Abstract

This study investigates in-service teachers’ beliefs and perspectives towards teaching, and in specific concerning their participation in the TPE. This research seeks to understand teachers’ beliefs and values in teaching and learning, their needs regarding professional development, their perspectives on the TPE, and how their needs are accommodated in the TPE. This quantitative study involved in-service teachers (n=34) partaking in the TPE and the data collection using a closed-question questionnaire as the research instrument. This study uses descriptive statistics of Relative Important Indices (RII) as data analysis, which is a statistical tool to determine the factors that give weight to the respondents' perceptions by their level of importance. The findings of this study provide insights into teachers’ beliefs toward teaching and their professional practice, which lead to an understanding of their needs for professional education and acknowledging their views of the level of facilitation of their needs in the TPE. The findings highlight teachers’ beliefs in collaboration that are in line with their positive perspective of TPE, which has facilitated collaboration during the programme. The data also shows that 79% of respondents agree that assessment and classroom management should be a priority in the teacher education programme, which is aligned with their views that designing assessment was well facilitated during the subject-specific pedagogy workshop during the TPE. As a high-stakes programme held by the government to improve teachers’ quality in Indonesia, based on the findings it is recommended that TPE be revisited from the teacher’s perspective as the primary stakeholder, such as classroom management training.

Abstract

The Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach is a learning approach that is relevant to the Independent Curriculum which was recently launched by the government. This research aims to see how students' learning outcomes have improved after implementing the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 3 Medan in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The subjects in this research were 36 students in class XI 3-1. This type of research is classroom Action Research (PTK). Data collection techniques use observation and test techniques. The instruments used in this research were observation sheets, diagnostic assessment tests, and, student learning outcomes tests. The research results showed a significant increase from cycle I to cycle II in student completion percentage, average score, and number of students who reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). During the pre-cycle, the student's completion percentage was 30.55%, with an average class score of 62.72. In cycle I, the percentage of student completion was 66.66%, with an average score of 72.05. Meanwhile, in cycle II, the percentage of student completion increased to 83.33% with an average value of 85.27. In this way, the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the independent learning curriculum on student learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject at MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal research type. The population in this study were 250 students of class VII MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. Through the Slovin Technique, a sample of 70 people was obtained. The data collection technique used questionnaires, interviews, and observations. So that the data to be obtained is quantitative data. Primary data is obtained directly from distributing questionnaires and interviews with respondents in the field. While secondary data is obtained from the results of observations, documentation, and theories from the literature, background documentation and school activities at MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence in the implementation of the independent learning curriculum on learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject at MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung, which can be seen in the calculation of the correlation coefficient and t-test. From the results of the correlation coefficient calculation, it can be said that the level of significance is 33.2%, or 0.332 and the rest is influenced by other factors. So from the positive rcount and the tcount of 2.903 compared to ttable 1.668, so that tcount ttable, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, which means that there is a significant positive influence.

Abstract

The 21st century is an era where advances in technology, communication and informatics continue to develop following the times. The developments that occur in the 21st century affect various aspects of education. Where the choice of learning media is very influential in learning so that by utilizing technology that is attractive, picturesque, and easy to carry and anytime one of them is E-book media. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of E-books on Project-Based Learning-based virus materials on science literacy in class X of SMA Santun Untan Pontianak. The research method used is Research and Development (RD) with the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments used include validation sheets, response questionnaires, and posttest pretests. The research sample was taken using a saturated sampling technique, namely with the population of class X of SMA Santun Untan Pontianak. The data analysis techniques used are in the form of validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests. The results of the study showed that the average assessment from material and media experts reached 90.78% with very valid criteria. The average student response questionnaire was 93.12% with very practical criteria. Meanwhile, the average N-Gain from the pretest and posttest results reached 0.78 with high criteria. Based on these results, it can be concluded that e-books assisted by Project Based Learning-based Kodular Websites are very valid, very practical, and effective for students to use as learning support.

Abstract

Statistics plays a vital role in the process of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data that underpins evidence-based decision-making. In the context of education in the digital era, it is imperative for teachers to apply an inductive thinking approach in teaching statistics, especially at the elementary school level. This approach not only facilitates students’ understanding of statistical concepts but also helps them develop critical thinking skills needed to face the challenges of the 21st century. This study discusses how inductive thinking strategies can be applied in statistics learning in elementary schools with the support of digital technology. The results show that the use of digital technology can make the learning process more interesting and interactive, and support important skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking. However, challenges such as low digital literacy among teachers and limited technological infrastructure in some areas remain. To overcome this, adequate training for teachers and increased investment in educational technology infrastructure are needed. In addition, changes to traditional learning methods need to be made so that this strategy can be implemented more effectively. Overall, this study confirms that with the right application of the approach, inductive thinking can improve the quality of statistics learning in the digital era and help prepare students with relevant skills for the future.

Abstract

This research aims to provide a presentation on the results of the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in forming a mutual cooperation attitude of students at SMA Negeri 1 Garum. The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) is a project-based learning model that produces products. These project activities provide students with a meaningful and student-focused experience. This study uses a type of descriptive qualitative research. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Garum from April to May 2024. The subjects of this study are curriculum waka, classroom facilitator teachers and students of grades X and XI. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, open questionnaires and documentation. The data validity technique uses source triangulation and triangulation techniques. It is analyzed by reducing data, digesting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that the implementation of the Pancasila student profile strengthening project has an impact on shaping students' mutual cooperation attitudes with the ability to collaborate, care, and share.

Abstract

Pancasila Education plays a strategic role in shaping the character and national values of young generations. However, in the increasingly digital era, students' interest in this subject tends to decline due to teaching methods perceived as less engaging and interactive. Leveraging digital technology in learning is a relevant solution to address this challenge. One innovative approach that can be applied is the use of digital educational games such as Wordwall. Wordwall enables teachers to create interactive quizzes that support the learning process in a fun, effective, and digital-based manner. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Pasuruan City to examine the implementation of Wordwall in improving student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education. The objective of the study is to measure the extent to which the use of Wordwall can enhance students' learning motivation, conceptual understanding, and critical thinking skills. Furthermore, this research evaluates teachers' perceptions of Wordwall's effectiveness in the learning process. This study is expected to contribute to the development of innovative learning models, particularly in Pancasila Education. The findings are also anticipated to serve as a reference for teachers, schools, and policymakers in improving the quality of education in Indonesia, while also encouraging the optimal utilization of digital technology in education. Hence, it is hoped that students' interest and learning outcomes in Pancasila Education will increase significantly.

Abstract

This article aims to provide an overview of the poetry writing abilities of class VIII students at SMPN I Ndona for the 2023/2024 academic year through the use of the field trip method. The problem studied in this research is how to use the field trip method to improve the poetry writing ability of class VIII students at SMPN I Ndona for the 2023/2024 academic year? The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. Meanwhile, the theories used are writing skills theory, poetry theory, teaching and learning strategy theory, and learning outcomes evaluation theory. The population and sample used in this research were 32 students of SMPN I Ndona for the 2023/2024 academic year.  The data collection method is the test method and the data collection technique is the test technique.  The data analysis technique in this research uses scoring and statistical techniques. Data presentation techniques use formal and informal techniques. The research results showed that 32 class VIII students at SMPN I for the 2023/2024 academic year were able to write poetry using the field trip method with a percentage of 79.8% in the good category. With details, 20 students got a good assessment and 12 students got a fairly good assessment.

Abstract

Exemplary in a broad sense means exemplifying something. Actions that are imitated or imitated by others, such as a person's words, attitudes, and actions. Islamic morality is a value system based on the Koran and Hadith which regulates the attitudes and patterns of human behavior on earth. It seems that moral issues need serious attention, because if we don't address them, future generations of the nation will be destroyed. Researchers have identified a very noble figure to emulate: Fatimah as-Zahra. The research method used is library research. A literature review was carried out to find out the life story of Sayyidah Fatimah, characteristics and examples of exemplary behavior in various aspects of life. From the results of this research, Fatimah as-Zahra is recognized as the woman who rules heaven because she has the characteristics of perfect honesty and trustworthiness, always being loyal and obedient to her husband. Rahmat in carrying out his duties, responsible, generous and willing to sacrifice for others, tough in facing challenges, definitely social and religious, obedient to Allah SWT, but willing to pray for others before himself. At that time she was an intelligent woman, big-hearted, generous, patient in facing problems, and persistent in her preaching. Therefore, it is very important to emulate Sayyidah Fatimah in order to strengthen your Islamic character and become a better human being.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the school literacy movement and students' literacy skills. This study is a quantitative descriptive study with the analysis technique used, namely descriptive statistical analysis. The sample in this study were students of SMA Negeri 3 Salatiga Class X, XI and XII, both Language, Science and Social Studies classes, who participated in literacy activities and worked on the test questions given, namely 629 students. The results of this study explain that literacy activities at SMA Negeri 3 Salatiga are carried out routinely every day, namely 10 minutes before learning activities begin. Students are given readings and several test questions to measure students' literacy skills. The results of the analysis show that overall, 36.72% of students scored 83.33, followed by students who scored 66.67 as many as 19.87%. However, there are also quite a few students who scored 0, namely 4.93%, and those who scored 16.67 as many as 12.88%. The feedback that students gave the most was related to readings that could be more varied and interesting, as well as questions that were given that were too long, many and difficult.
