Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of inquiry learning model and mind mapping on the creative thinking ability of fourth grade elementary school students. The research method used is a combination method (Mixed Method Research) with a classroom action research approach and experiments using the Pre-experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of the study indicate that there are significant differences in students' creative thinking abilities based on the learning model applied. The inquiry learning model is proven to be more effective than mind mapping and conventional methods because it encourages concept exploration, problem solving, and improves high-level thinking skills. The mind mapping model also shows advantages over conventional methods in helping students organize and visualize information. Overall, the inquiry learning model has the most positive impact on students' creativity in understanding subject matter.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of an interactive learning media based on Lectora Inspire integrated with the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) approach in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at the elementary school level, specifically focusing on the topic of Energy Transformation in Grade IV. The research employed a Research and Development (RD) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires, using instruments such as expert validation sheets (content and media experts) and response questionnaires for teachers and students. The validation results indicated a high level of validity, with 87.5% from the content expert and 88.5% from the media expert. The small-scale trial showed a positive student response of 89%, while the large-scale trial yielded a response of 92.8%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the interactive learning media developed with Lectora Inspire and the STEAM approach is feasible for use and received highly favorable responses from users.

Abstract

Educational research plays an important role in the development of educational science and practice, especially in Islamic educational institutions, as an alternative solution to the reliance on experience and intuition, which tend to be subjective and biased. This article aims to analyze the types of educational research and their characteristics, and discuss their relevance in the preparation of quality scientific work in the context of Islamic educational institutions. The method used is library research with a descriptive approach. The research shows that with a comprehensive understanding with the selection of qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, and development research types must be adjusted to the objectives, context of the problem, and the needs of the analysis in order to produce relevant and in-depth scientific work in the environment of Islamic educational institution.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by scaffolding e-LKPD on the mathematical communication ability of eighth-grade students at SMP N 6 Jepara, analyzed based on their Self-Efficacy. Mathematical communication ability is crucial for students to understand processes, discussions, and decisions in mathematics , and low mathematical communication is associated with difficulties in solving mathematical problems. Self-efficacy is a factor that significantly influences students' mathematical problem-solving ability. This research used a Quasi-Experimental design with a Posttest Only Control Design. The sample was selected using a cluster random sampling technique, yielding two classes: Class VIII G as the experiment group (PBL model with scaffolding e-LKPD) and Class VIII F as the control group (conventional learning). The population for this study was all eighth-grade students at SMP N 6 Jepara during the 2025/2026 academic year. The research subjects were students from Class VIII SMP N 6 Jepara selected through random sampling. Pre-treatment data analysis confirmed that the two sample classes met the normality and homogeneity requirements. Final data analysis (posttest) using Two-Way ANOVA and Scheffe's follow-up test.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity of block center-based learning videos to improve the numeracy skills of early childhood, analyze the practicality of block center-based learning videos to improve the numeracy skills of early childhood, describe the effectiveness of block center-based learning videos to improve the numeracy skills of early childhood. The subjects of the study were students in the 4-5 year age group used, namely 20 children at Tarbiyatul Athfal II Kawak Kindergarten, Pakis Aji District, Jepara Regency, taken at the beginning of the 2022/2023 school year. This study uses the ADDIE model approach (Robert Maribe Branch., 2022) which consists of 5 steps, namely analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate. The research methods used are questionnaires, observation sheets and documents. The conclusion obtained is: Based on the results of the analysis of the Material Expert observation score data, it is proven that the block center-based learning video from the Material aspect is at a level of 94.23% in the very valid category, from the media aspect at a level of 93.33% in the very valid category. Based on the results of the teacher perception score analysis, it is proven that the block center-based learning video at an average level of 96.05% is in the very practical category and based on the perception of the child's parents an average of 88.75% is in the fairly practical category. The effectiveness of the block center-based learning video to improve numeracy literacy skills for kindergarten children based on the N Gain test, T Test, and Cohen D Test: (1) based on the results of the N Gain test, an average increase in gain of 0.56 (56%) was obtained, meaning that the increase in numeracy literacy ability scores was in the fairly effective category in the interval 56 - 75; (2) based on the t-test, the calculated t was 10.614 t-table (2.093), meaning that there was a significant difference in the numeracy literacy ability scores before and after treatment; (3) based on the Cohen d effectiveness test, it was 1.972 and the effect size was 0.702, with relatively moderate effectiveness (0.5 - 0.7 + is a moderate effect) meaning that the block center-based learning video had a relatively moderate effectiveness in improving the block center-based numeracy literacy abilities of early childhood children.

Abstract

Every employee needs a manager's learning style and a leader's leadership style that can improve employee performance, because with high employee performance, employee performance becomes more focused and organizational goals can be achieved more quickly. This study aims to determine the effect of learning style and leadership style on organizational effectiveness with employee performance as an intervening variable. The type of research used is explanatory research, with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used is proportionate stratified random sampling, with the determination of the number of samples using the Slovin formula and the number of samples obtained was 78 employees. Data sources were obtained from primary data by distributing questionnaires and secondary data with documentation. This study uses path analysis with the help of SPSS 25.0 software. The results of this study indicate that Manager Learning Style and Leadership Style have a significant effect on Organizational Effectiveness and Employee Performance. Organizational Effectiveness mediates Manager Learning Style and Leadership Style on Employee Performance. The most dominant variable in influencing Organizational Effectiveness and Employee Performance needs to be considered. The variable is Manager Learning Style, with Manager Learning Style, employees feel more motivated and their performance increases.

Abstract

Anak dengan spectrum autis merupakan suatu kondisi dimana terjadi hambatan pada perkembangan neurologis. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara terhadap guru ditemukan bahwa peserta didik autis pada fase C memiliki kemampuan komunikasi yang cukup baik. Namun perlu adanya kegiatan pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan komunikasi ekspresif peserta didik. Sehingga, perlu adanya kegiatan pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi ekspresif peserta didik autis pada fase C. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis mengenai pentingnya peran pembelajaran berbasis visual dan auditori bagi peserta didik autis pada fase C. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dari peneliti terdahulu, ditemukan hasil dimana kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis visual dan auditori memiliki peran penting bagi komunikasi ekspresif peserta didik autis pada fase C. Dimana peserta didik setelah diberi pembelajaran berbasis visual dan auditori peserta didik mampu mengkomunikasikan apa yang diinginkan dan dirasakan kepada lingkungan sekitar baik dengan verbal maupun non verbal.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are important for students and need to be optimized. Optimization of students' critical thinking skills can be done by using appropriate learning models and learning media that are appropriate to the students' conditions. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing Problem Based Learning and Project Based Learning models assisted by Flipbooks in improving students' critical thinking skills in science lessons. This study used a quasi-experimental method, with a sample of two experimental classes and one control class. The research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and independent t-test. The results of the analysis showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills in science lessons with an average score of 87.7 in the experimental class which was significantly higher than the control class (81.8). In the indicators of explanation, interpretation, and evaluation abilities, the average score of students in the experimental class was significantly higher than the control class students, while in the indicators of analyzing and providing arguments there was no significant difference. Student responses to flipbook learning media also showed that 85% of students gave a very good response to both PjBL learning and PBL learning, because flipbook media can make science lessons more meaningful.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategy of using e-worksheets to improve students' problem-solving skills in science learning at the junior high school level. The background of the study is based on the needs of 21st-century learning that requires students to master critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. The research method uses a one-group pre-test post-test design. The research instrument used is a problem-solving test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between problem-solving skills before and after learning using e-worksheets (p 0.001), and students' problem-solving skills increased in the moderate category (n-gain score: 0.36). E-worksheets were proven to strengthen exploration activities, guide step-by-step thinking processes, and provide feedback. These findings indicate that e-worksheets can be an effective alternative learning media to improve the quality of science learning.

Abstract

The background of the problem faced by the researcher is the lack of interest in learning and critical thinking skills of students in Indonesian language lessons. This is indicated by the results of the researcher’s observation by distributing a questionnaire in Class V of SDN Jragung 2 on February 12, 2024. The teacher has used learning media but has still not been able to improve students' interest in learning and critical thinking skills. The purpose of this research is to determine the practicality of Digital Comic Media Based on Local Wisdom to enhance students' interest in learning and critical thinking skills in Indonesian language learning in grade 5 elementary school and to determine the effectiveness of digital comic learning media based on local wisdom in improving critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students in Indonesian language learning. The approach used by the researcher is research and development (RnD) the research design used is the Borg and Gall model where the researcher only takes 7 steps, namely, information collection, planning, initial product development, initial trial, product revision, field trial, product registration. The research will be carried out in grade 5 at SD Negeri Jragung 2, Karangawen district in semester 2 with a total of 31 students. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques are validation tests, practicality tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and T tests. The results of research on the development of digital comic media based on local wisdom have been proven to be valid, effective, and practical to increase the interest in learning and critical thinking skills of 5th grade elementary school students.
