Abstract

Perguruan Thawalib Padang Panjang has contributed greatly to the nation. The history of its establishment cannot be separated from Surau Jembatan Besi. To uncover this problem the authors conducted research under the title " Perguruan Thawalib Padang Panjang in the Perspective of Educational History 1912-1926". This research aims at revealing the history of Perguruan Thawalib Padang Panjang, and its work in education. it is qualitative research through library studies. After conducting research, it was revealed that Surau Jembatan Besi, is used to implement the traditional education system, turned into Thawalib Padang Panjang, It implements a modern education system. The modernization of education is motivated by the demands of the people who need a noble, intelligent, critical, skilled generation. The renewal efforts carried out is to encourage the students with critical thinking, independent in opinion and skilled the organization, implementing classical system education, establishing teacher handbooks, and developing curriculum. The main figure in the modernization of education in Thawalib Padang Panjang is Sheikh Abdul Karim Amrullah, a charismatic cleric who has been in touch with modernization movements in the Middle East.

Abstract

Abstrak memuat uraian singkat mengenai masalah dan tujuan penelitian, metode yang digunakan dan hasil penelitian. Tekanan penulisan abstrak terutama pada hasil dan analisis penelitian. Abstrak ditulis dalam dua bahasa; bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris, hanya saja abstrak bahasa Inggris disajikan terlebih dahulu dengan format miring atau Italic. Jumlah kata berkisar antara 150-200 kata. Pengetikan abstrak dilakukan dengan spasi 1 atau tunggal front 10 jenis huruf Garamond dengan margin yang lebih sempit dari margin kanan dan kiri teks utama. Kata kunci perlu dicantumkan untuk menggambarkan ranah masalah yang diteliti dan istilah-istilah pokok yang mendasari pelaksanaan penelitian. Kata-kata kunci dapat berupa kata tunggal atau gabungan kata. Jumlah kata-kata kunci 3-5 kata. Kata-kata kunci ini diperlukan untuk komputerisasi. pencarian judul penelitian dan abstraknya dipermudah dengan kata-kata kunci tersebut. Kata Kunci: konsep, fitrah, manusia, pendidikan

Abstract

Learning Achievement is closely related with the teachers' ability and skill in choose most appropriate method. The qualified teachers present an interesting teaching and learning process,  maximazing the process became more possible.  The consideration in choosing a method in teaching process was underpine by the aspect of religional, biological, psychological and social. Concerning the religious aspect, teacher need to use al- Qur an as the references of the intended method.  The holy book is not only intersting to read, in the context of doing the deeds, but it is scientifically compeling to study because it is regarded as the sources and inpiration of sciences for human. al- Qur an peovides many idea on teaching methods, which are interesting and relevant to current condition, That is why   al-Qur an is everlatingly relevant.Keberhasilan proses pendidikan sangat erat kaitannya dengan kemampuan dan kecakapan pendidik dalam memilih metode. Pendidik yang mampu dan cakap dalam memilih metode akan dapat menghadirkan proses pendidikan yang menyenangkan dan menarik bagi anak didiknya, sehingga keberhasilan proses itu lebih memungkinkan untuk diraih secara maksimal. Pemilihan metode pendidikan didasari pada aspek agamis, biologis, psikologis, dan sosiologis. Dalam kaitannya dengan aspek agamis, pendidik perlu menjadikan al-Qur’an sebagai sumber metode pendidikan. al-Qur’an tidak hanya menarik dibaca dalam konteks ibadah, tetapi juga menarik untuk dikaji dalam konteks ilmiah karena ia merupakan sumber ilmu pengetahuan dan sumber inspirasi bagi manusia. Dalam al-Qur’an begitu banyak tersaji metode-metode pendidikan, yang semuanya menarik dan relevan untuk diterapkan dalam konteks kekinian, karena memang al-Qur’an relevan untuk sepanjang masa.

Abstract

Hasil yang maksimal dalam proses pendidikan Islam bisa dicapai dengan adanya kebersamaan oleh semua pihak terkait dalam melaksanakan tugas dan wewenang. Individu yang terlibat dalam pengelolaan pendidikan Islam adalah makhluk yang tidak lepas dari sisi kelemahan tetapi di sisi lain juga punya potensi besar. Kelemahan satu individu dapat dilengkapi oleh kehebatan individu yang lain dengan adanya pendelegasian tugas dan wewenang, yang berarti memberikan kekuasaan kepada seseorang untuk bertindak terhadap kepentingan pendidikan Islam. Di dalam pendelegasian itu terkandung pembagian tugas dan tanggung jawab bersama semata-mata demi kepentingan pendidikan Islam. al-Qur’an dan Hadits Nabi SAW telah mengajarkan tentang pendelegasian tugas dan wewenang dengan memperhatikan beberapa aspek, yaitu : fungsi dan keahlian penerima delegasi, rasa saling percaya, mengutamakan musyawarah, komitmen kerja, pengawasan, dan evaluasi.

Abstract

Kajian ini berangkat dari sikap responsif golongan Ulama Tradisional di Minangkabau ketika berhadapan dengan modernisme. Terutama pada bidang pendidikan Islam, Ulama Tradisional mempunyai respon tersendiri terhadap ide-ide pembaharuan yang dilontarkan oleh kelompok modernis. Ulama tradisional tidak serta merta menolak segala macam ide-ide pembaharuan, tapi mereka menyesuaikan dengan prinsip keagamaan yang mereka pertahankan. Secara umum mereka menerima ide-ide pembaharuan bidang pendidikan, tapi mereka menolak mengubah materi ajar sebagaimana dilakukan oleh golongan Modernis. Kajian ini terfokus pada Madrasah Irsyadiyah yang didirikan oleh ulama tradisional Minangkabau yang paling “gigih” terhadap modernitas yaitu Syaikh Muhammad Khatib Ali. Pada Madrasah Irsyadiyah yang didirikannya, Muhammad Khatib Ali mengubah format bentuk dari semula halaqah menjadi sistem klasikal, namun ia tetap mempertahankan prinsip-prinsip kaum tradisional, yaitu Akidah Asy’ariyah, Fiqih Syafi’iyyah, dan Tasawuf Sunni.

Abstract

The flow of globalization has penetrated various lines of life, including how to dress. New trends in clothing also continue to experience developments and changes. Dress styles that are open and accentuate the curves of the body so that a fashionable Muslim fashion style becomes stylish and trendy on the grounds that she has an attractive appearance. This style of dress has penetrated various levels of society, including Muslims. Departing from this problem, a library research was carried out by placing four tafsir books, as well as several other literatures as sources. Based on the research results, it turns out that from a long time ago the Qur'an has educated people about the ideal dress code. al-Qur'an educates people clearly and decisively to dress according to the type, context, and ethics that are correct according to Islamic law. All of this is in line with the essential purpose of dressing, namely maintaining honor, dignity, and avoiding human beings from slander and sin.

Abstract

One of the efforts that teachers can do to attract students to learn, one of which is by designing interesting learning media. Based on observations and interviews conducted in the eighth grade at Islamic boarding school Al-Kautsar, it was found that there was still a lack of interest in student learning so that during the learning took place students did not pay attention to the teacher, the teaching materials used were only glued to existing books, and the teacher's lack of creativity in designing learning media that was able to attract students to learn. Based on this, researchers designed a learning media in the form of an electronic module in learning Arabic. The purpose of this study is to produce Arabic learning media in the form of valid, practical and effective electronic modules so that it can help students in understanding Arabic material in the learning process. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach to research and development methods in the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The results showed that: 1) the results of the validity of learning media using electronic modules in Arabic language learning obtained were 86.8% with very valid categories, 2) the results of the practicality of learning media using electronic modules in Arabic language learning obtained from the results of the student response questionnaire, namely 94% while the results of the teacher response questionnaire were 97.5% with a very practical category, and the increase in pretest and posttest scores was analyzed using the N-gain test, which was 0.73 with a high category. With this, it can be concluded that the learning media using electronic modules in Arabic language learning are designed to be valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

 The development of professionalism in educational administration is key to addressing the challenges of the Society 5.0 era, where technology and digitalization dominate various sectors, including education. This article discusses the importance of a needs-based approach and relevant strategies for enhancing professionalism in educational administration. By analyzing the demands of the Society 5.0 era, educational administration is required not only to master managerial skills but also to adapt to technological advancements and understand the more complex educational needs. The main strategies proposed include continuous training, the use of digital technology, and collaboration among stakeholders. The ultimate goal is to ensure that educational administration can support the improvement of educational quality and respond to global challenges through a flexible, innovative, and adaptive approach. Thus, professionalism in educational administration will remain relevant and effective in achieving higher educational standards in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the acculturation and assimilation processes that ethnic Chinese in West Sumatra undergo upon converting to Islam, that the conversion does not lead to an outright abandonment of traditions. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive analysis approach, this research underscores how religious conversion fundamentally alters an individual's worldview and behavior. Converts to Islam are encouraged to earnestly learn and adhere to Sharia and Islamic teachings, initiating their spiritual journey with religious observances and distancing themselves from practices associated with their former beliefs. However, the conversion process is significantly influenced by one's environment, which plays a pivotal role in shaping the assimilation and acculturation experience of ethnic Chinese Muslims. This environment encompasses both familial and social contexts. The family environment, where individuals are connected by kinship—whether as children, spouses, or other familial roles—is marked by intensive interaction and communication. Yet, this close-knit communication does not necessarily guarantee a seamless conversion to another faith. Beyond the family, the surrounding social environment, including the workplace, extended family, and broader societal interactions, also impacts the conversion journey. Within these spheres, various factors either facilitate or hinder the process of embracing Islam for ethnic Chinese individuals. This study delves into these dynamics, examining the multifaceted influences on religious conversion and the subsequent negotiation between maintaining cultural heritage and adopting new religious identities. Through this analysis, the research seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of the complex interplay between religion, culture, and identity among ethnic Chinese Muslims in West Sumatra
