Abstract

This study aims to analyze the spatial ability of students using GeoGebra in solving students' spatial ability problems in the spatial geometry course. The research method used uses a descriptive qualitative method. The instrument used is a spatial ability test of spatial geometry which is arranged based on spatial ability indicators, namely visualization, spatial perception, mental rotation, spatial relation, and spatial orientation. The research subjects used were all students of the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) semester 3 classes A and B of the State Islamic University of Cyber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon (UIN SSC) totaling 49 students. The results of this study show that the spatial ability of students using GeoGebra in the spatial geometry course is very good with an overall score of 86.5 and a score per indicator, in the visualization indicator of 100, spatial perception of 92.65, mental rotation of 94.28, spatial relation of 53.06, and spatial orientation of 92.65.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether there is a significant simultaneous influence of self-confidence, practical experience, practical learning outcomes, entrepreneurial spirit on the entrepreneurial abilities of Fashion Design Vocational School students in Malang City. In this study, the sample of respondents was 134 students using quantitative methods. The analysis technique uses descriptive and inferential with hypothesis testing using partial correlation and multiple regression analysis techniques with classic assumption tests, namely normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test and heteroscedasticity test. The research is quantitative descriptive in nature. The results of the research show the influence of the independent variables, namely the influence of self-confidence (X1) of 0.00, practical experience (X2) of 0.00, practical learning outcomes (X3) of 0.17, and entrepreneurial spirit (X4) of 0. 01 with the dependent variable, namely entrepreneurial ability (Y) of 0.00, both partially and simultaneously, which is indicated by a probability value of 0.05 which is greater than the Sig probability. (0.05 > Sig), Ηα is accepted and Ηο is rejected, meaning it is significant. Based on the results of analysis using multiple linear regression, the influence of self-confidence, internship experience, practical learning outcomes and entrepreneurial spirit on entrepreneurial ability) on entrepreneurial ability is 85.87% so it can be said that self-confidence provides an effective contribution of 86%, experience industrial work contributed 86%, practical learning results contributed 1% and the entrepreneurial spirit contributed 17%.

Abstract

Abstract

Given that information and communication technology is still a luxury for poor students, especially in developing countries like South Africa. It is crucial to examine the extent of the inequalities and social marginalisation learners face due to lack of access to ICT, as well as the impact on their learning. This study, therefore, explores the use of ICT in public schools by synthesising existing literature on its effect on the teaching and learning of socially and economically marginalised learners. Using the qualitative research approach involving document analysis and literature review, this study reveals that lack of resources, skills and the costs of the internet have worsened hardship and limited poor students’ access to ICTs and the opportunities that come with it. Findings also revealed that the South African government’s policies on ICTs and inclusive education have not been well implemented, thereby resulting in the exclusion of many students who are not privileged to attend highly ranked schools or privileged to be born in upper/middle-class homes from ICTs. It is essential to review ICT and inclusive education policies, along with effective monitoring, to ensure proper implementation as well as prevent the exclusion of underprivileged students.
