycological contract and person-organization fit with work motivation on the go-car drivers, 2) to determine the relation between psycological contract with work motivation on the go-car drivers, 3) to determine the relation between person-organization fit with work motivation on the go-car drivers. This study uses a purposive random sampling with sample of 81 go-car drivers in Surakarta.     The result of this research shows there is a significant positive relation between psychological    contract and  person-organization fit with work motivation on the go-car drivers  https://doi.org/10.26905/jmdk.v6i2.2357

Abstract

Motivation of employees will be a determining factor for the success of the company, especially in in the hotel industry, where contact between employees and customers is relatively intensive. The quality of work will decrease if employees unsatisfied and it can be felt directly by guests. One of important variables that can affect working motivation is compensation. Good compensation will encourage employees to work well and more productive. Working motivation is also closely related to proactive behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between employees perceptions of compensation and proactive behavior to working motivation. The respondents are 700 employees working in 37 stars and non-star hotels throughout Indonesia. The result shows that there is a relationship between employees perceptions of compensation and proactive behavior to working motivation.   https://doi.org/10.26905/jmdk.v6i2.2362

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and measure the effect of internal performance and macroeconomics conditions  on profitability in Indonesian banking (conventional  and syariah bank) from 2015-2017. This research uses Granger of Causality and Vector Autoregressive (VAR)/Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) as a data analysis tool. The conclutions of this research  are: 1)  For conventional banks: the factors that have a positive influence to profitability (ROA) are BI Rate, NPL, inflation, and loan to   deposit ratio; 2) For Islamic banks: the factors that  have a positive influence to profitabilty (ROA) are exchange rate and inflation   https://doi.org/10.26905/jmdk.v6i2.2374

Abstract

The speed of ICT developments, specifically in internet and mobile technologies, have highlighted the rising importance of the Business Model (BM) in the digital economy era. Digital business is very complex, dynamic and  high levels of uncertainty and competition (disruptive). This study analyzes how Radio Suara Surabaya adopts and employs the convergence media in their business activities to anticipate and exploit the opportunity within the disruptive era. The data collection technique uses a mixed methods model Sequential Exploratory Design, where qualitative data includes semi-structured interviews, observations, discusion group focus with stakeholders, while quantitative data includes distributing questionnaires to stakeholders. This study reveal that the adoption of convergence media conducted by Radio Suara Surabaya can maintain their existence within the turbulent business landscape. https://doi.org/10.26905/jmdk.v6i2.2435

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the  direct and indirect influence of lecturer performance variables on grade point average through learning motivation at the Palembang City Private University. Total samples of this study are 386 respondents taken with accidental sampling techniques. Data analysis uses a path analysis. The results show that: 1) directly, the lecture strategy and lecture evaluation have a significant effect on student learning motivation. While the appearance and discipline of time and lecture material do not affect student learning motivation significantly; 2) directly, lecture material, lecture strategy, lecture evaluation, and student learning motivation have a significant effect on grade point average. While the appearance and time discipline do not affect grade point average significantly; and 3) indirectly, the motivation variable can mediate the influence of lecture strategy variables and lecture evaluation on grade point average. While the lecture material does not have a significant effect on the grade point average through motivation variables as a mediation variable. https://doi.org/10.26905/jmdk.v6i2.2444

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the linkage of green supply chain management, environmental performance and financial performance. The research population are all restaurants in Malang with propotional random sampling as sampling technique. Primary data analysis technique using Partial Least Square (PLS). The result shows :1) green supply chain effect on financial performance, 2) green supply chain effect on to environmental performance, 3) environmental performance has no effect to financial performance, and 4) environmental performance does not mediate the influence of green supply chain to financial performance. It means, green supply chain is very important to improve financial performance, but environmental performance has not become a mediator in improving financial performance at restaurant business in Malang. https://doi.org/10.26905/jmdk.v6i2.2513

Abstract

In era of industry 4.0 revolution, the development of information technology makes the   lifestyle changes of modern generation (millennial generations born between 1980 to 2000). This aims of this study is to analyze how the behavior of millennial generations in using Go-food applications. The characteristics of the millennial generation in this study are:  1) user generated content (UGC); 2) take advantage of technology and information; 3) consumptive behavior; 4) tends lazy. The data analysis uses a descriptive analysis and  linear regression analysis. The results of data  analysis show that: 1) the millennial generation's  decision to use Go-food applications is influenced by behavior of  millennial generation; and 2) millennial generation's behavior which has a dominant influence in making decision to use Go-food appications  is consumptive behavior. https://doi.org/10.26905/jmdk.v6i2.2560

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of YouTube Advertising on brand awareness and purchase intention. This study uses a conclusive design with single cross sectional. The number of samples are 210 respondents who watched advertisements on Youtube as research objects. Entertainment, informativeness, irritation, credibility, brand awareness and purchase intention are used to discuss the results of research. The results of this study show that the Youtube Advertising dimension does not influencee brand awareness, but brand awareness has impact on purchase intention.https://doi.org/10.26905/jmdk.v7i1.2538

Abstract

This study aims to develop a model of creativity and innovation in building the entrepreneurial spirit. The population are 145 young people from the study group in Anyer District, Serang Regency. The location selection is based on the fact that young people in that area are more interested in working on the Cilegon industrial area than become entrepreneurs, while business opportunities in the digital economy era are wide open to the younger generation. The research data is collected by giving tests, questionnaires, guidelines, observations, interviews and documentation studies. The data is analyzed using descriptive analysis, percentage, with non-parameter statistics with Microsoft Excel, and SPSS 19. The results of this study show that: 1) model planning is ready to be carried out based on theory and empirical research results in field of entrepreneurship courses in structured concept;. 2) the process of applying this model is carried out in community learning groups through three stages: introductory material, model development, and model testing; 3) the model that encourages the development of creativity and entrepreneurial innovation towards community learning groups is a training model oriented to build the entrepreneurial spirit in the digital economic era; 4) This training model enables the creation of entrepreneurial institutions in the digital economic era that require more creativity and innovation.https://doi.org/10.26905/jmdk.v7i1.2548

Abstract

This study aims to assess the model city branding based on superior product through perception approach of brand box models. This study is conducted to explore consumer perceptions of a traditional medicinal herbal drink products”jamu” in order to build a city branding by medicinal product as region  superior product as part of the  local communities empowerment. Development of city branding is conducted by the exploration of perception approach of brand box models. Exploration of perception is conducted by ethnographic methods and netnographic methods in several target areas of research. The area regions of this research  are Soloraya region (subosukowonosraten) as the market potential of a city branding Sukoharjo.
