Abstract

Rabbani Wahed Dance is a traditional dance that grows and develops in Samalanga, Bireuen, Aceh. The Rabbani Wahed dance was inspired by Meugrob's movements and poetry which is originated from the practice of the Tarekat Shammaniyah. This dance serves as a media for preaching Islam and contains the value of religious character. This study aims to find out the religious values that contained in Rabbani Wahed dance. In addition, Qualitative method is used in this research. The location of the study was conducted at the Seulanga studio, Sangso village, Samalanga, Bireuen. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validation techniques use the source triangulation. Moreover, the data analysis techniques are carried out by data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of the study concluded that the religious value of Rabbani Wahed dance contained in the poem, including the verse of Saleum that explains about mutual respect, Bismillah illustrates about the goodness, Salatullah talks about praise of the Prophet and obedience to Allah, Attahiyatoen explains about obedience to parents, Allah Rabbani explains the faith to Allah, Sultan Maujuddoen says about the power of Allah, Din Awai Din illustrates about knowing of Allah and the verse of Allahu explains about the majesty of Allah.

Abstract

In the school-based curriculum of fine arts, a school can teach its material to students, including making crafts from ceramics. This research discusses the use of ceramics as a medium for teaching fine arts to elementary school students in “SDIT” Permata Hati, Banjarnegara. This research employed qualitative design with the interdisciplinary approach. It used observation, interview, and literature reviews to collect the data. The data were validated using triangulation. The research followed the sequence of analysis starting from data reduction, data presentation, and verification. This research found that ceramics, as the medium of teaching fine arts, can initiate ideas and creativity for the children. Then, the teaching of fine arts teaches the students to appreciate and create artworks in SDIT Permata Hati inside and outside of the school in the centre of ceramics artisans.

Abstract

Baptism Church Indonesia (GBI) Ngembak uses Javanesse gamelan (traditional music accompaniment) to accompany the Sundays’ worship which is held every Sunday in the end month. The purpose of this research is to analyze the form of Javanese gamelan music in a worship liturgy of Baptism Church Indonesia (GBI) Ngembak. The research method used qualitative with case study research design. Data collecting techniques are observation, interview, and document study. To maintain its validity, the researcher uses the technique of source triangulation. While the technique of data analysis is done by the process of reduction, presentation, and conclusion (verification). The research findings show that the form of musical composition in one of worship songs in GBI Ngembak is a song titled Puji Nama-Nya (Praise His name) uses bar of 4/4, the types of melody is stepping and jumping. Its harmony is one voice although in the book of Nyanyian Pujian (Hymn) provides the harmony of Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass. The structure of musical form in Puji Nama-Nya song has two parts, they are part A and part B. and the lyrics of this song is a, a , a , a. This song uses a particular musical arrangement of Javanese gamelan accompaniment laras Pelog.

Abstract

Multicultural Education in Indonesian context has a very significant role and function. The variety of cultures also exists in Batang dua island. The ethnic groups in North Maluku are Loloda, Tobaru, Ternate, Javanese, Minahasan, Ambonese, Batak and many more. The purpose of this research is to explain the values of multicultural education in Tali Dua traditional music in Ternate, North Maluku. The research method used is qualitative approach. The technique of collecting data used are observation, interview, and document study. The data validity is checked by applying triangulation technique. Then, the data are analyzed by using data verification, data reduction and data presentation. The result of the study showd that Tali Dua music has multicultural values which are very important for the development of Indonesia, seen in the function of the music either in wedding events or in the lawidi tradition.

Abstract

Every chidren has various kinds of intellegence. As they get older, their intelligence also has been developed . In this case, It is necessary to provide proper stimulation. So on their intellegence can be optimally developed. One of effective stimulation is outbound activities. Through outbond activities, children will be stimulated their bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, and naturalist intelligence which are needed by them when interacting with their surroundings. The aim of this study was to analyze intepersonal, bodily kinestic intelligence, and naturalist intelligence of children in outbond activities that has been held in PAUD (TK B) Alam Ar Ridlo Tembalang Semarang. The approach of this study was qualitative. The collected data was carried out through observation, interview, and documentation. The data was validated through data source triagulation, theory triagulation, and triagulation of review information. To analyze data, this study used three techniques, 1) data reduction, 2) data presentation, and 3) conclusion and its verification. This study that was held in PAUD (TK B) Alam Ar Ridlo Tembalang Semarang shows that outbond activities can stimulate children’s interpersonal intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, and naturalist intelligence.

Abstract

This research analyses the building of cooperative and creative character in the teaching of singing unison. This research employed the qualitative method. The data of this research were obtained from observation, interview, and documentation. The analysis of the data was in the sequence of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification or conclusion. The finding showed that the teaching of singing in unison instil the character of cooperativeness when the students play different musical instruments together. Besides, cooperativeness is also realised when the students sang that in the group. In teaching arts, the song also contained the value of creativity of which the students can solve specific task given by the teacher and when the students developed the rhythmic pattern of the song with a traditional instrument. The findings implied education, particularly musical education.

Abstract

The transformation of furniture craft shape in Tempel village Lemahbang is done by the craftsmen to face the market development. This research aims at understanding the transformation of furniture craft shape in Tempel village Lemahbang Blora in facing market development. The research method was qualitative while the data collection technique used observation, interview, document study. The technique of data validity used source triangulation, while the data analysis procedure used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research result is that the furniture transformation happened from the shape and material. The shape aspect transformation is from classical furniture, such as wooden table or chair in Perancisan (French) style to rustic style. The rustic shape of furniture has created tables, chairs, and ornamental animal shaped furniture. The rustic furniture created by the craftsman has rough shape, preserve natural characteristic from the material used, i.e, bonggol (part of Jati tree’s root). The research findings show that the furniture crafts in Blora experience shape transformation to keep up with market development. The benefit of the research for arts education especially formal arts education agency is as a source of arts teaching learning based on local culture. The suggestion for the craftsmen is always to develop their self-potential, especially their English competency so that they will be easy to communicate with foreign customers.

Abstract

Sining dance is the parent of dances in Gayo. Sining dance is one of traditional dances that supports the development of tourism in Central Aceh. The purpose of this research is to analyze the Sining dance and its role of tourism in Central Aceh. The research method was qualitative descriptive and used ethnographic approach.The data collection was used techniques of observation, deep interview, and document study. Data validation was done with data triangulation, source triangulation, and method triangulation while the the analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion drawing. The results show that the performance of Sining dance plyas a role as cultural attraction, Sining dance also becomes one of tourism attraction through documenter video, Sining dance in one of presentation in a show, and Sining dance is a means of entertainment. The occurence of Sining dance in tourism influences the economic benefit of Central Aceh community and automatically it can preserved Sining dance itself. This research is useful as a vehicle for developing studies on traditional art problems, and is useful as an empirical input for relevant government agencies.

Abstract

Hak-hakan is a traditional art included as the part of Hak-Hakan ritual in Kaliyoso Village, Tegalombo, Kalikajar, Wonosobo. Hak-hakan reflects the history of the establishment of Kaliyoso Village from the opening of the area, creating water channel (wangan), until the creation of Kaliyoso Village. This research aimes to describe Hak-hakan as the interaction media between societies as well as the meaning of Hak-Hakan in ritual ceremony. This research was a qualitative research. The technique of collecting data was using observation, interview, and document. The techniques of analyzing data were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The result of the research showed that Hak-hakan became the media of interaction in the rituals through; First, the interaction of the society to their ancestors from the offerings during the preparation and the execution of the performance; and Second, is the interaction between art performers which happens between leaders and dancers and between dancers through symbols of Hak-hakan, including movement, male dancers, and dialogue. The movements of this art are nglamak tumeka pelusan, mangkat babat babat, ngratakke lamak, pasang gebal, tayuban. Dialogue is executed in the form of talks to each other initiated by the shout of the leader (pelandang) then continued with questions and answer and invitation through discussion for working together to open the area. The meaning of Hak-hakan is contained in the symbol of the offerings, movements, male dancers, and dictions.

Abstract

The patterns of batik are strongly influenced by geographical location of the area of manufacture, the state of environment surrounding, and the flora and fauna. Sarolangun area which travesed by Batang Tembesi river makes people familiar with their natural environment. Seluang fish is small fish that Sarolangun endemic which are often waited its existence by the fishermen because of their habit swimming on the river surface in groups. The purpose of the research is to analyze batik patterns Seluang Mudik in Sarolangun regency, Jambi province. The method used in this research was qualitative with observation, interview, and document study as the technique of data collecting. The data validity used the technique of information triangulation from various sources, methods, and theories. The data analysis was done by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The results show that batik motif Seluang Mudik that has various decoration Seluang fish that together swim to a destination to ease the burden against the flow when they immigrate to upstream. It closely relates to the identity of Sarolangun-Jambi society means the knitted togetherness. This togetherness can be found at the events held in society that always be together. One of them is in Lumbo Biduk event, hand in hand in Baralek event, and so on. Implications given by this research is that it can be beneficial for development of batik, for the society surrounding toward environment, for young generations to recognize culture in Sarolangun and for government to support regional potential.
