Abstract

In the education system in Indonesia in the 21st century, students are required to have 4C skills, namely, (1) communication; (2) collaboration; (3) critical thinking ability; (4) creativity and innovation. The ability to collaborate is one of the main competencies that students must acquire to meet the needs and skills in the world of work. This research is in the form of a systematic literature study that aims to obtain media information, methods, results, and problems in the application of collaborative learning in an educational environment. Literature was obtained through the Scopus database with a boolean operator search technique, then 1446 literatures found were then filtered for reporting items for a systematic review and meta-analysis approach (PRISMA) so that 33 literatures on 21st century skills were obtained. The results showed that the media used could be through LMS, software, and games as well as the most dominant method used is Problem Based Learning (PBL) with additional media innovation or other methods. The use of these media and methods has a positive impact on improving learning outcomes and collaboration skills, students also feel motivated and challenged by collaboration, including the use of online media was able to increase students' lower self-confidence to collaborate. However, collaborative learning has several problems including, (1) current students tend to be non-homogeneous so they tend not to be ready for collaboration; (2) educators do not clearly know the obstacles of students when conducting online collaborative learning; (3) students lack experience with projects so they are reluctant to work in groups; (4) distance collaborative learning is not enough to capture social signals than face-to-face; (5) learning media has not been fully able to improve 21st century skills and objectives; (6) measuring tools for collaborative skills do not yet have sufficient indicator.

Abstract

This present study seeks to discover emotional and intellectual intelligence influences on teachers’ performance in the learning-teaching processes. The method used in this study is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using literature published between 2013 - 2022 accessed through Google Scholar. The study’s results indicate that emotional intelligence does not dominate in improving teachers’ performance in learning-teaching processes. Additionally, emotional intelligence and intellectual intelligence may or may not have an impact on teachers’ performance. In other words, factors besides intelligence can affect teachers’ performance in learning-teaching processes. This study recalls that teachers’ performance is influenced by elements other than emotional and intellectual competencies. To effectively attain educational goals, a balanced approach to education and the creation of appropriate coaching tactics are required. Therefore, further research is recommended to identify other factors influencing teachers’ performance in the learning-teaching processes to achieve educational goals effectively.

Abstract

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) utilizing inclusive education, related to education and employment, including targets 4 and 8, can be attained. Access to vocational education increases career and employment opportunities for all individuals. In reality, children with disabilities face learning obstacles. This study investigates how vocational education does implement and the barriers and factors that contribute to the success of students with impairments. The study used PICOC (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcomes, and Context) techniques. Data were gathered by cataloguing all pertinent scholarly articles published between 2017-2022. The study's findings show that several countries have adopted vocational education for people with disabilities. The accessibility of the media and curriculum affects how people with disabilities learn—adapting learning management techniques to the situations and capacities of students with disabilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how well high school students' reading comprehension and ability to analyse historical materials are improved by the Muara Takus Temple local history e-module. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-post-test control group was the study methodology employed. Students from SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang made up the 56-person sample for the study. The experimental group, which utilized the e-module, and the control group, which did not use the e-module, were the two groups formed from the research sample. Both a pre-test and a post-test were used to gather data. Data analysis using the t-test revealed that, in comparison to the control group, the experimental group significantly improved its capacity for evaluating historical materials (p-value = 0.001 <0.05). Thus, it was determined that the utilization of Candi Muara Takus' local history e-module had a substantial impact on students at SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang's ability to read and analyse historical texts. The study's conclusion is that the local history e-module has the potential to help students become more proficient readers and analysts of historical materials. This demonstrates the necessity of integrating technology into history instruction to improve students' analytical abilities and get them ready to comprehend history more fully.
